Stayed here for two nights and have to say one of the best sites we have been to. Toilet/shower block is very modern and kept immaculate. On site shop stocks the basics but Mevagissey is a short bus/taxi ride away.
The staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble, will definitely return here and stay longer.

This is a lovely, friendly and welcoming site. We last visited 2 years ago and the improvements are to be commended. The facilities are new, clean, well maintained and superb. We, my husband and collie, had a fabulous weeks holiday. One minor criticism being that the shop could be much better stocked, a poor number and selection of essentials were available and this being the week before the summer holidays. Regular delivery of fresh LOCAL produce would be fab (especially from a Cornish bakery to include not just bread but pasties/pies and some sweet pastry too. Not least fruit and veg too. Although Asda and Tesco are not far away it'd be lovely to stay on site. So many lovely walks are nearby. We will be coming again - it is so well situated for travelling. Love it, great site. Keep up the good work.

This is a great site just outside Mevagissey with good access from the St Austell/Mevagissey road. It is flat with a brand new toilet block which has everything in it and at the time we visited absolutely brand new and shiny. Site has a small shop for papers and usual daily essentials. The warden keeps the place spotless. Plot sizes are generous. The road around the site is good and does a figure of 8 around the main field. There appear to be two other fields used for rallies and dog walking.
We may go back this year but not in school holidays so we can get a reasonable travel time less than the 10 hours plus from Cambridge to Pentewan which was too long.

We were running very late due to roadworks, accidents, etc we phoned and the owners stayed back to let us late entry. The site is very clean and tidy, the shower and washing area is brand new and cleaned regularly, the pitches are large and the site is quite even for being next to a main road. Wifi available all over the site and good enough to stream with. This is a great site to get to all of Cornwall on day trips, could fault it at all and we will return.

This is a lovely site, peaceful clean and inviting, all the staff were polite and helpful, it's in beautiful location and the instructions to get to the site were spot on. The facilities were excellent and the washrooms and showers were spotless although another shower block possibly where the old swimming pool was would make a difference at busy times, but overall can't fault this perfect site

A lovely site. Very clean. Very clean toilet and shower block all facilities where excellent. Pitches where very large with plenty of space for caravan, awning, car and a grassy area to sit. All the staff where very helpful and friendly also a nice little shop. For emergencies, fresh eggs and locally grown strawberries. It was a great location to use as a base for visiting some beautiful areas in cornwall especially Gorran Haven. Have booked again for next year already.

Had another lovely stay here.
The play area with new toddler play equipment.
The new loo area - lots of toilets and showers, with bath for families.
New undercover washing up area with the freezer for freeze blocks in so you don't have to wait for the shop to open - great idea, and its free.
A take away service comes every Thursday night.
The staff: from the man who booked us in who was happy and helpful to the lady who helped amuse my youngest two children when they were up early on Saturday morning by letting them 'help' (ie hinder) her - thankyou - was much appreciated.
The pitches are very well kept, clean and tidy. Very easy to pitch in, and lovely and flat, well divided.
It is a very laid back and quiet campsite. Laid back during the day and quiets down about 9:30pm ish at night which is lovely.
The scenery - it is beautiful campsite alive with nature - the birds hopping about all day are happy to be there.
The other campers are also welcoming - one even helped us with putting away our tent in the pouring rain!
Really recommend this campsite.

Old style friendly site with good size pitches and lovely facilities at a very reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay and were able to visit lots of places we hadn't seen in Cornwall. Lovely owners but not intrusive. A large Asda quite close which was very convenient as we were there for 10 days but the bread sold in the shop was really nice. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

A spotlessly maintained site. New facilities, shop for essentials and very friendly, helpful staff.
The river walk/cycleway is easily accessible at the back of the site taking you a short distance into St Austell or Pentewan. Across the road is the cycleway/footpath to Heligan & Mevagissey and with the bus stop outside getting about couldn't be easier.
Unfortunately dogs aren't allowed on the lovely stretch of beach at Pentewan but certainly worth the walk there if only to sit and enjoy a drink in the beer garden of The Ship Inn. The food looked good although we didn't eat there.
Our only negative re: the site is the road noise however our pitch was close to the site entrance and therefore if you were further down the site it may not be so intrusive.
As we were leaving a caravan club rally was arriving and erecting all manner of instructive signage which we thought was a little rude given that the site has it's own rules. We were glad we didn't have to spend time next to the club steward with his sign instructing people to 'all members must report to the Steward'. A large trail of party members back and forth past our van wouldn't have been exactly relaxing. Maybe rallies and groups could have their own area?
