Fab location for a camp-site, love the fires, disliked: the weather, ok that's not the camp-sites fault, loved the pigs and chickens, but a kids play area was a miss for our daughter. Do not liked the timed showers, and if I had realised I would not have booked. There were however lots of showers and toilets. We went on the 'Quiet' site, quiet after 9. 00pm

Back yesterday from our first of what will be MANY visits to Breck Farm!
This was recommended to us by friends, and we loved it!
Love the fact that campfires are allowed, love the fact that it's very family orientated, love the fact that dogs are allowed! Loving the back to basics camping!
Showers were lovely and hot, yes there were queues early mornings, but if you're not in a rush to get out anywhere, then about 10. 30 onwards is good if you want to miss the crowds!
We stayed in the wood field which has a curfew of 10pm which IS adhered to. We did get told off rather rudely by one of the wardens for having our music (at a very low level from a phone) on, we just felt he could've been a bit nicer about it, but to be fair that was our only complaint :)
It's a great campsite, saw old friends, met some lovely new people, and it has a great atmosphere about it, can't ask any more than that

Just got back from this site - would not return again, showers are in an old cowshed, a few painted breeze blocks doesn't make it right - not nice - the driveway onto the site is terrible you need uprated suspension or a 4x4 to negotiate it - I myself would never use a ' farm campsite ' again - at your peril

The site was good in that it allowed us three dogs. That is where the positives sadly ended. I appreciate that the site is part of a working farm but showers in a cow shed? I managed to shower for a few days as we do like to use the facilities even though our caravan has a shower but the clogged up drain in the shower with back up of hair etc was really not pleasant, I do not feel these showers had been deep cleaned in a long time and considering the size of this site was unacceptable. We saw a cleaner on Monday then not again until the Sunday. The grass was not cut either and was a bit of a nightmare with a small dog and had to buy three quarter length trousers not to get wet trousers in the morning! The showers were cold and would shut off before you get rinsed off. There were lots of massive commercial bins on wheels that had not been emptied in a while with all manner of items dumped beside them. Not a pleasant experience we would not return to this site not clean enough. We have a van so can call on the facilities it has to offer but I did feel for the people in tents as they had no choice but to brave the cow shed. I am not a fussy person and take camping and caravanning for what it is but I felt this site may put first time campers off if they feel this is what is on offer which would be such a shame. Oh and be mindful of the approach track from the road massive ruts and dips and was really concerned we would damage the car and if we did not gauge the track exactly right and the van wheels went in them would be a disaster. Really only suitable for a tractor. Sorry Breck Farm but we will not return.

We have just arrived home after a 3 night stay on Breck Farm. The setting is fantastic we stayed in there quiet area 'The Meadow' which was great because the site was quiet we were able to have access to electric to keep our 16 month old warm but also the added benefit of being able to have camp fires. Something we thought would be great but never got round to lighting one. The facilities on site are basic but very clean, the showers use tokens that you buy from the shop. They last 3 1/2 minutes each which on the face of it would be plenty, however the water takes a good minute or more to heat up so beware take a couple with you. There were no baby facilities so showering her and you in the same cubicle at the same time proved a challenge but not impossible.
The Owner and the Wardens could not have been more helpful, going the extra mile offering to lend us their high chair and an extension lead so we could put the tent in the spot we wanted.
The only small criticism was the shop on site didn't sell milk or bread which meant a trek each morning into the local village
Overall we had a brilliant 4 days and would recommend the site as a great non commercial get away.

This is a lovely site, had I only spent 1 night here, I would even had said a perfect site! The location is great, plenty of space to pitch, good facilities and camp fires allowed. However, one of our prime factors for choosing the site was that their website said that they no longer allowed young groups (No fun being kept awake all night when you have a 4 year old!). We additionally chose their Meadow Field (quiet at 9pm). First night wonderful. However, second evening we came back to the site to discover we had been engulfed by about 20 tents full of youngsters doing their Duke of Edinburgh. Whilst they weren't the worse behaved young people in the world, the sheer volume of this number of excited youngsters was enough, especially when they all got up at 6. 30am to take down tents and cook their own breakfasts (talking loudly) to be off for a 7. 30am start. They had supervisors but they made no attempts to ask them to talk quietly as it was early.
I don't blame the youngsters but feel the site should not say it doesn't allow young groups when it clearly does. It also allowed them to pitch very close to our tent (despite handing out a written leaflet to all arrivals saying allow 3 metres between tents). It would be nice if they are going to take large group bookings to reserve an area of their 2 large fields, a considerate distance away from other campers having a quiet family stay (which is how they promote themselves on their website).

Had another week here, lovely and quiet. Really helpful and friendly family run site. Would recommend this place to all who want a site where it don't matter what size tent you have or if you put up a kitchen tent or shelter. We started our stay the last weekend in May and after the family's had packed up on the Sunday we had one whole field to ourselves.
Only thing I don't get is why do people leave hot taps running in toilets, there were no kids there so it must have been a so called adult. Some people are really dumb.
We are going back in August, even when this place is packed to the gills you still have loads of room and the kids love it. They have loads of places to explore
Thank again Brecks

Visited for 3 night stay, were very unlucky with the weather really however had great time. Site is level and there was plenty of space to pitch and for the kids to run around, great wooded area with paths and tree swings for children to play. Shower block spacious with plenty loos and showers, shower could be a tad warmer and higher pressure - no way of adjusting temp and tokens delivered measured amount water, managed to shower adult and child on one token. Visited Sheringham which is great town and will certainly want to return in better weather!

We stayed here in our pretty long motorhome over the Easter bank holiday and glad we did. Visiting friends in the Holt area it gave great access to that and other local places of interest, you could even hear the steam engine passing by although not quite see it.
My faith has somewhat been restored in camping by Breck Farm, not overly bound by rules, nicely basic and good value for the fee. There was a great mixture of young families, young groups and dare I say it middle aged (sadly now me) it was heartening to see kids well just being kids, running around, kicking balls, exploring the woods, seeing real farm animals and lighting fires. The different fields allowed you to chose your own level of involvement so the only noise that woke me was the morning bird song. Definite be using it again.

This was a lovely site, a stargazer's dream at night. With nice walks around the woodland area, also very well situated for travelling to the lovely nearby town of Sheringham, Cromer and places of interest, especially the Shire Horse and Animal Sanctuary. It was very quiet when we arrived, but at the weekend, busy, with some people not adhering to the 10pm noise limit and music that was blaring was turned down as soon as the warden patrolled in the Landrover and then turned up again when it went out of sight. More adherence to this rule is needed (walk round). Great that you could have a campfire although only in the non-electric fields but it was a shame about the state of the fields due to the charred ground. The toilet block was reasonably clean but basic and the shower cubicles had no curtains which was a bit of a nuisance as clothes tended to get splashed. 50p was needed for the shower which just about lasted for around 4 minutes, & you had to wait for at least 1 minute before you got the hot water coming through especially first thing in the morning! In saying that the shower was great and powerful. There was a burger/breakfast van which was good to have if you did'nt want to cook. No play area, ie swings etc. , for kids, but plenty of freedom to roam around & for using their imagination. Would we come back, probably as the owners were very friendly and helpful, and if I knew that the facilities were updated.
