Arrived on the Friday for bank hol weekend 4 day break. A warm greeting from the site owners on arrival. Shown to a reserved pitch as the site only holds a 28 day licence and our stay would have gone beyond the limit. This was in the part which takes 5 caravans normally. By early evening there were 6 caravans and our tent. The camping field was fairly large but on a slope however it had been levelled out in strips as you went up the field and was fairly empty.

There was a toilet with a wash basin and cold water. Hot water at the owners bungalow and shower again at the bungalow where there was one inside the entrance at a £1 a time.

Thornton le dale is a great place to visit and lots of walks in and around the area.Pickering, Scarborough, Whitby and the north Yorkshire moors are all within a short distance
