We stayed over the May Bank Holiday weekend and had a pleasant stay. On arrival we thought the greeting was a bit 'terse' but we dealt with that!
The site, as mentioned, is very close to Manston airport, but that should be of no concern at all, you barely notice the small amount of aircraft, and while we were there, the Red Arrows paid a visit.
Because the site is surrounded in a hedgerow, you have the distinct feeling of being in the middle of knowhere, although you have all shopping amenities you could possibly need within a mile and half away. There's a pleasant pub a 10 minute walk away, and a good central location to explore The isle Of Thanet.
The beaches are close too, and if you have a dog, the beach near Louisa Bay in Broadstairs is handy, where we had a very enjoyable lunch at the Louisa Bay Cafe.
My one criticism of the site is the woefully inadequate showers, the flow was awful, and you have to get very intimate with the wall in an attempt to get under the flow of water, and a couple of times so slow and cold, unusable.
We'd go back, but not for more than a couple of days, as the showers were a pain.

Lovely!
When we arrived at Manston Caravan and Camping park we were a little concerned that it was so close to an airport but we hardly heard any of the planes.
The site is very well maintained and laid out with hedges separating the camping areas. The people who run the shop on site are very friendly. They cook meals which are very nice and affordable, its amazing what they can do in the space they have!
The toilets and showers were immaculate at all times and we never had to queue for either. These were left open 24 hours a day.
There was a large dog exercise field where the dogs can run freely and there is a small wooden play area for the kids.
This is a nice quiet camp site and I was worried that my kids would be too noisy but we had a great time here and would consider returning.

Me and my family stayed here for 1 week. On arrival we went to reception booked in and then shown to our pitches which were together as asked for at time of booking. Very flat pitches, plenty of room at either side with a high hedge behind, so even if the wind did blow (which it didn't on our visit) you wouldn't have felt it,
Bbq's were allowed. We went electric hookup, ours did trip which meant that you had to go and reset it a lot. There is a shop which sells the basics and also does cooked breakfast and evening meals to take away (we had both and would recommend)
Toilets/shower block, washing up area rubbish bins and chemical disposal were all in one area, there is also a play area at one end.
The site is very well situated with lots of places close by and not very far from Folkstone if you fancy going on the euro tunnel to france, which we did just for the day. All in all a very good site and would come back again

This was our first ever camping trip and it was lovely! the site is great! the toilets and showers were always clean no matter what time of day/night it was, we pitched near the play park which our two eldest (8yrs and 5yrs) children enjoyed and could come and go all day, the fact there is no slide was a plus for us, as we didn't have to worry about anyone falling off! and it is rubber matted too.
The site is always clean and tidy, we found the field to walk our dog ok and was all that was needed. The facilities are all in one spot, so you know where everything is!
We all had a fantastic time here and with 3 children and a dog found it to be a very relaxing time ! the staff were very helpful and friendly and highly recommend a breakfast at least once! and we will be back here next year without fail!

This was the second time that my son and myself visited this site, and we weren't in general disappointed.
Reasonable price, reasonable space.
They were a little disorganised when we arrived, but was easily sorted.
Excellent for local walks, shops and Broadstairs is in easy reach. (Margate's worth missing). This is also a WW2 commemoration site with local RAF museum. Worth a visit.
Good, clean facilities. Very business like, but friendly hosts.
We will be returning before the summer's out!

We stayed here for two nights and found this to be a lovely place to stay. The campsite owners were really friendly and welcoming, and very helpful. They showed us where all the facilities were, and showed us to our pitch. The toilet and shower blocks were very clean. There was plenty of toilets to use, and about 5 showers. We went at the weekend and never needed to queue for either. The showers are free, and warm but not too hot. They were fine for our young children. The pitches are flat and sheltered by hedges. There is a nice children's playground. The owners don't tolerate anti social behaviour, so you should have a nice quiet time if you come here. Highly recommend.

2nd outing in our trailer tent & first this year before the birth of our second child!, the site is very well looked after with the owners always a visible presence ensuring all campers were ok.
We had an EHU in a field adjacent to the facilities block which although only having 4 showers & toilets for each sex, these were kept very clean even on a busy wet bank holiday weekend.
There is a small friendly shop selling sweets for kids & forgotten essentials like ketchup for bbq dinners! They also cook breakfast & other meals at a reasonable cost (we did not try but it seemed popular with other campers).
There is a children's play area ut our 3 year old was either too big or small for most apparatus but enjoyed it anyway.
There are some great beaches (broadstairs, Minnis bay, Joss bay etc) just 10minutes from the site & Westwood cross shopping centre 5 minutes away including a Toby carvery restaurant (absolute bargain)well worth a visit. The spitfire & hurricane museum is free & less than 2 minutes drive away.
We live 40 minutes away & would definitely comeback.

Had 2 nights here, we are new to caravaning and this was our first outing, the lady welcomed us and ensured we were ok. Toilets / showers very clean and tidy. Pitches are a good size, we have 2 dogs and there is a field to walk them. 10mins drive to some local beaches. Dogs are allowed on most of them before 10am and after 6, some in certain areas. No dogs on Margate beach though. Nice shop and small cafe on site.

We have just got back from 2 nights stay. Loved it, lovely site and nice chap who owns it, very friendly who will bend over backwards to help you. We were pitched up opp the park which was great as our 2 girls with their cousins were off on their own to play.
Overall review
Site = Very clean, flat site park = could do with a slide but overall my girls enjoyed it (age 3 and 5)
Toilets and showers = Showers not one of the best, one morning it trickled out, but was better than nothing.
Location = Could not ask for better, Margate and Broadstairs 15-20 mins drive. Asda/Tesco extra 10 mins drive.
There is a small shop on site (but didn't use it as did shopping in tesco) and they would cook you a fresh breakfast each mornin.
Look out for Broadstairs folk fesitval, this year started Fri th Aug, great day out!
This camp site is situated right next to the airport, but don't let this put you off, the reviews are correct, it does not bother you at all, my girls found it exciting seeing the odd planes take off!
Overall, would visit again!

Brilliant camp site, easy to find, excellent location for local attractions, good facilities and spotlessly clean!
We enjoyed a 5 day break here through a variety of weather and found it to be of a high standard with lovely showers and toilets and beautifully mown grass throughout.
We will definitely be going back!
The not so plus sides (and this is purely personal opinion) are it is a popular site and was a far cry from the 'middle of no-where feeling sites' we've been to before. There were lots of families here which meant our 3 had lots of mates to play with at the playground but that meant it was quite noisy in the early evening. There were a few young families here too probably because of the excellent facilities and so light sleepers would not appreciate this site at all as you are likely to be woken by crying babies at 3 in the morning.
However we are a reasonably noisy family (3 boys under 7) so it was perfect for us and we would recommend it!
