The last review sums up the site in the same words I would use. Really enjoyed the stay, great location and good facilities.
Indeed the new shower/toilet block is open and I never had to wait for the showers at all over the bank holiday and the site was really busy. Water was always hot which was an added bonus. Showers work on a token basis. 50p = 1 token = 3.5 minutes supposedly - you get longer. 2 tokens per shower is ample and I like a long shower.!
Loved the fact you could pick your pitch. We went near the woods as far away as possible. It is a trek back up to the toilet block but nice and secluded with the cows to share breakfast with just the other side of the fence!
Only negative is that because of the laid back approach, there are no policies for large groups so our nice secluded spot became invaded by a group of 20+ and another 10+ people. Made it rather noisy and loud. Having said this, I think it was unfortunate. This is the first time in our camping history that we have encountered such inconsiderate campers and I would hope that this didn't put other campers off this weekend.

We have just returned from a three night stay at Breck Farm, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Having said that, if you are looking for a ‘smart’, highly organised site, with extensive, and plush facilities, then you're in the wrong place.
However, if you are looking for a relaxed and friendly site, with loads of open space, well situated for the glorious north Norfolk coast, if you are looking for the chance to sit by your campfire, and watch the stars over a glass of wine, then you are definitely in the right place.
The new toilet block is now open, although they are still working on it. It is still no-frills, but there are more showers, and plenty of toilets. Even on a busy bank holiday there were no queues. There is also a washing up area and a small freezer for ice packs.
There are no pitches, you pick your spot, and no arrival/departure times. The owners are friendly, and helpful, but this is a working farm, so if you arrive on a quiet day, there may not be someone waiting on your arrival. Logs and kindling are available from the farm, as are eggs, potatoes and other produce.
Dogs are welcome, if under control, and they will love the extensive walks in the woodland and heathland that surround the site.

We have been to Breck Farm 4 times now having only owned a very old caravan for a couple of years. This site is big basic and how I imagined caravanning should be. Yes the toilet blocks are pretty grim and the new block has promised to be done for a while.Every time we go our two children are in their element. They always make loads of friends get really muddy and have loads of fun. Our last trip we went with friends and their 3 children and took my pal and her 2.In total we had 7 children ranging from 5 - 13.They were all very well behaved and had a great time on their bikes in the woods.Bearing in mind we went in August (our wettest for years) yes there was loads of children.

We stayed here in august 2008, our set up was two adults two children (ages 11/14) plus extras etc.
On arrival we were met with a very friendly welcome and told we could pitch where we wanted to, but also found out that if you wanted ehu you couldn't have open fire so we opted for the open fire. The field where you are allowed to pitch and have open fires has old fire marks dotted around, which didn't bother us but thought they could have arranged them a bit better then just leave it up to everyone to have a fire where they liked. But that is just a observation, not a moan. We had friends with us who opted to stay on the field with ehu. Which was also busier then where we were, they were also met with a nice welcome and as they arrived very late.
The site is very spacious, quite and friendly you can buy logs eggs from the farmer as already mentioned in other reviews. We had expected to see the new shower block up, but all there was, was a steel frame but didn't let this bother us. The showers were ok and clean. The ladies I'm told were also ok and clean. The mens I can say were fly ridden and unclean and also right by the washing up area. The only let down of the site but I'm sure when the new shower block is up and running it will be a perfect site.
We loved the site, the woods were great for adults and kids alike. Just down the road is sheringham which is a lovely sea side resort. There is lots to see and do locally we spent most of our time onsite playng games as plenty of space but when we did go out there was always something to see or do our friends who came with us loved the site also but were a little let down by the toilets also.
Don't let this put you off, its a basic site but has so much to offer we have booked again for this year and are more prepared ie porta loo.
The prices are very reasonable
The site is very flat
Good location, shops close by walking distance or short trip in car
If you want a basic site which at the end of the day you can unwind with a nice drink round a camp fire with family and friends then this is the place .

I loved this site, the owners are very welcoming and helpful, it's very good value for money (I loved the fact that money from ice block freezing when to charity). I thought the showers and toilets were fine, even over the busy last weekend of the school hols, queueing was minimal, and clean too. I hope the new facilities don't drive the prices up too much and make the site too commercial, because I love it as it is!

