We stayed here at the end of may for a couple of nights.Loads of room to pitch up.Toilets and showers were very clean, there was a code for the door which was a bit difficult for our 8yr old to remember.Close to York,we drove to a park and ride and then spent all day there.Easier and cheaper. Also close to Castle Howard and Malton.
No pubs within walking distance but owners gave us directions to a good one 10mins drive away.
Small play area for kids.
All in all a nice quiet site, close to attractions. Will hopefully return.

What a fantastic site and the weather was very kind to us. The owners are fab people and really helpful. The toilet block is 2nd to none, the best we have ever used and trust me we have used some in our time. The only downside was the park, it was very basic but maybe it will be changed in time, afterall karl and kath are new to this so hey give them a chance. We shall definitely be back 5 stars from us

We stayed at Foxhill over the May Bank Holiday. We found the park to be of high quality with good standards being maintained.
The park is in a good location 6 miles from York and 30 miles from the East coast resorts and close to Castle Howard.
All the park facilities are new and the owners are very friendly.
This was our first time on the park but not our last, we will be back later in the year.

We had called to look at this site last year as we had heard it was new and Karl the owner took us for a tour of the facilities , however due to the poor weather we never got away. Well just having acquired a folding camper and with the weather taking an upturn for the weekend , we gave this site a visit. Karl gave us a choice of pitch and called up later to see if all was fine. Soon got chatting to others who had used the site on quite a few occasions this year (this speaks volumes). Facilities are new and very well kept , shop stocks basics and site is near to York (Monks Cross outlet is worth a visit) and east coast. No pub in village (no hardship really) just opened a few cans and chatted with neighbours. Overall a very pleasant & quiet site. We will definitely use this site again .

What a lovely camp site. The facilities were gorgeous - very clean with all of the facilities you could want. Clean toilets and showers with nice hot water; washing machine and tumble drier. They even sell some 'forgots' in an on-site shop. Karl, the owner, is incredibly helpful.
This site is really useful for York trips, and has all of the major supermarkets within easy reach (at the Monks Cross shopping park).
If you stay here - and you'd be mad not to - you must have dinner at the Blacksmith's Arms pub in Flaxton. We went there for dinner, then found that we had to return the next night too!
I can honestly find no criticisms of this site. It was quiet, peaceful, and very well located for all of York's attractions.

We spent a week camping at Foxhill Park, the weather wasn't kind to us, most of the time it absolutely poured down, with only a couple of decent days.
The site owners were really kind and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. As my niece has diabetes they let us use the fridge to store her insulin and use their freezer for our freezer blocks.
The toilets were immaculate, they regularly got cleaned and mopped. There is a washing machine and a dryer (both cost £2.00 to use), even an ironing board and iron, at no cost.
The site is flat and has a play area for the children. There is a small shop, which sells ice-creams, milk, sausages etc. The only downside was no bread.
The Co-op store at Stamford Bridge sells everything you need and also has a cash machine which you are not charged to use.
We will definitely stay on this site again.
We wish the owners every success in the future, they are a hard working family.

What a great site , we are novices at camping not visited many places as yet. Glad we found this one it's a nice flat site plenty of space between the plots, the wash room / showers / toilets are new and cleaned regular, they have hair dryers 20p for the use of, a washer and dryer (small charge) and free use of iron and board. Kath and Carl are very welcoming always seam to be there if you need them or a phone call away. A very nice pub Four Alls serving food all day just down the road on A64 and a great fish and chip shop eat in or take away. We stayed here and drove each day into yorks Monk cross park and ride( closes at 8.30 pm) we found this much cheaper(adult return £2.30) than the £10.00 a day to park in York and if you are going to York buy a York pass for trips out. All in all we had a great time will definitely go back sometime.

Have visited this site on a few occasions and always recommend to friends. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Site and toilets, facilities are always immaculate. Site is flat and has a good dog walk, trees and shrubs are newly planted and will look lovely once all have grown.
Plan to visit again soon :)

Just come back from 2 night stay at this great camp site, pitches for tents were really good all flat. To say this site has only been opened a short time it was very well run, someone in office until late. Provided picnic benches on site also showers and toilets spotless definately going back,

We have just come back from this lovely site. We stayed 3 nights over the bank holiday with a motorhome and tent and had a very nice time. This relatively new site is a fine site in the making. Once the planted trees mature and everything settles down this will be a fine site for anyone passing through York on the way to Bridlington or Scarborough, it is very conveniently situated about half a mile off the A64. The washroom facilities were excellent and the office/shop was always manned. The owners were very good hosts, they are local farmers. Highly recommended.
