We stayed there from Wednesday to Sunday with hookup. Up to the weekend the site offered lots of space but come Friday the site became very busy and camped in the hook up areas. This is probably an ideal site for families but if you are looking for peace and quiet then either go during the week or out of school holidays. Even for the site being very busy you never had to wait for the toilets or showers which were clean. Ample washing up sinks. Only one grey waster water point but again never had to wait to use. There is a very large playing area and lots of tracks in the wood great for walking the dog. On Fridays and fish and chip van is on site in the evening. Saturday night there is a South African van well worth a try for the unusual. Holt and Sheringham are within easy travelling distance. We went from Holt to Sheringham on the North Norfolk Railway and saved the hassle of trying to park in Sheringham.

Nice peaceful, off the beaten track site.

Lovely friendly family run site. Quiet side for those with children, lots of great walks from the site.

Not far drive to Cromer or Sheringham if you need shops etc.

Great for a long weekend away.

On arrival we were met by a very friendly and helpful lady, who answered all our questions, we booked late and still were able to get an electric hook up. On this site you are not allocated a pitch, you choose your pitch, which is great, the space is very generous for all the pitches. Campfires are very popular, there is plenty of room on the fields allocated to do this, so we did this one evening. The showers, toilets and washing up facilities were always clean, though, were always busy, due to the time of year. Great site for visiting North Norfolk.

We arrived early on the Friday prior to the bank holiday to find plenty of space and were free to pitch where we wanted. Post code provided took us directly to camp site and was easy to find the reception and book in.

Slowly throughout the day it began filling up and large groups arrived, by late Friday the field we were in (10pm quiet time) was pretty much full up. As a result our neighbours friends tent had its guy ropes in line with ours- not enough space is left between tents and this isn't managed at the site. However We weren't charged extra for dogs/gazebo which was a nice change and accepted we had a decent sized pitch.

Considering the amount of people at the site the facilities coped surprisingly well, my only suggestion would be that it needs a separate changing area after showers. There is no-where dry to get changed and after the shower everyone uses the mirrors above sinks which mean when you use the toilet you always had to ask people to move which was annoying. They also only have 1 handryer! Not too dirty but could do with more regular cleaning on such a busy weekend. They do have freezers which are incredibly poor and could do with replacing, they didn't freeze our ice-blokes after 2 hrs.

Overall we enjoyed our experience at Break Farm, it is a relaxed site but does have wardens driving round. We were asked to reduce the noise on the first night as it was past 10pm which was fair enough. My main issue would be that people feel the need to constantly drive to the toilet block also a reckless family were riding their moped up and down the field (often with 2-3 children without helmets!). This woke me up several times early morning (before 6am, I'm not being a grouch). I think better rules regarding usage of motor vehicles would improve the experience.

Location was good- only 15 mins from Cromer. Kelling Heath could be accessed 10 mins through the woodland which had a good shop, bar and pizza restaurant.

First time to this site lovely quiet site, lovely surroundings. Enjoyed our stay until the weekend when it got very crowded, most dogs were not on leads allowed to roam all over, we had one visit our awning. Children kicking footballs around caravans shame they didn't use the football pitch provided. Although we didn't use the shower/ toilet block it always looked clean. We would visit again but not on a bank holiday weekend as the site gets over crowded. Could do with more supervision during the day from wardens. Unfortunately we left a day early because of this.

This site has everything to offer if you like this kind of site and I imagine that someone would either love it or not depending on preferences. It is a very big site capable of accommodating a large number of tents caravans and campers which are all mixed together over 3 fields which are well drained and mainly flat.

The owners are very nice friendly people who appear to have the best interests of their guests at heart; facilities are good and extensive plenty of shower and toilets for example which given the numbers on the site when I visited were never difficult to access and were acceptably clean. There is also a breakfast bar available from 8am – 11am serving egg, bacon, sausage etc cobs which are excellent.

The location is brilliant if you are into walking, cycling etc. The site has forestry commission plantations at the side and rear through which you can walk to Holt or across Kelling Heath towards the coast path. Turn left out of the drive and go for less than a mile and you get to Weybourne station on the North Norfolk Railway on which you can ride on a steam train into Sheringham or Holt. Cromer is about 6 miles and Sheringham 3 by car. There is a pub about 20 minutes walk away in Bodham and the next nearest is probably Weybourne a couple of miles away. You can catch a bus at Bodham to Cromer/Holt.

It gets extremely busy in August with lots of children enjoying the freedom of this large campsite so don’t expect a quiet and peaceful site, although it was not noisy late at night apart from the odd woof of a dog. Camp fires are also allowed on 2 of the fields (not the hook up field) and on a warm evening when there is no wind to blow it away the pong can be unpleasant (unless its your fire I guess). It is not a site where each pitch is numbered and marked out it’s a case of go find your own and this does not appeal to some; also people seem to be allowed unrestricted awnings/ extensions/ gazebos etc and as a result it can become a little tight with only a small space between individual pitches. It is an ideal site for families with children as there are so many they won’t be short of new friends to play with, but probably not ideal if you are trying to get away from it all.

