We decided to travel just a few miles up the road after a recommendation, and stayed for 1 night as still pretty chilly late in the evening.
We found this to be a great site, lots of space with a large field for the kids to play in. They made lots of friends at the playpark. Ample room for our van, awning and windbreak. Showers and toilets spotless.
We took the dog through beautiful fields and woods and hardly saw a soul. 10 mins walk to local pub and fish and chip shop.
We will definitely return, fantastic value

A very delightful, spotless, immaculate site with a perfectly flat, well drained field with lovely views all round. The toilet and shower block is a credit to the owners, squeaky clean, and the 20p showers seem hotter and longer than the slightly more spacious newer 50p showers. Nice playground for children, and an adequate shop. The Chiltern Line train to London from Chalfont and Latimer 5 minutes away is £9 rtn with all day Travelcard in London. From Seer Green, 4 minutes away it is £15. Easy to park at either station, £1 at Chalfont weekends. The overnight barrier allows cars to pass under, no problem. A little high up aircraft noise, and the warden failed to come and quieten a noisy late party one night but very highly recommended campsite.

We stayed here for 2 nights in August. On arrival the site looked lovely and the young man who showed us what was what was really helpful. The camping field was well kept and very spacious and had a great kids playground, which looked quite new.We could have done without someone trying to cut the grass round our tent.
Although the toilets where spotless there was clearly a drain 'issue' in the mens as the smell was rancid.
There was a couple of large groups there and we had been warned there might be some noise but we heard nothing all night although kids playing in the playground at 5 minutes to 6 in the morning was no fun what so ever.
All in all its a very nice place with great surroundings.

We stayed for 3 nights from 2nd Aug to 5th. We left it late to book on 30th July and when we arrived there were hardly any tents on site.
Size of tent was not a worry, our huge Meridian 10 looked small with size of other peoples pitches with windbreaks and gazebos.
This site is excellent. Playing field with goal posts of varying sizes. Around the this field the tents are pitched with two sides of the square with electric hookup and water pipes.
A small park and long sand for kids to play all within eye distance from the tent.
Toilets/Shower block short walk, with Freezer / Fridge facilities FOC. Showers are 20p or 50p, nice hot water. Toilets very clean. They washing up facilities even have wash bowls and drainers.
Usual washing machine and dryer facilities.
Best site I've been to this year.

We visited Highclere at beginning of May - camping with another family- 4 children under 3. First time camping with the youngest 2. Only couple of other tents on site and weekend was fairly damp and chilly, but campsite helped make the weekend a great success.
Toilet block was spotless, never really saw anyone else in them. 1 of us used 50p showers as 20p ones being cleaned.Otherwise 20p showers were hot and long enough. Washing up facilities- plenty of hot water and under shelter. Water taps and hookups all around edge of field. We pitched near to cut through in fence so 2 just toilet trained kids could get there quick! There was caravan pitched nearish to gap but didn't feel you were going through their site as backed onto the gap.
Playground used by older 2 kids a bit but not really old enough to make most of it. They enjoyed running the length of the field! Grass was being cut as we arrived but there wasn't lots of grass cuttings left on ground - which would have gone everywhere as wet. Ground very flat - and despite all rain never felt particularly damp.
Went for drink in Jolly Cricketers late afternoon- very welcoming to kids- large outdoor games in small beer garden. Very busy inside with people eating. If got kids and want day out- Odds Farm was excellent. Bekonscott model village quite expensive but kids enjoyed.
Overall an excellent weekend of family camping- Planes were noticeable at night but never woke the kids. Would certainly return.

Agree with everyone about this pleasant site - well kept, nice little shop, clean and useful facilities, great play area for children. There were a lot of families with children staying when we did, but the children were all excellently well behaved, which was a pleasure.
Also have to agree about the shallow depth of turf on the tent field - we bent a lot of tent pegs trying to pitch our two tents.
Although the site itself is lovely and not on a busy road, it is not far from main roads which (because the site itself was so peaceful!) were very noticeable. This probably isn't a problem if you are used to noisier places, but the farm is also in the flight path and some of the planes fly over pretty low!

