A lovely site which is level with big pitches. Very well kept. The toilet facilities were excellent. Staff were lovely and very helpful.
We were very lucky with the weather and had sunshine every day. The road was noisy as it is the main road down to Pentewan, but once out of the main parts of the day it was OK.
There is a trail that leads down to Pentewan which takes 45 minutes. Supermarkets are available 10mins by car in St Austell. The site shop had the basics and little bags of sweets which were just right for young shopping forays. The fresh bread was lovely.
Lost gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project were our main draw at this time of the year, but the good weather and finding the small secluded cove at the east of the beach made a fantastic holiday.

Kernow Kampers had our club rally at this campsite, and what a lovely time we had. We were made to feel so welcome by Heidi and Richard. It was ideal for a rally, with a bus stop almost outside and a lovely cycle path and walkway to the beach, St. Austell and Mevagissey but to name a few. Such a clean place with lovely showers and toilets. We will be back!

OK, so normally I don't leave reviews. However I do use them so it wouldn't be fair not to leave one for this site!
Firstly, this was our first trip to Cornwall, as it's a 9 hour drive with the caravan so it was an epic drive down. So when we arrived we were really impressed by our first impressions of the site. We knew we had made the right choice. The site looked brand new! Once un hitched and awning up we had a look around. The toilet block was like brand new, by far the best we have ever seen, and it was kept that way all week. Site shop was ideal for few bits, and Richard the site owner was always around and very helpful. Site location is perfect for the whole of Cornwall. We will be staying again without a doubt. We stayed for 7 nights and paid for 5 with worked out less than £10 a night, for possibly the best site we have stayed on in 8 years of caravanning!

We stayed at Little Winnick near Mevagissey, in the middle of a not very pleasant Indian 'Summer'. It rained, blew and the sun shone as well during the week we were there. That's enough of a review on the weather, now for the site. It's lovely, we got a fantastic deal on price and the pitch was a very nice one, with ample space for our Lunar Lexon 540, awning and car. The facilities, toilets, showers etc are first rate, (New), there's even a bath available. There's a beautiful path about a mile and a half long, to Pentewan, a tiny village with a nice pub. This walk is by a small shallow river, where our Tibetan Terrier, Archie had a ball, paddling. Mobile coverage was poor but wifi is available, £15 for the week. Nice site, good staff, great facilities. Please leave room for us though.

Just spent four nights at this site on our first visit to it.
Great staff, New toilet block which was kept in immaculate condition.
Bus stop outside the site with regular service to St Austell and Mevagissey. From St Austell good public transport to virtually anywhere. Also good for cycling and coastal footpaths and a short walk to the beach via the old railway line to Pentewan village.
Very Flat site and the most reasonable site(in terms of cost)I have come across at this time of year. £12 a night with hook up last week.
Plenty of hard standing and grass pitches with hook ups and some grass pitches without hook up.
Local village of Pentewan has a nice Pub (The Ship)which does good food at very fair prices and the last bus back from the village is at 11pm.
There is a walk back alongside the river which is really good in daylight but the main road is quite busy and I would not recommend walking back to the site on this road at any time.
TV reception is a bit 'iffy'so if you want to watch the box get a pitch with a booster plug which is only available on a certain number of pitches.
Surprised to hear that the site was closing for the winter at the beginning of October as there were at least 25 units on the site when we were there.
Well worth a visit. Some kids facilities but an excellent site for Adults who want a good location. Some road noise but not a problem.
A really good site which we are looking forward to returning to in 2016

Nice friendly site and not too big. Walking distance to Pentewan a nice little village and the Ship Inn is most definitely recommended. Near to the Lost Gardens go Heligan and the Eden Project. The walk is beside the river and then through the woods and great for walking the dogs
Mobile phone reception is non-existent for 3 users and TV reception very hard to tune and only limited tv points on some pitches so check beforehand if you need your TV fix.
Good rates as well.

Had a 10 day stay at this touring site. The site itself was well laid out with a choice of grass or hard stand pitches of a decent size, not the biggest but enough. There are very clean and modern shower blocks and toilets, however the showers had a very poor water flow particularly at peak times. Laundry facilities were adequate although 2 machines were waiting repair. For anyone desperate to do a wash there is an excellent launderette in St Austell who will do a service wash and dry at a reasonable price. There is a small play area for children and the things to do and weather report posted on the blackboard was a great idea for anyone on a first visit to Cornwall.
The area is pretty with good cycle paths and walks for the energetic and very central for visiting most of the 'must see places' around Cornwall, St Ives and St Mawes 2 of our favorites. St Austell is a 5 min drive away with all the essential shops.
All in all a great area and a good campsite as a base.

2nd visit here and again it didn't disappoint. Brilliant location and excellent pitch sizes. The shower and toilet block was always kept clean and tidy and had ample showers so hardly ever had to wait. The site itself is immaculate and well looked after. It's location is great for walks along the river to the pub at Pentewan and Mevagissey.
Although the new shower and toilet block are great the only downside is that there is no plug sockets in the ladies block unlike in the old shower block last year!
Overall a brilliant well kept site with great friendly staff.

My wife and I have just returned from an eight night stay here and this is the first time I have ever felt it necessary to write a review.
The site was perfect for what we needed, but I am sure it would be great for any type of visitor. We walked the short distance to the beach and pub at Pentewan several times, but we also found Mevagissey and St Austell to be within walking distance. It is also only a short drive to lots of fantastic places like the Eden Project and St Maws.
The facilities are new, frequently cleaned, and there are plenty of showers and loos for the size of the site. The staff and owners could not be more helpful and the whole place had a really friendly feeling.
Highly recommended !

Stayed here in the 90's and it hasn't really changed much! Very easy to find and well located for beach/town/attractions. We stayed 4 nights and would happily go back and stay for longer.
Pros:
Fantastic toilet/shower block, some of the toilets have their own mirror and wash hand basin which was a nice touch.
Nice little play area for the children, they spent a lot of time in this! It's on the small side though so may get busy in the middle of the summer holidays.
Level pitches, always a bonus! Drainage appeared to be good, based on the rain that we had.
It was good to see staff regularly on site, and always with a cheery hello!
Lovely big field for dog walking - half left with long grass, perfect for my 2 spaniels
Roads were well maintained in good condition.
Pitches are a good size, even for our large tent with plenty of room for the car, the kids swingball, table/chairs etc
Cons:
Road noise, the downside of being on a main road is the noise, and although not the sites fault the abundance of screaming mopeds that can be heard miles away throughout the night.
We were on pitch 30, with an EHU right next to us. Fab we thought. No - our EHU point was through 2 other pitches and too far for our 20m cable! Not the best planning by the owners!
Despite these points, it's hard to find anything too negative to say. Great value for money, one of the cheapest in the area but don't let that out you off, it's not one of the rough and ready type sites but a well managed and maintained gem!