This is probably the largest site we have ever stayed on. It is divided into three large fields with the toilet/shower/washing up block central to all.

We chose the 'Campfires allowed but quiet at 9pm' field. The other were Campfires allowed but quiet at 10pm and no fires but with EHU.

The site was quiet when we arrived, we had lots of space around the tent and could choose where to pitch. The ground is very hard and the pegs took some hard hammering to get in.

All was bliss until Friday night, we arrived back at our tent to find several pup tents not six feet from our bedroom pod. It was a large group who let their teenage children sleep in the pup tents, well away from their units and, come night time, we found out why!

The site facilities are adequate but basic. The showers had nowhere to keep your clothing dry and the water varied from luke warm to scalding hot with no way of controlling the temperature. To our knowledge, the toilets were cleaned once in the week we stayed. I happened to be in the toilet block at the same time as the cleaners. Each loo was given a quick wipe down, the bin emptied and loo rolls replenished. At no time were the floors washed. Washing up facilities were at the same block as was the CDP.

Would we stay here again? Yes, it is close to the pebble beach and an adequate village shop. Sheringham, with a Tescos, is ten minutes drive away. We enjoyed the site but next time will make sure we avoid the weekends when the site fills up.

We have been going to this site at least yearly for a number of years now, although it is not fancy and the facilities are basic, you have all that you need, although a better freezer would help, I like this site and accept that it gets busy but I don't find it overly noisy, usually by ten most have settled down. My main irritation is those that insist on driving to and from the toilet block especially when its raining(We are not made of sugar !) as a consequence the ground gets churned up. If you don't like folks pitching too close to you then you do need to mark out your area as some will set up very close to you and you can feel invaded.

We stayed on the EHU field with a friend in a neighbouring tent. Check-in was easy, and the best use of the showers explained.

The showers work via token (purchased at reception/summer house), they work on volume of water, not time, so turn off the yellow handle when shampooing to save water. My daughter managed to shower with one token (she has very long hair). She said the water never got particularly warm, whereas the water in my husbands shower did - but having very short hair he didn't turn the water off to shampoo, I suspect this is the main difference.

The shower/toilet block itself appears to be a converted farm building, painted breeze block walls. It wouldn't be considered 'luxury', however it serves a purpose and I never had to queue at any time, although I suspect if you'd wanted a shower just after the field of DofE students arrived back, you would have done!

The pitch was spacious, we were just told to pick where we wanted to pitch, plenty of room for our tent and car. The EHU field was fairly emtpy. The field behind was a bit busier, there did appear to be a bit of a gathering of bikes/quads down at the other end, we didn't hear them though apart from when they used their vehicles to use the toilet/showers rather than walking (we were pitched next to the road).

We walked into Bodham to use the local pub for dinner on the Friday night (Red Hart) - the food was OK. The kids had pizzas and they were large and well covered in cheese, and you can take your leftover pizza home with you. It takes around 20 minutes to walk, worth taking a torch for the trip back if it's going to be dark.

There were a couple of times that people had their dogs off their leads, which was a little annoying, our daughter is scared of dogs, this was of course at a time when no-one was doing 'their rounds'.

What was a really nice touch was that as they weren't full, there was no specific time to leave on the Sunday morning, with nothing extra charged for a late departure. This allowed us to time our departure perfectly to dry the tent off and get it packed away before the rain returned.

All in all, we had a good time and if we were to stay in the area again, we would most certainly consider staying here again.

I have mixed feelings about this site. On arrival no particular instructions were given with respect where to pitch, where the toilet block and waste disposal were so it was very much find out for yourself. It's a large site which is divided in pitches with hook up and without, tents and tourer's where open campfires were permitted and the same again where fires were not allowed. In the main although the site was monitored by staff, you were pretty well allowed to get on with it. As with any site where open fires are allowed, drifting smoke made you feel a bit kippered. The site became very busy during Friday pm until Sunday midday when there was a huge influx of weekend tenters.

There were a lot of unsupervised children in the toilet blocks who seemed to have great fun emptying the toilet roll holders over the floor and into the toilets and at least 3 toilets (male) had no paper for at least 36 hours with no attempt by the site management to replenish them. Toilet block maintenance was minimal whilst we were there.

The grass pitches were well manicured with no ingress of cut grass into the awning or caravan.

Another concern were that a number vehicles going in and out of the site at speeds well in excess (as high as 20 mph I estimate) of the 5mph max speed signs and on a number of occasions the same culprits clearly didn't care about safety issues given the number of children who were on the site.

There was loud thumping music being played though not in the area we were pitched in but some may have found it rather annoying and unnecessary.

It's a shame really that with just a bit more attention to detail this could be a really top rate site and was let down fundamentally by a few people's inconsiderate behaviour and lack of attention in the toilet block areas.
