Lovely clean campsite, loved the fact that all the tents where around the edge so plenty of room for children to play in the large area. Lovely clean toilets and plenty of hot water for the shower in the morning.
Nice pubs right near by though the three tuns is on the expensive side perhaps should have gone to the crown. Plenty of lots of walks around. Wish the weather had been warmer though good old english weather for you!
We went with another family and we were coming from nottingham and our friends from surrey. They got there first and luckily put us next to each other which is brill for cooking together etc. So brill campsite, would love to come back again soon

We have just come back from this site after a lovely weekend in the New Forest, despite the inclement weather!
The site itself is on the edge of the New Forest, and is very peaceful and secluded with fields and woodland all around. It is a small site, mostly caravans on the main EHU field, with tents mixed in and a separate Tent Field with no EHU. Pitch sizes are very generous.
The owners are to be commended for not allowing another row of caravans/tents in the middle of the site, and instead allowing the large green open spaces to remain.
You have 2 pubs nearby (Three Tuns and the Crown) which are reasonably priced, erring on gastropub offerings. In Bransgre there are a few shops where you could get the bits you needed, like a co-op and excellent Butcher.
Facilities and price are the only (small) downsides; it seems a bit harsh to charge the same for a tent as for a caravan, and a few more EHU would be welcome.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the facilities are good, and clean- but 6 showers total is simply not enough for this sized site. It would be good to extend the small toilet block to include some more showers near the tent field to alleviate the pressure. The site was full, and I had to wait every time I went for a shower.
Overall, an excellent campsite which we fully intent to return to. Well done to the staff and owners.

We only spent one night at this site, but enjoyed it so much I thought I would write a review. It is a small site, mostly caravans on the main EHU field, with tents mixed in.
The non EHU tent area is a large flat paddock off to one side, and at the back of the site. Most of the pitches are a good size, situated around the edge of the tent field with plenty of space in the middle for children to play.
There is no shelter so it can be windy. There is one water tap at the entrance to tent field, but there are others at the ammenity blocks.
There are 3 toilet blocks, 2 small ones at each end of the site (2 toilets 2 basins) and a larger one in the centre of the site with showers. The showers are big, well planned with hooks and a stool, free, hot and powerful.
However there are only 3 showers for the ladies, and 3 for the men. This simply is not enough for the size of the site. When we were there it was only about a third full, and I still had to wait, admitedly it was in the morning, but I would imagine when the site is full you have to queue quite often.
The site is near the New Forest, not in it. There are no ponies wandering around.
There are 2 pubs within walking distance, The Three Tuns - 10 mins and The Crown - 15 mins. We had a lovely meal at the Crown. Very reasonably priced with lots of main courses for under £10, and all very delicious.
It is a quiet, calm, well kept site, with friendly staff and clean facilities. The views from the site are lovely. Its easy to get to and close to Chrischurch, Bournemouth and the New Forest.
I would love to go again but would think twice about going in mid summer as I really think there are not enough showers to cope if the site was full. Any other time this is a superb site I would not hesitate to recommend.

We have just come back from this site, What a lovely site, I wish we had booked longer, We cant wait until next year.
We have been to quite a few sites now and this is far by the best, the toilets and showers are really clean as is the site.
The site is in a lovely part of the world and is really quiet and secluded.
Pitch fees are good, electricity is expensive at £4.

We stayed here for one night in August to visit the New Forest and also the Bournemouth Airshow. We booked quite late and they only had one pitch left.
The site is quite large but very well presented. The tent site is separated from the caravans in a small flat field. We had a corner pitch with two small tents and a 4x4 vehicle which was charged to us as one pitch.
The toilets and showers are spotless and the showers had plenty of pressure and hot water. The staff are very helpful and pleasant.
The pitches are situated at the edge of the field and although there would be plenty of room for a row of tents in the centre, the owners have opted not to and this gives an air of openness and space. BBQ's are permitted so long as they are off the ground.
Unfortunately the diabolical weather (as reported in the news!) didn't make our stay as enjoyable as it could but the ground stayed fairly well drained.
We would definitely use the site again.

First time at this site and was very happy with it, we pitched in our Tent and the size of the pitches were fantastic it was very quiet when we went and had no problems with noise atall
The shower and toilet block were very clean and tidy, had plenty of hot water. I do feel though that with only 3 showers for the whole site when the children are off it could get a little busy and I would have liked another shower block a bit closer to the tent field otheriwse a bit of a trek.
It didn't seem that there was always someone in Reception when there should have been but you could always knock on their door if you needed help or advice.
You had 2 lovely pubs near and a few shops where you could get the bits you needed, was good walk when not raining.
We also used a cab service called A Cabs down there and they were fab, very friendly, reliable and fairly well priced.
We would definitely visit this campsite again in the near future.

We've just returned from a 2 night stay at Harrow Wood.
The site is very spacious and in a wonderful location. The owners care very much about their site, and it shows in so many ways. The look of the site, the cleanliness of the facilities, the friendliness of everyone around.
We had pitch 61A which is a tent pitch with electric hook-up, close to the shower and laundry blocks. The majority of pitches here were for caravans, but the two tent pitches adjoining the laundry block have a sensational position, facing onto a large, flat grassed area, which benefited from the sun for the whole day.
We used the Wi-Fi that was available (extra cost)
There is also a tent field towards the rear of the site that doesn't feature electric hook-ups.
We had a great evening meal at The Crown in Bransgore which was no more than a 10 minute walk (remember to visit the Vintage Inns website to get your voucher for a free glass of wine with every main meal). The Three Tuns is closer to the Harrow Wood site. It is a little pricier and not as welcoming we thought. There is also the Carpenters Arms on the other side of the village as a third option.
The only thing stopping me give an overall 10 of out 10 is the lack of an on-site shop. Apart from that, it is perfect!
We enjoyed our stay so much, we'll definitely be going back.

Very nice level site for caravans with massive of open space for games.
Showers, loos all clean and well presented.
Space around each pitch was amazing.
Only visited the reception on one occasion to pay our balance and ask a question about local buses, however just told to look at the bus timetables they had. (felt that we were in the way a bit, but maybe not a good time first thing in morning!)
Bus routes out of Bransgore very limited.
If you want to get anywhere other than Brangsore itself you will always need the car.
Would recommend the open top bus tour of the New Forest, great day out.
Would not recommend, as we did, walking into Burley (about 5 miles) and, as it had rained quite steadily, all day, deciding to get a taxi back. Took us 4 attempts to get one. As soon as we got in, the driver was rude about caravanners and cyclists 'being a nuisance' !

We have just returned from 5 nights at this campsite.
The site is very well maintained and the toilets/showers are the cleanest we've seen. There always seems to be hot water available. The pitches are a good size and are mainly concrete/gravel with plenty of room on the grass for our awning. Most pitches have electric hookups.
There is plenty of space for the kids to play but the site never seemed excessively noisy.
It is only a few minutes in the camper to get in to the New Forest itself or to get to the beaches at Highcliffe.
Whilst the site does not have a shop, Bransgore & Highcliffe both have sufficient shops to pick up anything you need.
A lovely site - we shall definitely visit again!

We visited this site in our touring van with our friends in a motor home. The hard standing looks level but it isn't. Our friends had to borrow our 6 inch high Milencos to level their motorhome as theirs weren't high enough. We had no trouble with our caravan.
The site was well kept. The toilets and showers were excellent. Had good reception on our TV with the standard digital ariel on the top of the van but 2 caravans down couldn't get anything.
Very peaceful site. Situation great for travelling around - we visited from Salisbury to the Isle of Wight during our week's stay and had a lovely time. Would recommend it.
