Lovely little site, clean and tidy, good facilities, showers and toilets very clean and tidy.

Nothing was a problem for the staff, all were very helpful and friendly. Well supplied, reasonably priced accessory shop on site.

Wolsingham is no more than a 10 minute stroll away, although a bit short on pubs (only 2 and one did'nt open until 2 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon).

Excellent Fish and Chip shop, there's also a Chinese Takeaway, but didn't try it.

Quiet at night. Also weather good which always helps.

Nice cafe in the town.

Cannot fault this site, its staff or its location. As they don't have a drive over grey waste disposal they loaned us a waste hog.

The pitch was flat, hardstanding with hookup and its own designated grass!

Fresh water was close by and the toilet/shower facilities were excellent.

There was also free WiFi. We paid £26 pn. The town is outstanding. We visited the park, the Bay Horse and the Black Lion.

We also visited the fish and chip shop and had beautiful fish. We also had a lovely meal in the Italian.

We caught the bus to Bishop Auckland which is every hour and walked round the Bishops Palace.

We also visited Durham by catching same bus to Crook and then bus to Durham which were every 15 min.

We also did a couple of the short walks which were on display in the facilities block.

We did go and look at the station but trains were only Wednesday and Saturdays.

Absolutely loved this place.

The site is a small family run site of 18 well kept level pitches, the shower/toilet and latrine areas are immaculate and a.

Credit to Robson’s never ending toil. My wife and I have frequented the accessories shop over the years, and decided to try the site in our motorhome and have to say the stay was beyond our expectations, the Robson family were friendly always having time to chat and very helpful.

For those who want to enjoy walking or want to enjoy Weardale there is public transport every hour, and the bus stop is just outside of the campsite.

The river runs along the back of the site, giving a tranquil rippling sound, there is also a heron visits on the river if you are lucky enough to catch sight of him.

The village is only a few minutes walk away with shops and cafes catering for your needs.
We will be back again soon.

 What a lovely little site.

Clean and well laid out, flat pitches. Staff at reception were really nice.

An easy walk into the pretty town.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

We will be back.

Excellent site pic-nic tables around should you need one. Lovely tarmac pitches and roads so no messy boots.

Staff so friendly at the time of booking and arrival. I love it when site owners/wardens make time to chat.

Annemarie was so lovely; giving us helpful information about the site, the area and bus routes etc.

The facilities are immaculate. A token (FREE) gives 8 minuets of lovely hot water without pressing buttons- heaven.

Ladies just note: no hairdryer- not a problem to me but just thought I’d mention it.

With a brother who just moved into the area we will return again and again. So much to see in that area. Cannot fault this site.

All in all a nice quiet site, nothing for kids to do on site.

The mens urinal is outside next to the toilet block.

Site is located along side the river which attracts plenty of wild life.

Enjoyed listening to the nocturnal animals.

We use this site regularly as it’s close to home but has excellent access to Weardale and Teesdale and makes an excellent base for walking.

Laid back and friendly site with excellent pitches and nice facilities.

A very nice little site attached to a caravan / motor home dealer.

Good clean facilities, friendly staff,

£24 per night including electricity and shower.

There is a Shell garage with really nice Spar shop with butcher an bakery less than a mile away, Pub in village does basic pub grub, a better choice and fantastic Sunday Lunch ‘The Bay Horse’ 1 mile away.

What more do you need?
