Friendly, well organised campsite. We spent a week here over the bank holiday weekend and loved it.
It's a big site and we managed to choose a quiet spot where the only noise was from cows mooing in the neighbouring field (it is a working farm as well as a campsite) and that was just fine. Lots of flexibility about how and where to pitch your tent.
One big loo block that they take a fair bit of trouble to keep as clean as possible. (They put out a bunch of mops and buckets near the showers in the hope that people will mop after themselves, but it's a bit of a losing battle. The buckets full of icky water are more of a hazard than a help. They would probably be better off just asking campers to leave their shoes outside the shower in the first place). Lots of loos meant that my kids were never caught short when they left it a bit late!
We chose the campsite because they do campfires. Turns out you can't have campfires in the field with electric hookups. So we were allowed to use the field behind our tent instead. That worked out just fine.
Breakfast van was a lifesaver on at least 2 occasions when we had no food. Delicious food too.
Loads to do in that part of the country. We reckon we could come back at least twice more without having to go to any of the attractions more than once (though we will, because they are so good!)
Would be very happy to return! Felt we got pretty good value for money and we all had a lovely time. Thanks Breck Farm!

Well, what can I say! This campsite was a complete pleasure to stay at. The views were breath taking, especially at sunset and a lot of free range hens knocking about. Local produce and free range hens available for the shop.
Facilities were basic, but a few reviews on here are saying the toilets were blocked or showers a disgrace. To this I say maybe its not the sites fault, but the cretins that leave them in this state. True enough some shower cubicles were muddy at times, but mops and buckets were provided to clean up after that person who left it in that state before you!
Electric pitches were generous, not sure about the non-electric. But it seemed ok! Local pub at the end of the road (The Ship) seemed nice but they didn't serve food all day, we always seemed to miss it. The beach was pebbled and not very nice but other beaches are available for a short drive.
All in all a top campsite for the price you pay which ever way you look at it!

Just got back from a thoroughly enjoyable 10 days at Breck Farm. The site is basic and at times seemingly disorganised, and for me that adds to its charm.
Surrounded by farm land and forests, the site and area is nice and dark at night, illuminated by the lights of the USAF, who like the area for night flights. The setting is reached by a relatively narrow road from either the Cromer Road or the Coast Road, so you'll have to watch out for those drivers who don't know how to drive courteously.
The site takes all forms of accommodation, on three fields, one field with an early quiet time, one with a later quiet time and another with electric hook-up for tents and caravans. I like the idea of a quiet field, though it would have been nice if it was enforced a little tighter.
The roadways around the site were poor and you have to navigate around carefully.
You can pitch anywhere, though you are asked to keep at least a 3m radius from other tents, however, that wasn't always enforced.
Campfires are allowed in wheel rims provided, with the site selling wood, fire lighters and marshmallows.
There is a very large toilet and shower block, though I do wonder how some people don't seem to know how to flush a toilet after themselves!
The weekend in the middle of our stay was very busy, with lots of 'weekenders' though the atmosphere was still pleasant.
The site charges a flat rate of £8 per tent and then £2 per person, though a second tent for family members was charged at £1. 50 per night, meaning that you get excellent value for money.
If you have teenagers, you might want to be aware that the site has very poor mobile/3G coverage, but that seemed to be common thoughout North Norfolk.
There are are plenty of attractions in the area, crabbing at Blakeney, Seal watching from Moreston. But our favourite was the coffee man at Salthouse Beach, fresh capucinno from the back of a van!
Overall, a brilliant site, and we would certainly return.

This was our first visit to Breck Farm, and arriving mid week we were made to feel very welcome. The site is basic and functional however hot water seems to be in short supply even at quiet periods which was a nuisance, and the lack of temperature controls on the showers was a bit of an issue with the youngsters.
The bins were overflowing with litter blowing across the site, upon speaking to the management this was quickly dealt with by sending litter pickers out to remove lose rubbish, and the bins were emptied next day. Campers seemed very tightly packed in on the wood field on the Friday evening which made us glad we'd chosen the Meadow field instead!
On a positive note, the location is only a short distance from Cromer, Sherringham and Holt, and is right next to the woods at Bodham We would still have no hesitation in returning in the future.

What a difference a weekend can make!
This was our fourth visit to Breck Farm, one of our favourite campsites, however I really feel that they crammed too many campers in this last weekend. Tents were pitched so close together that campers who had gone out for the day were having a job to get their cars back to their tents. The only hot water available was in the showers by purchasing a token, there was no hot water in the toilets or the sinks for washing up. Hubby went over to the toilets this morning and had a job to find one that wasn't blocked!
Very disappointed, we have previously loved this campsite and I think that had they said no to a few people it would have made it far more comfortable for everyone there. I appreciate that they have to make their money while they can but basic facilities should still be available.
I don't think we will be going back, well especially not at busy times, its a shame.