Lovely caravan site, very rural and yet excellent for visiting London. Toilet and shower facilities excellent and kept clean. If you have a dog the walks are fantastic field after field of country side. Seer Green railway station within walking distance of site.

We stayed at this site because of attending a wedding close-by, but would recommend to others, or stay at again to explore the area more.
The site is divided into two areas, the first in hard-standing for caravans, the second is a grassy camping field. The caravan area looked like most of the vans were long term stays. The camping field is amazingly flat, it looks like a lot of work has previously done a lot of work getting it into such good shape and perfect for a game of boules! The field is big with electric hook-up around the edge. However, the turf is pretty shallow so pegs hitting stones was a bit of a problem. Even though it was early in the year there was no mud in site and the ground was in good condition. Also in the far corner of the field is a great looking adventure play area for kids – but we didn’t have any kids to try it out for us!
A couple of (slight!) problems with the camping field was getting out to the toilet blocks, even though they were very close and the 'farm' smell. There is a gap in the fence, but when a caravan pitched in that corner it did make it difficult to get through and everyone had to pretty much trek through their camp, or take a very long detour right across the field and back along full length field. Creating a proper footpath / gateway in that corner close to the toilet block would make it much easier. As for the farm smell, it was sometimes noticeable, but never too bad and to be expected from a working farm!
There were 2 toilet blocks. The first is the ‘old’ block, excellent condition and immaculately clean. If I remember rightly the ladies had 4 showers, 4 loos and 4 sinks (each with partition) plus a row of mirrors and free hairdryer. The showers were 20p for about 5 minutes, nice and hot with curtain and little stool in each cubicle.
Also in this block were free to use big freezer and fridge, disabled facilities, laundry room and information leaflets. Covered washing up bay with 3 sinks outside had hot water and even washing up bowls and drainer racks. There was also a new toilet block in the converted stable. The ladies had 1 loo and 2 showers (50p each) I didn’t use these - the 20p ones were so good I didn’t see point in paying extra - but did look bigger cubicles.
The reception/ shop at the entrance was stocked with basic provisions and loads of fresh eggs!
We didn’t do very much exploration of the area but did walk to Seers Green (right out of the campsite) where we ate in the Jolly Cricketer, opposite the church – lovely food and friendly atmosphere. Not sampled were the little shop next to the pub and the other pub the other side of the church.
Overall a site with excellent facilities and would recommend for a comfortable stay.

Spent one night at Highclere whilst visiting Wembley Stadium for the Rugby League Challenge Cup final. This campsite is an excellent base for visiting Wembley & London. Seer Green Station is about a mile and a quarter away (very regular trains to Marylebone)- best route by foot is to turn left out of the campsite entrance and take next right. About 1/2 mile down road, take the track marked as a cycle way -this takes you down to the station. Care needed though especially at night as there are no footpaths on the road most of the way down.
I was pleasantly surprised by the location of the site - it is actually much nicer than I thought it would be from the website - the area is quite rural, we had fun listening to the owls hooting at each other on the way back from the matchand startled a few rabbits on the way back to the tent.
Cost was £16 for two people plus tent and we used the £0.50 showers which were fine. Toilets clean. Note - comments about the barrier coming down in the evening apply only to caravans, cars can pass underneath it no problem. Tent field is past the caravan hard standings and so furthest away from facilities. Looks like a decent kids play area next to the camping field. Watch your tent pegs though, on our pitch there was a layer of hard core / bricks a few inches down, though this probably explains the good drainage - no mud despite recent heavy rain.

Just returned from camping with 2 kids, had great time. The site is great with a good play area for them to play.
The 20p shower block is very clean and good to use but closed at 9.30am for cleaning, 50p showers are good too but why waste when 20p is just as good.
The barrier other reviews talked about is closed but most normal size cars will fit under it so you can come back late as we did.
Chalfont & latimer station is not far for a trip into london at on £2.50 parking all day,you can get a travel card there for 2 adults & 2 kids (under 10) for £16.50 (kids go free) this station takes you to baker st station ,then travel london on bus, tube, train for free all day.
Legoland about 30mins away which is great, also check out windsor town at night, the big wheel there is fantastic.
On the whole this site is great with nice friendly pubs just down the road, would visit again.
