This was our first visit to Rockbridge but it certainly won't be our last! We have visited many great sites over the years but this is by far the quietest and most well looked after site we have had the good fortune of staying at. The caretakers Steve and Lynda were the perfect hosts and very friendly and welcoming. The site was spotless and well looked after and the pitches are huge!
Presteigne is a quaint little town, with some good eateries - The Farmers Inn was superb, along with a Spar shop and a few 'interesting' shop, don't expect a shopping extravaganza, but it is well situated for visiting the surrounding area which is beautiful.
If you are thinking of staying here, don't wait too long because this site will become very popular. It has to, it's fab !

We have stayed many times at Arrow Bank, part of the same group as Rockbridge Park, so thought we would try somewhere different!
This site has the most beautiful situation in stunning countryside on the Welsh Borders. It was not massively busy while we were there and we had a serviced pitch next to the river which babbled away very pleasantly in the background. The facilities block was spotless and very well appointed. We like the individual bathrooms and plenty of hot water!
The majority of the site is residential units which were very tempting! It is about a mile to Presteigne so I think you would need transport to get supplies/ eat out as there is nothing on site in that line. We didn't visit Presteigne as we were only staying one night so not sure how easy it would be to park a motorhome there.
The warden is extremely pleasant and easy to contact. I see that there is a large development starting to take place to build holiday lodges in the next field. There was no noise from this that we noticed but not sure if it might be different in another area of the site. The same thing is happening at Arrow Bank so I assume this is a Best Parks undertaking. I sincerely hope it doesn't impact on the blissfully peaceful touring area.
After leaving we drove to Rhadayer through gorgeous countryside. This really is a stunning area and one we haven't visited before.
All in all, this site was perfect for us. We couldn't get a tv signal but it doesn't hurt to have a break from the box! Next time we will bring DVDs ! Mobiles worked ok.
To be honest, I didn't want to leave, especially as the sun was shining. We will definitely be back.

Very well maintained site with one of the best toilet and shower blocks that I have ever encountered, everything down to toothpaste is provided if you need it. The warden is particularly friendly and welcoming. The site is less than a mile out of town along a quiet country lane without verges so not ideal for walking, but there is a pleasant footpath alternative on the hillside opposite. The site is well positioned in a quiet location with a river running through and is dog friendly with a large adjoining field available for walks. One of the best sites that I have used.

This was our fourth visit to Rockbridge Park. A fantastic location and the updated facilities are superb. A really lovely location beside the River Arrow with an easy walk into Presteigne which is a very attractive and interesting small welsh border town. There is also some good challenging cycling from the site. Very welcoming warden who keeps the site immaculate. A real gem of a site. Don't tell too many people about it!

We were given a 'Best Parks' leaflet at a caravan show and decided to try Rockbridge Park as it was handy for a bellringing trip. Online booking was easy as was finding the site (some of the approach roads are quite narrow though). Well, what a find! Beautifully laid-out we were directed to a hard-standing which also had water and drainage. We were greeted by the warden whose warm smile and cheery conversation was immediately welcoming. This is a fantastic site for a peaceful get-away. At night the lack of light pollution meant the sky was a stargazer's dream. Presteigne is a short drive away (we were too lazy to walk!) and the warden provides a really useful info sheet detailing local shops, restaurants and hostelries. Don't expect any out-of-town size supermarkets nearby, however, for these you'll have to travel to Ludlow. Ludlow is a must for a visit anyway, there's lots to see there! We also visited Stokesay Castle which was not too far away. Beautifully finished and impeccably clean the newly-built toilet block has to be one of the best we've been in. All-in-all if you're looking for a quiet getaway then you could not do better than Rockbridge Park.

Fantastic, well maintained site. Toilet and showers as good as a five star hotel! Warden and wife exceptionally helpful. Friendly static owners. Only disappointment was lack of fish in the river!
Many thanks Steve. Will definitely be returning.

To save detail I agree with the last review but would state that the toilet/shower facilities are the best I have yet come across. The site is well kept and the warden especially helpful and friendly. The road in April was not busy and negotiable if walked in single file and with torch at night.

The camping section of this beautiful site is alongside the ‘River’ (here more of a stream) Lugg, below terraced well-presented park homes. All pitches are very generously sized and non-hard-standing pitches are on firm short-mown grass.
The general facilities are very good, with excellent individual shower rooms. Just in case you have forgotten any ‘product’ (everything from shampoo, deodorant and hairspray to Sterodent), these are available for your use during your visit - a service we’ve not come across elsewhere. We hope that campers respect this and don’t abuse the site-owners’ generosity. Only shortcoming was that there is no motorhome service point, so grey water is a bucket job.
We were pitched right next to the river, and the only sound most of the time was from the burbling water and occasional jumping fish. Very relaxing and peaceful. Quiet sheep were moved into the field on the other side of the river and one day some cattle nearby were a little boisterous. Don't recollect any play area for children and the ease of access to the river makes us feel it is less suitable for them.
Rockbridge is a mile or so outside Presteigne and the road into the village isn’t pedestrian-friendly. We tried the footpath detour over the fields but this is not maintained or respected by the farmers - what isn’t being taken over by nettles and brambles has been planted with sugar-beet. Once in Presteigne you find an interesting village with some historic buildings and a good mix of shops and eateries you don’t expect in the middle of the country.
Although dogs are accepted there is no off-lead exercise area without either sheep for them to chase or cow dung for them to roll in.
We would definitely recommend this site and thank Steve, the warden, for his friendly hospitality.

Rockbridge park is a nice camp-site on the border of England and Wales.
The warden and his wife were very friendly and helpful.
Toilets and showers very good and clean.
Site very tidy.
Fishing on site limited due to river being very small as the upper reaches.
Walking to the pub is a not safe due to the 1 mile walk along a dangerous road with no footpaths. Apparently there are footpaths but they are overgrown with nettles.
Overall marks down because I like my fishing and walking to the pub which were both limited.

We stayed at this site for 3 nights and had a great time. The camping is alongside the river (Lugg I think) and was on short mown flat lawn. Although it was a warm sunny weekend in summer the site was not overly busy and we were easily able to find a spot. The warden (Steve I think) saw us on arrival and provided plenty of helpful information. The facilities appeared to have been recently renovated and were of an exceptionally high standard including two fridges, books to read, large well equipped tiolet and shower block including some separate privacy shower rooms. There is no shop on site but Presteigne is nearby and has grocery stores. The site is ideally located for walking Offa's Dyke and is also close to some charming local market towns with good pubs/eateries. We very much hope to return in the not too distant future.
