Our first camping trip - well what can I say, the site was superb. Facilities were clean and modern, plenty of room, Staff were friendly, loads off eggs from the free range chickens for breakfast. Did not see the little man for he was playing in the park from dawn till dusk. Sat outside drinking wine and soaking up the sun. Will definitely return to unwind, this place is so peaceful.

What a fantastic time we had our first ever weekend camping and we enjoyed the experience and the camp site. It is a working farm and the owners are really nice, the park is clean and immaculate at all times. We are hoping to go back again very soon. I honestly believe that a country atmosphere 25 miles from London with a lot local history is well worth a visit. The whole village is friendly and there is plenty of public footpaths for walking

Just returned from a hot but enjoyable weekend's camping at this park. The place had a relaxed feel - we particularly liked being told that we could pitch our tent wherever we liked in either of the two tent fields. We decided to opt for the second field which was nearer to the shower/toilet block - a necessity as our two and a half year old has just started using the toilet! However, on pitching our tent, we realised that there was no gate or gap in the fence to reach the block and we had a choice of either jumping the four foot fence (which we did, I don't know how many times), or take a long walk in the opposite direction back to the other tent field and through the gap in the fence. Had I seen any members of staff during our short stay, I would definitely have suggested that they improve this access issue. Overall however, this is a minor gripe and the site was convenient for our needs and clean and tidy. Our son had a great time at the model village in Beaconsfield nearby which I would recommend for young children. A good site that I would not hesitate to recommend.

Just got back from a weekend stay at Highclere and a very pleasant stay at that. Plenty of room and pitch sizes are nice and big for the tents. Toilets were lovely and clean but the 20p charge for the shower caught a lot of people out as were not told at booking. If you arrived late and went for a shower without any change you would not get a shower. Be aware! Another downside was the aircraft noise from Heathrow airport. Planes taking off till late and starting again in the morning could be a pain if you have light sleepers in the family. Overall a nice site but for the money charged we have had better.

We've just come back from a weekend visit to this site. We found the owner very helpful when we arrived. The site was busy, but had a nice quiet relaxed feel to it. The toilets and showers were spotless as were the washing up facilities. The showers are 20p but last a good long while and are warm. The only downside was the ground was very dry and hard, make sure your tent pegs are up to the job, ours weren't! I'm sure that we'll be back before the end of the season.

We have stayed here 3 or 4 times, in very different weather conditions, and have always had a great time. Even in July & August there always seems to be plenty of space, and the place is always spotless. Have to say I've never had to wait for a shower, no matter how busy the site is - I'm not sure what that says about the other people, though! Pub wise, I personally don't like the White Hart, I much prefer the Cricketers Arms in Seer Green (turn right out of the farm gate). All in all, a nice place for a quiet weekend away - I'm sure we'll be back.

Loved the site! This was our first family camping trip (our children are aged 4 and 7). We camped at the end of half term and had excellent weather. We had plenty of space to pitch our tent, the children enjoyed playing with the other children on site, and the shower facilities were spotlessly clean. We had a very peaceful relaxing stay and will return again.

Visited Highclere for B/H weekend with two other families, 16 of us in total. We found this site to be very well kept, showers and loos were spotless. Fridge and freezer space provided for vistors - don't forget pens and sticky labels! Playground, adjacent to tent field kept kids (ages 3 - 11)amused and tents were not packed in so there was loads of space for ball games etc. and was even a couple of wooden goals for football lovers! Kids liked fields/woods behind campsite to explore. Owners were very relaxed about departure time - it was a bit showery on our last morning so we wanted to allow time for the tents to dry out and they were happy to let us leave in our own time. Plenty to do in the area - Black Park Country Park is well worth a visit (and free except for car park). All in all a great weekend - would definitely return.

The site was very clean and the shower and toilets were excellent,it cost 20p to have a shower so there was always hot water, the only problem was they were a long way to walk too from the tent. Also there was only one tap for the whole of the campsite area, could of doing with a few more. The owners were not very friendly but you were left alone to enjoy your stay. In the middle of the campsite was goal posts and all the kids and adults had great fun,it was enjoyable to watch. Overall the site was quiet relaxing and very clean.

Turned up on a sunny Friday at short notice. Plenty of space in tent field, very friendly welcome. Lots of tents pitched by evening, but still plenty of space for kids to play. Seemed to be popular with families, which meant plenty of other kids to play with. Toilet/shower block very clean, only 4 showers but never seemed to be full (20p for about 5 minutes). Will definitely come back.