This site left us divided. My husband says he would visit again, while I couldn't wait to get away. (We moved on after one night). It is relaxed, the owners are friendly, it is very cheap and there is a lot of space. It is lovely that they allow campfires - and infact with the sale of wood and marshmallows you could say they are positively encouraged. During our stay it was very quiet and peaceful in the evening, and with no light-pollution the night sky was beautiful. By day, there is plenty of space for riding bikes, ball games etc, and woods for further play or recreation.
Camping is in a very large rough-grassed field with tree borders to two sides. There are no allocated pitches and at our visit most campers chose the more sheltered edges. There appears to be no restrictions on where fires can be placed resulting in many discarded firesites polka-dotting the field. Our children delighted in digging in these sandpit style. (Very messy!)
The toilet facilities are in the main farm courtyard and therefore subject to straying chickens and farmyard smells. For women there are two toilet cubicles with hand basins. These are not too old and were reasonably clean. However, for a site of this size I thought them inadequate. They opened directly off the farm courtyard, so all dirt, drafts, insects and stray animals come straight in. While they have a small handbasin, it is right next the toilet bowl and not somewhere I would want to hang around long enough to wash or brush teeth. Next-door are two coin operated unisex shower cubicles - they did not look inviting. The Gents loos looked like those dilapidated facilities you find in old pubs. I didn't go in, you can see as you walk past. The promised new toilet, washing-up and laundry block currently consists of a roof but no walls. Their website now says due for completion this autumn. I would certainly phone to check if this is important to you. I had expected it to be completed by late summer and wished I had asked!

Just back from bank holiday weekend at Breck Farm. As a regular at this site we had another fantastic long weekend. Stayed Friday to bank hol Monday, not overcrowded but busier than usual.
Yes the toilets have still to be done, but we have never been to bothered by this.
Breck farm is a basic site, sometimes loud with music and dogs barking(ours barks at everything and everything) but if you like having fun,in relaxed woodland setting then this is the place to be. Wouldn't advise it for the quieter more reserved camper, but then the other field can be much quieter if thats what you want.
The campfires really do make such a difference, if only more sites offered it.
We will be back again soon, have now been 8 times in past 2 years (me, hubby, kids, 11 & 15 years and noisy dog)
WE LOVE IT !

We enjoyed our stay here, the showers and toilets suffice if others are considerate and being an early riser I did not usually have to queue. Walking to the toilet can be a trek but not huge issue. Good that although a large number of people on site , did not feel cramped at all, nice to see kids being kids, nice to have option of campfire. Friendly owners, nothing too much trouble. Reasonably priced per night

We have just returned from spending a week at Breck Farm.
The week was very good value at £13 per night, inc a hook-up.There was plenty of space, and the site was relaxed and quiet.
As stated by previous reviewers, the toilets and showers were not brilliant. I would be reluctant to go back until the new (32) shower block is finished. The showers cost £1 for five mins, and you have to keep your hand or bum! on the button to prevent the shower turning off. Queues built up in the morning for the four showers.( thank God for wet wipes and strip washes).
If you want a camp fire, you can't have a hook-up, or visa - versa. (different parts of the field).
The only advice I would give people, is take your own loo and washing- up bowl. It was also very windy at times, as the site is quite exposed. The wind broke one of our tent poles. Luckily we used strong tape to fix it, before getting a replacement pole from the camping shop at West Runton. Definitely a site to use Delta Ground Anchors on. The sandy soil, however, dries quickly even after a bad thunder storm!
Overall it's a good site, but it is not pristine.
Finally,we can recommend the fish and chips shop on the Quay at Wells and the lovely (dog friendly) Gardens at Fairhaven at South Walsham, 9 miles SE of Norwich.

Just got back from an awesome break to this site.
When we first pulled up we wasn't sure as it is a farm but once we had signed in at the house we drove round the corner to acres of land - we had never seen so much space.
We were only a way for 2 nights so did not adventure out on walks but did have a nose in to the lovely pine woods that surround the site and we can't wait to come back next year with our bikes to adventure.
We did find on the Saturday there is a market in Weybourne in the main car park (taking up about half) so if wanting to spend the day there on a Saturday be prepared to wait 5-10 mins for a space.
Yes the facilities that are there at the moment are very basic but I found them to be as clean as any busy site in peak season and if you would like to shower my advise go a little later in the day or get up first. My only complaint is a better light in the shower
We are already planning our next trip back there - Thanks to the owners for a lovely relaxed site and allowing camp fires.