Arrived on a Thursday evening and found a decent space in the Meadow Field without too much trouble. Had we arrived 24 hours later then it might have been a different story as the site filled up considerably with 'weekend campers'. Nice and peaceful again by Sunday evening.
I suspect one of the big draws for the occasional campers is the fact that you can have open fires (in metal fire drums) right outside your tent. The farmhouse sells wood and indeed marshmallows which were delicious cooked over the open flames.
As previous reviewers have said the site is right next to Bodham Wood so ideal if you have dogs. Would be nice if all owners could be responsible for their mess though!
Holt is a short drive away and has a Budgens, Spar and various other shops and is a pleasant little town. There is a pub in walking distance (about 20 - 25 mins)in Bodham, which allows dogs inside.
My main gripe with the site is the showers. Unfortunately these were always dirty and although a mop and bucket was left to clean up a little after your shower, this too was so dirty which made the act of mopping seem a waste of time. Also the showers are operated by a token at a cost of 50p. I did not object to paying for this as the site fees were really reasonable for peak season but it was stated that you got 3½ minutes per token. I decided to time this as I felt a little shortchanged in terms of time on my first shower. Turns out I was! I subsequently timed the next 4 which varied between 2 mins 20 and 2 mins 55. Good job I wash quick! The token system did have it's advantages though in that I never had to queue for a shower, and even if you do, you know you won't have to wait long for one to become free.
The toilets were plentiful and despite the site being full I never queued for these either.
I would return, as the location is good, and the open fires great to extend the evening's outside relaxation time.

Stayed here in July. I was impressed. Loads of room on the pitch and level site.
Nice views just rolling hills. Camp fires were allowed on certain parts on the site.
There is a large field with goal posts so you could play football.
The free range eggs were delicious. Lots of toilets and the showers were good although the water was a little cool for my liking.
All in all I really liked this site and will return and some point in the future.

Arrived on Tuesday and stayed for six nights, originally booked for three, but were able to add extra ones as the sun kept shining. Able to pitch where we wanted in field behind shower block.
12 year old son, and parents, enjoyed having a campfire each night, which was the main reason for choosing this site, along with the price.
Quiet location and easy access into Cromer. So many lovely places along the coast; Blakeney, Salthouse beach, Sheringham via the steam train (enjoyed the parade of 400 Harley Davison motorbikes), Wells next the Sea.
Plenty of walking in the woods and a field for children to play in.
Happy with facilities, plenty of showers, sinks & toilets. Also plenty of plug points for hair driers etc, very useful for recharging mobile phone as well. No problems with cleanliness despite the site being very busy at the weekend.
Only had to wait a few minutes for washing-up sinks (some inside & some outside), although at busy times the water wasn't hot.
Site was busy at the weekend so obviously noisier, but still not disturbed by late noise.
Staff were friendly, helpful and make lovely toffee! Will be back next summer.

Friendly, busy but relaxed no frills site. Large shower & toilet block with a good sized disabled/baby change shower & toilet. Electric points for hairdryers & 2 freezers to take your own ice blocks. Really laid back atmosphere with fire pits, plenty of space to pitch and for children to play. The pigs & chickens were a hit with my 2 toddlers too!
I was a bit dubious about the token shower system from experiences on other sites but found 1 token was plenty for me and it certainly helped with the turnaround of people during busy times.
Recommend taking a large plastic container/tub to bath young children in the shower so that you only have to use 1 token and also because the showers were lovely and hot but a bit too hot for little ones perhaps.
Loved the fact that we were able to just call up on a Friday in July and book for that weekend without any problem as there are no set pitches unless you have electric hook up so there was no problem fitting us in.

Just arrived back from a few days stay at Breck Farm. For those who want all the modern conveniences offered by some of the more larger sites then steer clear, this is a working farm which offers 3-4 field areas for camping including hook ups for those who want the TV!
the shower blocks were clean and adequate, incorporating washing up area and even a laundry facility, the token system for the showers works well along with the freezer option.
We took advantage of the local produce, free range fresh eggs and jams. We stayed at the bottom field away form the toilet blocks and found everything we expected, quiet after 10pm even with some larger groups nearby.
If you want camping with no frills enjoy the warm welcome and warm fires in the evening. Be aware the local pubs are on old time, two opening times 12-3/6-11 both within easy walking distances and The Red Hart has a lovely pint of Adnams Broadside.
