Stopped at Foxhill recently, found the site very clean, Toilets excellent, showers excellent if a little hot!
Owner is one of the most laid back blokes I've ever met! very pleasant chap.
Ideal for us as a base to visit attractions around the site, nipped down to Stamford bridge which is literally minutes away, York & Scarborough (which isn't bad considering we only stopped 3 nights).
Kids 'Play park' could do with a few more things : just a wooden bridge and two swings there at the moment.
No WIFI at the moment : the park has apparently had some abuse of the facility and discontinued it for the moment (and definitely no 4 or even 3G in area).
Reasonable rates, I think it cost us £70 for 3 1/2 days, and we were allowed a discount on the awning price, because we put up a tiny porch awning - again thanks to the nice owner.
All in all, a very pleasant site, with very pleasant people running it. Ideal for short stays, or as a base of operation.

We have now stayed at this site several times. The site is clean, pitch sizes good, and all well maintained. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and it is a lovely, pretty place to chill out. Once here you are in easy reach of York, The Coast and the many attractions which can be found within 20 miles. We will visit again without question, it is a credit to the owners.

We stayed on this site a number of years ago when they first opened and have stayed numerous times since. A quiet site that is close enough to York and within easy reach of Pickering, Filey and Scarborough. The site only gets better. Kathy and Karl who are the owners are lovely people and couldn't be more helpful. The site is very close to the best fish and chip shop on the planet. Thompson's. Love it. Lewis & Janet

We have just returned home after a fabulous week long camping vacation at Foxhill Park. Carl and Kathy are great owners with nothing too much trouble.
We had a ten man tent with 4 adults, a teenager and 4 under 4 years. There was lots of space to run around with out disturbing any other campers.
The toilet and shower block were always spotless at any time of the day. There are good washing up and laundry facilities.
Whilst we were camping we celebrated our twins third birthday and had several family members visit for the day. The campsite did not charge any extra for each extra person like many other campsites do, some up to £5 each.
The campsite is ideally placed for many local attractions, Castle Howard, Flamingo Land and York with great transport links.
Monks Cross shopping centre is only 8 miles away with a number of supermarkets for supplies.
I would highly recommend this campsite to everyone who is looking for a relaxed campsite with lots of space and close to numerous attractions. 10/10 across the board.

What an excellent site.
This was our first trip with our folding camper and it was just great.
The owners met us on arrival and showed us to our pitch. Shower and toilet facilities were excellent, always very clean.
Site had a bus stop right outside which took you into centre of York and also was very close to the Monks Cross park and ride which we used on several occasions.
Some nice local pubs nearby too so plenty of choices for eating out.
We are looking forward to returning here in the summer.

We used this site to break up our trip from down south.
Its a lovely, quiet and relaxed site.
Pitches were big and plenty of room for the kids to play. There was also picnic benches to use which was great.
The toilets and showers were lovely and kept lovely and clean. The only thing about the showers was they were far too hot, they were too hot for me and definitely for my 6 year old. It would be better if they just turned them down a bit.
The owners were lovely and friendly.
This is only an hour and half from home, so would definitely use this site again and would definitely recommend it.

Lovely quiet site, no rules on this site. Friendly helpful staff clean toilets and showers. One thing that they need is another toilet and shower block one block with only 3 toilets and 3 showers is not enough when the site is full, spent to much time queuing. There is a dog walk on site but my dogs like to have a run off the lead we found one, turn left out of site back into the village at the cross roads turn right 5 mins down the road on the left is a farm turn in just before farm there is a small car park. Go through the gate it leads into woods where you can let your dogs off

Just had a short weekend break here, once again we really enjoyed it. A cracking site run by a very helpful owner.
We recommend this site to all, and have recommended on the Trigowners club.
Amenities are as always excellent, we will be returning. Though close to the A64, the trees will as the green up, will block out fully the road noise, though we did not notice it this weekend.
Thanks again

Just got back from a lovely weekend at Foxhill park. There was a choice of grass or hardstanding pitches, some sloping.
The toilet facilities were clean. There were hairdryers for 20p which was more than adequate. My shower only lasted 20 seconds before I had to press it again which was a bit annoying.
We received a friendly welcome and were told that we could get the bus into York from the campsite gate, which we did. It was a very good service and couldn't have been better for us.
There is a field for children to play with a goal post and swings, very basic but my girls had a great time running round and flying a kite.
It was peaceful and quiet at night. We would recommend this site.

What a lovely, quite, clean, little site, stayed here on a last minute thing, wanted to stay near York and the site was ideal for this. Excellent new shower blocks/toilets very clean and a little shop. Staff was very friendly and asked if we could stay till late on the Sunday and they agreed without hesitation. Would highly recommend if you want peace and quiet with easy access to York and surround areas.
