My family love this site. Very well looked after by very nice people. Nice clean shower and toilets.
Love that dogs are allowed as some great walks along the riverside. Great pubs in village for bar meals and shops for essentials.
I have been going to this site regularly since the day it opened and would highly recommend it to others.

The Paddocks is a super new site, ideal for everyone,
The wear railway is nearby, ideal for a trip, which I did with my dog 🐕, they are very informative on the railway,
Back to the site, it is so lovely with the river at the side.

Spent a Saturday night at The Paddock whilst exploring Weardale for the weekend. Robsons staff very friendly and happy to provide information on the local area.
Site and shower block very clean. We have dogs and so nice to have a dog friendly site with plenty of walks from the site. We also met the owner’s dogs who are lovely!
We enjoyed the extensive running and mountain biking trails at Hamsterley Forest. We ate at Buon Appetito in Wolsingham which was good and well priced.
Also spent a few hours at Stanhope Outdoor Pool which is great on a hot day.
Will definitely be back.

We come to this site regularly as it’s a quick and local getaway.
As always, excellent welcome, great facilities, good value and well located for local facilities and as a base for Weardale.

This is a lovely site in a very nice village. We had a warm welcome and were told our pitch and given sheet of helpful details.
WiFi available for a charge of £1 (we only stayed one night so not sure how long this lasts) the showers and toilets are in a specially adapted static caravan, exceptionally clean and with free showers. Goof information leaflets for local area and walks.
A nice stroll into the village which has a few shops, a spa a couple of pubs and a very nice Italian restaurant. We were travelling from Edinburgh to Thirsk and used the site as a stopover and would definitely use this well kept site again.
Good recycling facilities and even a proper waste container you could use with a motorhome. All pitches appear to be hard standing with EHU and several water points throughout.

What is there not to like.
Friendliest staff around.
Lovely little village on the doorstep with good amenities. Excellent butcher, baker and places to eat No. 10 and Bon appetito.
Bus stops near site entrance for travel east and west.
Now to the site. Although adjacent to a busy road sound is not intrusive. Site is well kept and all facilities in first class order. Good base for Weardale and all it has to offer.
First visit but not the last.
Highly recommended

Wonderful small site attached to old established caravan/motorhome dealership. 18 pitches only one of which is grass. The rest hardstanding. Ehu 16 amp.
Showers very clean and free, dogs welcome also free. WIFI small daily charge, the staff are very friendly and helpful, bus stops almost outside the gates. Few shops in the village 5 minutes walk away. Very good fish and chip shop, italian restaurant and chinese take away and at the minute one pub open.
This year cost is £19 per night per couple. Worth every penny !
