Loved the location and how quiet the site was. It is only a couple of minutes walk from the lovely Village.
Even though there is only a couple of toilets and one shower, it was never an issue and never had to wait.
Would definitely recommend, also would recommend a trip to Hunmanby Gap (about 30 mins away), well worth travelling for at low tide if you have a dog.

Excellent location in the centre of Thornton Le Dale.
Quiet when we visited - no campers and not all of the 5 hard standing pitches were occupied every night.
Two toilets and one shower in each of the male and female facilities - might lead to a bit of a queue in peak times.
Easy walk to Pickering on public footpaths.
Longer walk to Dalby Forest and Go Ape - again on public footpaths. Or cycle and take advantage of the many cycling trails.
Surprised to pay £29 per night on a CL - Bangers & Cash auction weekend perhaps explains it (though at present you can only attend online)

Loved this site, the owners were amazing they work hard in keeping the site clean spotless and very friendly.
The location is ideal just behind "Bangers and Cash" which we visited. Short walk to the pubs a few shops was disappointed by the choice had to walk to nearby Pickering to the farm shop to buy some meat ect No bus stop to catch the bus back nearby yet buses went by regularly it was 26c so a bit warm.
There is some lovely walks in the area and if you have dogs you wouldn't be disappointed.
The site has a fabulous enclosed dog field where the dogs can run free, just off site the are 2 public footpaths and if you walk into the village there are some lovely woodland and public footpath walks
Would we be back. Without a doubt yes as we loved our stay.

This is a perfect small site, the owners Helen and Niel are a joy to be with,
The price per night is very reasonable, they also have a camping field next to the site,
The site is kept spotless and the facilities are well up to standard,
The site is central for everything you need, shops chippy pubs and plenty of great walks in and around Thornton Le Dale, it is on a bus route.
I would be looking forward to using this site again in the not to distant future.

Hi Just returned from visiting this lovely welcoming site right in the centre of the village of Thornton le dale.
It is off the main road so no road noise. Peaceful.
Very well maintained pretty site. Very clean one of the best sites we have visited and we have visited plenty over the years.
Can’t wait to return.
Highly recommended. Massive thank you to the owners 😊

Next door to bangers and cash auction.
