Great site as a base for London. 30 mins from Wembley or 40 odd from marleybone. Friendly welcome on arrival with a 10:00am earliest arrival so can still get in half day in London if energetic. Walk to station is a bit long for kids but the pubs help on the way back.
Parking only £3. 50 for the day at station so we drove down on second day.
Site itself has a a lot of permanent/seasonal tourers but the top end of the site is where they seem to put the visitors. Big space with football nets. Kids play area with sand pit.
No issues with noise at night or kids even though we were right next to the field.
Toilet roll issue seems to have been resolved if you use the main block. All facilities clean at all times we visited. 20p is plenty for a shower!
Overall we will return next time we want a weekend in London.

We have visited Highclere on many occasions and always find it to be clean neat and tidy with very nice staff.
We had planned to return for my partners birthday weekend but changed our mind due to the £33 per night price tag !
A great site but we felt the price is far too much.
We also got the impression that many of the caravans round us were being used by workman due to the fact they were not in great condition and empty all weekend.

This site has excellent, warm toilet/shower facilities and a well drained flat field for tents. However take some toilet roll with you as the toilets were not replenished the whole weekend we were there.
There were plenty of washing up areas but we only found one with hot water. Our children loved the play area and the extension to the play area will be great too when finished. The local village is easy to walk to with a great chippy and supermarket. A map of the local amenities and footpaths at the start would have been useful. Shame they didn't enforce the dogs on lead policy.

We have stayed at HighClere farm a few times as it's near to my sister-in-law who lives in Uxbrige.
It's a very safe site for children to play.
Price is good as well.
The showers and toilets are nice and clean.
The only down side is, the people who answer the phone never sound happy and wanting to be of any help to you :-(
Maybe more signs to help find the campsite after you leave the motorway would be helpful

Held a rally here, this was our first visit to this site. It is a hidden gem. Lovely location, I have to say we did not venture off the site, so couldn't tell you what is nearby.
The shop stocks enough essentials if you run out. Their own eggs were lovely.
The facilities were spotlessly clean, plenty of them, however, there is a charge for the shower, this is the first time I have come across this, you have a choice of a 20p shower or 50p shower. We used the 20p shower and this was adequate and good.
The pitches are of a very good size. Plenty of room for children to play.
Overall a lovely and peaceful site and will definitely return again next year.

I was delighted to find this site had an extended season that allowed me to stay there over a weekend in late January when I was due to attend a wedding.
My timing was unfortunate since the owner had a family issue at the time so I was put into 'the meadow' which seemed to be pitches for motorhomes as there was no space for a car beside a caravan.
The site was a peaceful site in a beautiful area. The ablutions block was lovely and warm. The shower was a paid shower but at only 20-40 pence this was not an issue. I wish that I chosen a shower with a smaller shower head as the pressure on that particular day was not at all good and the temperature went from cold to hot and back again. I think this may have been a temporary issue was one of the loo cisterns also didn't seem to fill that day either and another camper, who had been there for a longer, said they were normally very good.
The washing up facilities were outside.
The chemical loo disposal was a drain with a hose from a tap to flush things down and so did smell more than those that are the flushable loo types.
I didn't actually find the grey waste point so I used the chemical loo disposal instead.
There was reasonable TV signal and mobile phone signal and a good EHU.
One word of warning. The road to the site is a very poor road surface and very uneven so care is needed.
The site was on a farm and so fresh eggs from the farm were available in the reception.
A good site where I think a few more days and I would have settled in better.

Overcrowded, over priced & over rated.
10amp electric which means you have to decide which device you have on at any one time, in the middle of November is a bit difficult, especially as the cost is £15 per night + £2. 50 per night electric. You also have to pay 20p per shower (my husband spent 60p just trying to find a shower he could get a tiny trickle of water out of!)We phoned to ask about availability, phone answered by what appeared to be a very sleepy young person who said that 'probably' they had a space, then said 'yea', they would have room. On arrival, I found a teenage boy in the Reception. When I asked about fresh water & how we could dispose of our waste water (Motorhome) I had a vague wave of the hand to indicate water taps 'around' & umm - well behind that green fence is all kinds of water things!

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting family and I have to say it is one of the cleanest sites I have stayed at !
Toilets and showers were always clean and there are washing machines and dryers you can use but not sure if you have to pay as I didn't use them, Also there are a couple of fridge/ freezers you can use free to put your stuff in but obviously at your own risk! There is a park and a football pitch for the kids to use and I have to say that this was a godsend as it keeps them occupied so you can chill out and have a few beers lol!
One point I must make is that the site seems to be used by a lot of workmen, as it is located just out of London and use it as an ideal base! We hardly saw any of them and it wasn't a problem.
I would definitely recommend this site and will be staying again in the future and I mark this site 9/10 I was that impressed!

I used this site for a one night as a base for a trip to Wembley stadium. Large flat field for tents, loads of space and well kept. Clean showers, (20p) - I didn't use the 50p showers in the stable block. Although must say that closing for cleaning at 10am seems an odd time to close the main shower block?
Site owners were welcoming, friendly and provided some useful advice on the local area. Shop seemed to have a small selection of useful bits and pieces, including fresh chicken and duck eggs. There was a play park on the far side of the camping field from us, which seemed well used.
I would def use this site again as a base for travelling into and out of London. £8.50 return on the train from Seer Green & Jordan I think the local station is named - it is closer than Beaconsfield. Although, beware, the train didn't stop at Seer Green on the return trip back from Wembley, taking instead to Beaconsfield.
There were several units that were also using the site as a base to follow their team to Wembley. All were well behaved, although I believe there were some noise issues on the Friday evening.

Spacious, flat site with top of the range facilities. Very handy for rail into London. Playground and space for kids to play. I didn't eat out but lots of places in nearby villages. The shop didn't have much but there is a large co op just down the road and bigger supermarkets not far.
Can't fault the site at all and will use again if I have to be in London early.
There were a few workers but they made no noise as they left and not partying into the night. Can't blame them really as its much cheaper than hotels if they are working away from home.
