Stayed at this site on the bank holiday weekend. The first impressions last and this one made a good first impression! nice tidy lawns, sweeping driveway with a few tents dotted along one side (though a good 500m from the road). We parked at the reception and were met by a very happy chap who was showing others where to park, wash, etc. The lady in reception said they were fully booked, though we could stay in the overflow (the tents we had seen out the front) if we liked. This was fine with us as there was only 4 or 5 tents there. The facilities were bright and clean. The shower could have been a bit better as it's one of the push button ones where you have to press it every 10 seconds! though it was nice and hot if a bit weak. The two nights were spent there were lovely. very quiet, relaxed, not too noisy (from kids, large groups etc). Good for all ages (we're early 30's). Don't know what facilities they had for kids, but there were plenty of them riding their bikes down the paths. Manston airport is close-by but you don't hear anything from that. The Spitfire Museum is worth a visit. Would definitely recommend and are thinking about visiting again next year. Would like to see the owners do more for recycling tho, all rubbish went into a big skip!

Great site and good location but, over the busy weekend the showers and all hot water supplies packed up (apparently 2nd or 3rd time its occurred) and then cold water disappeared as well. The site owner is aware of the problem and blames local development! Also the local kennels wake you at 0630 and the aircraft at the nearby airfield keep children awake until 2200. The pitches are not large enough for the bigger tents that are commonplace and leaves no space for cars and the rows looked more like a row of terraced tents than a campsite.
But we still had a fantastic bank holiday weekend in the glorious sun.

It was only a one night stand so we didn't book and even though it was bank holiday weekend they found us a good space. The site is very tidy with excellent facilities even an on-site take away, great breakfast! Quite close to the airport but apart from some vintage plane flypasts, including a spitfire, we only heard one take off. Good centre for exploring Thanet.

We spent 4 nights here at the end of July and were lucky enough to have lovely hot weather. The site itself is very clean and well laid out with plenty of space between each tent. The staff are very helpful - we had trouble with the electric unit one evening but a friendly electrician turned up at 8 am the next morning and it was quickly fixed. The toilets and showers are very clean. I didn't find the water too hot - people would soon moan if it was cold - there is no pleasing some is there! They are regularly cleaned throughout the day. There is a launderette and a washing up area, again these were very clean. The children had a lovely time in the play area which is very safe and clean. There is a small shop/cafe on site but there is a tesco, sainsburys and somerfields nearby. The cafe sold kids meals and chips etc. The site is an ideal base for Ramsgate, Herne Bay, Margate and Broadstairs and don't let the airport put you off - its not exactly Gatwick! We will be coming back at the end of August.

Just spent the weekend at this lovely site. Despite recent wet weather the site was in very good condition. We were camped with another two families in a corner near playground, which worked well for us as we had 8 children between us. It was a good playground, perhaps more geared to the over 5's, but six of ours who were under 5 seemed to enjoy it. I was concerned about shower temperature for the kids after reading previous reviews, but ours had showers both days and all seemed quite happy, I certainly enjoyed my hot showers. We live fairly locally so knew there is a huge Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury within 10 min drive. We were planning on fish and chips for our second night from local take away but discovered the campsite had small take away and they did a very nice fish and chips, which we could have on plates or take away dishes, and the service was with a smile. The cost was £3.40 which was a fair price for a very nice supper. Would most definitely visit this site again.

Lovely clean park as all other reviews have said. Plenty of leaflets saying what is on in the local area.
We had a weekend here with 3 tents and families. Lovely flat pitches. EHU - Had to thread our cable through a hedge to hook up - we got some weird looks from the person who was pitched near our pod. Some pitches very large - you get what you pay for. We had a big ant problem - we bought some ant powder and put a barrier around the edge of our tent bedrooms and this seemed to keep them at bay.
Small play area with ball games played by all. Kids loved watching plane (jumbo) taking off.
Only a couple of negative things:-
Showers where too hot - my daughter would not wash off her shampoo. I mentioned this to the owners and they said there was nothing they could do. Had to queue - would not like to see it at peak times - Only 4 in ladies - plenty of hanging changing space in them though - solid doors not nylon curtains.
Hedges (walk throughs) to toilets could do with trimming back quite a bit as they attacked you - not good at night time in the dark when you need the loo. Also watch out for bikes exiting these walk throughs. Tesco's and Tobby Carvery near.
Nearby beaches and sea very clean.
Would consider this site if shower temp was lower - even one degree would help.

Really nice campsite, I liked the layout - lots of small fields separated by high hedges. We stayed over the Bank Holiday weekend, and even though it was busy, it never really felt overcrowded like some campsites do. Plenty of toilets. Although could do with a few more showers! Never had to queue for too long though.
Very clean and tidy site. Our toddler loved the horses in the field behind which she could just see by looking though gaps in the hedge.
It was great to see a couple of big planes taking off at Manston airport across the road, however we only saw two all weekend and I'd have like to have seen more.
The campsite had a really nice vibe to it, plenty of barbeques in the evening and people sitting outside their tents chatting. It was never noisy, just enjoyable.
We would definitely camp again here.

A great little campsite. Very pretty and well laid out. Plenty of space between pitches. Showers good but basic. Cooked breakfasts available although a little expensive for what you got. We have had a good time here on a few occasions over the years. There is an airport nearby(!) but I can honestly say it has never affected our stay.

Just had a long weekend at this site. What a lovely place. Staff were friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers were always clean. Big field and play area for the kids. Only 10 minutes drive from all the main places, Broadstairs and Margate. We will be visiting this site again.

Great campsite to stay at. No clubhouse so doesn't attract undesirable people. We went for the weekend. You couldn't ask for nicer patrons, caring and considerate. They listen to your requirements and try best to accommodate these. They are also very open to receiving your comments. The site is well established with well maintained grounds, the foliage throughout is excellent. Centrally located there is a main block that contains separate male and female toilets/shower blocks, a reception (including the ability to buy camping gas in various formats) and a small provision that provides take away items from breakfast through to dinner. Papers can be ordered for the following day (by 3pm day before). In a separate review someone wrote don't let the planes put you off and they were right. We only had two plane departures, one on Friday evening around 9pm and one on Sunday morning at 9am. It was actually fun to hear the jet engines in the distance as the plane was taxiing and then to see only the tail zoom past the distance hedges before take off (without trying to sound a nerd very Thunderbirds!). A great central base to explore Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate and Sandwich, thoroughly recommended to anyone wishing to explore the Isle of Thanet (which has so much to offer despite the appalling so called 'Dreamland' in Margate which sadly given the hard work the 'Save Dreamland Campaign' has done, is now totally run down, entrance via rubbish and broken glass behind the 'Punch and Judy Pub' and basically a travelling fair with extortionate prices and miserable staff). The campsite is well looked after, maintained and a credit to the Isle of Thanet of yesteryear - the way Thanet should and could be remembered by everyone. I throughly recommend anyone who wishes to visit the Isle and who is camping to try this campsite. My kids gave it 9/10 and so did we. We will definitely be going back there in the not too distant future.
