We have just returned from our very first camping trip as a Family, We thought that this was a wonderful little site, in a great location, close to Ramsgate, Margate, Dover, and Dymchurch.
We thought that the toilet facilities were fantastic, always clean and never full, the showers although could do with updating a bit, were always hot, and never busy.
It is situated across the road from Kent International Airport, but you don't notice the planes and they don't fly at night, but saying that my 2 boys and partner found them fascinating to watch.
The site is close to Tescos and Sainsburys and there is the Westwood shopping centre 5 minutes drive away if you forget anything.
This site feels like you are in the middle of nowhere yet you are close to everything you need to make a good holiday.
All the pitches are flat, it rained whilst we were there and there were no problems and prices aren't too bad, they have serviced and non serviced pitches and don't mid you having a BBQ. My kids loved the play park and we struggled to get them off before 10 at night, they made so many friends my youngest didn't want to come home.
I can safely say we will be visiting again!

What a wonderful site!
This site is maintained to a high standard, the pitches were flat/level and the staff were very pleasent.
Toilet and shower facilities were very clean as well as the washing up area.
The shop is well stocked and also sells a selection of cooked foods at very reasonable prices although there is an Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's within 5 minutes drive of the site.
The site is located next to an airport but I wouldn't let this put you off as we didn't hear one aeroplane in all the time we were there!
The site is in a great location, less than 10 minutes drive to get to Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate all of which have sandy beaches where we spent most of the day time enjoying the sunshine.
The evenings were spent relaxing on site drinking wine whilst the kids played and made friends in the play area.
Would highly recommend and intend on visiting again.

A great site that is very well run by pleasant staff. Toilets and washing facilities are some of the best I have seen in 50 years of camping holidays. The site itself is landscaped with some very beautiful shrubs and it is a pleasure to walk around the site. The occasional aircraft adds a bit of interest for most of the campers, Great little activity area for the children, the whole site is very safe for the little ones to run free. All in all It is a perfect place for all to have a wonderful holiday.

Visited this site with six other families with children ranging from 7 to 15. We were all very, very happy with the site. It might have had something to do with the weather being absolutely fantastic, but also the shower and toilet block were spotlessly clean at all times. There were sufficient facilities for us all, but we would be concerned if the site were busy as there is only the one block for all four(?) fields. In fact, since returning home today I spoke to a stranger in a camping shop who told me that they had visited this site last bank holiday when the site was extremely crowded and the showers broke and were not fixed immediately. Also, I understand that units were crammed in wherever possible. This is not my own personal experience, however, but we were all concerned with how the facilities would cope if the site were full.
The play area for the children is very well thought out and there was sufficient room in the field for the children to play games in the centre. Ours were not the only children playing.
We booked this site as it is sometimes difficult to book for groups to stay together. The owners put us in the best area possible so that we could be sociable with each other and also sort of keep ourselves to ourselves without disturbing the other campers.
We visited Kingsgate Bay as two of the families had dogs. This is a sandy and seaweedy beach, but perfect for us as it is not well visited. Be warned - there is no parking apart from in the local pub that charges £10! for the day.
There is a small shop/cafe on site that is open for a couple of hours in the morning and evening that has a small selection of items (didn't visit it myself, but understand sweets are definitely sold there and serves tea and coffee; breakfasts and evening meals are made to order.
We shall be returning to this site next year. We were not disturbed by the airport.

A lovely site. Reception were very helpful and a very laid back site. Toilets were clean and tidy and this is the most important factor in a campsite for us. We live locally to the site and tried out our trailer tent for the first time. We felt a million miles away from home. Our two children of two and five loved the play area. A shame it was so busy, tents were put in the middle of a large field area in front of our trailer which made us feel a little cramped. Will definitely visit again for our next bank holiday!

We stayed here for one night and were very happy with this campsite.
The owners were friendly and as it wasn't busy we had the choice of where to pitch - either an empty field with trees along the right hand side or a larger tent field with 2 or 3 other tents. We chose the larger field. Our neighbours were either families with kids playing swingball or riding their bikes or couples. All very friendly but not intrusuve in any way.
We paid £20 as we have a larger tent plus a dog. The dog exercise area was very nice and a decent size with a poo bin.
Toilet block was super clean at all times as were the shower facilities. Showers were free and had a small shelf and hook to hang clothes - I had to keep pressing the button to keep the flow going but it was fine and hot.
The shop was great and we got a decent cooked breakfast for £3.80 each to take back to our tent in the morning - would recommend!
Kent International airport wasn't a problem for us as we live in west London so are used to far more planes than this - I really wouldn't be put off by this unless you are a sensitive soul to noise. I would visit here again if staying in the area without a doubt.

Spent a weekend here and found the site to be all we could hope for. Fairly quiet on main field near children's play area but a children's event going on on one of the other fields meant there were a lot of people around. Toilets and showers were still clean despite lots of use. Main impression was of how well maintained the site was, grass and hedges beautifully tended and all clean and tidy. Small shop and takeaway on site, we did not try it ourselves but others were impressed. Was one noisy moment when a large plane took off from nearby airport but otherwise a lovely quiet place to spend a couple of days. No noise at night from other campers, a really family orientated site.
We are going back in the school holidays and sure we will be back many other times - we loved it!

We've just spent two nights at this site, and would definitely recommend it. It's very neat, well kept with plenty of space between tents, quiet and relaxing. The children's play area is sited well away from the site entrance in a very safe area although the equipment is more suited to those children aged 4+. The day manager often walked around, chatting to people, making sure everything was ok, picking up litter, etc. I didn't use the showers, but they looked very clean, as were the toilets. The small shop on site also doubles as a takeaway serving breakfasts and evening food, and is reasonably priced. They will freeze your freezer blocks for 20p per block. There is a washing up area and laundry room. The nearby airport is hardly on the same scale as Gatwick/Heathrow, and the only noise was from what sounded like small aircraft during the daytime - it didn't disturb me at all and I am quite sensitive to that kind of thing! It's ideally placed for exploring Thanet and the surrounding area. We were impressed with this site and will definitely be making a return visit.

We camped here for our first camping trip. We loved it and so did the children. Very friendly site where children and adults were welcome to play. Our 8 yr old and 1 yr old had a lovely time and were fascinated by the aeroplanes going over!
Would come again

Spent three nights here. On arrival the lady in the office was very unwelcoming, I felt we were not welcome at all. However our stay was great. We were put in a corner near the tourong caravans, that didn't bother us we like our privacy. We did have a problem with the campers on the other side of the hedge playing music loud and till late, but when we mentioned it to the owners it was delt with very quickly and with confidence, the owner also came back to us to tell what he had done. The showers were, as mentioned in other reviews, much too hot. The first few seconds could scould someone. The loos were clean at all times. The shop assistants were very manic but very friendly. We did have a loveley time even when we were bailing out with the terential rain! We will definitely visit again.
