We booked this site as it is close to relatives who have moved to Gorleston. We visit each year for a family gathering. We arrived quite late on Friday for may bank holiday. Service upon arrival was very good. Got to our plot and was king of taken aback by the noise (very packed / very busy / very excited families etc. ). The touring field is plain / square and open plan. Plots are quite small. Sufficient, but close to each other, which when packed is more noticeable. We were a little disappointed with the entrance to the touring field being located right next to the basketball pitch (although enclosed) was chocka with kids running in and out. The toilet / shower facilities were sufficient and clean. All other site facilities were good, the indoor pool looks fab / outdoor pool with water slide was closed all weekend (no idea why, appeared not to be ready for the season yet). Bar was nice and we had food once on site, this was good value and suitable for the price paid. As a personal preference this is not our cup of tea site, but if we were younger with kids it would have been great (although still a very noisy site). Off site surroundings are good and a convenient location to visit many attractions. All in all - no complaints and would be great for families with children who don't mind hustle / bustle and a noise (generally it did fall silent by around 10pm to be fair). Good value for money in terms of the rates we were charged for a bank holiday weekend with all the site faculties available.

This was the first of 3 PARK Resorts sites booked for our September break and we were very fortunate to have excellent weather. The site is well situated for exploring the Broads, Norwich (use park and ride!), Great Yarmouth and Bressingham gardens and steam museum. We were quickly booked in and met by the Touring Warden who showed us to a suitable pitch. As stated in other reviews, the wardens were expected to do many different jobs and both seemed to enjoy their roles. Only one toilet block was open but this was not a problem as the site was not very busy. The toilets were kept well stocked with loo rolls and soap but the cleaning could have been better. The block was very cold as there was no heating especially first thing in the morning. There was always a good supply of hot water in the showers but be prepared to shower one handed as they only run for around 6 seconds. Our stay was spoiled by inconsiderate campers who left a dog tied up outside their caravan until 1:45AM. The poor dog was howling and after a complaint to security, one guard actually sat with the dog for over two hours until the owners returned. One other issue we had was that the outdoor pool was closed which meant a very long walk to the other nearby Park site to use the indoor pool. We did not use the camp food outlets or attend any of the entertainment so cannot comment. Overall, we had a good stay and would certainly go back again.

This was our first ever camping trip and we were fortunate to have glorious weather. We arrived midweek wasn't so busy. Welcomed and guided to our elec pitch. Pitch seemed good no holes or concrete. All ok. The toilets were passable and kept relatively clean. This proved more difficult as the site filled up as this member of staff was a jack ofs all trades!Give him his due was always helpful. Indoor pool was very clean. We used outdoor as weather so good for two days. Good amount of sunbeds. Bar overlooking pool (pricey!) but offered shade for those who seeked. Tasty burgers at pool for a very reasonable £1. 50. Two pools main and little. Water slide dated and kids reported bums hurt on ridges as poor water flow. Great park area and pitch n putt. Clubhouse kept clean. Kiddies enjoyed Sparkys club routine. Main bar not staffed well in day. (again staff member in charge of loos called away) leaving no one serving.

Gorlestin beach 10 mins in the car. Beautiful big beach.

All in all a good site which I'm sure we will return. My only criticism is the lack off staff although credit to those who work very hard there.

We got a good deal on a static caravan on the Yare site so decided to leave the tourer at home.

Check in staff were very helpful and pleasant. Our 'silver' caravan was very nice - well kept and clean.

The kids loved the park and the mini golf (very reasonable at only £1). There are also some ride-on motorbikes at 50p a time. The man in charge of these and the family bikes etc was lovely, very polite and chatty.

We used the outdoor pool which the kids enjoyed, although it could do with a bit of TLC.

Shop on site was a bit poor but we went to the post office which was only a few minutes away. The shop on the other site seemed better stocked.

We had breakfast most days in the bar (2 mini breakfasts for £5 inc tea/coffee & toast).

We also went to curry night but the meal was disgusting!

Evening entertainment was ok - pretty much as you expect from holiday parks.

There is a footpath from the top corner of the touring field which takes you to Burgh Castle, nice little walk. There's also a walk along the river to a pub but we couldn't get with the pushchair.

Ideal location for Great Yarmouth, Gorleston & Lowestoft.

Overall, a good site. Will hopefully return soon!

We have been to the IoW PArk resorts at Lower Hyde the past two years had a good time and knew what to expect of the site, even if Braydon Water is smaller.

Pros

The site itself is nice, the tent area is nice with some trees etc, reasonable pitch sizes.

Facilities are decent, two washouses, a smallish clubhouse (compared to Iow), a decent swimming pool, decent bar. Hard football/Basketball court.

Cons

The people. Harsh I know, but the attitude of some of the people at the site was awful, and the way the park failed to deal with them meant we leave two nights early.

I continually found excrement smeared on the floor or toilet seats and the blocks seemed to be cleaned once a day. Why do people go on holiday and feel the need to execute a dirty protest in the toilets ?

The evening noise. Its a family campsite, I took two young kids, I don't expect peace and quiet. However after 10 or 11pm I would hope other campers would at least start to lower the volume of the sound. We were pitched near a group of 6 tents, about 30 odd people. They basically sectioned off th e'road' so people couldn't walk through, which wasn't a massive issue due to the layout. They then sat outside the tents talking, well actually shouting and screaming until 2am 3 nights in a row. On the 3rd night I had to call security as we were not getting any sleep. Security said that as it was just after 12 they couldn't go as the club was closing so to give them 15 minutes to settle. I told them they weren't on the way back from the club they were camped out around a fire. He turned up 10 minutes later and they had a massive row but said they would go to bed. An hour later they are still shouting and screaming and the security guard comes back at 1-30am and says that people complain about the daftest of things (totally undermining the complaint) and that he had heard the noise the previous night but didn't do anything because no one complained!

We therefore decided to leave the next day but the manager said he had received lots of complaints and they would be leaving that day. However they didn't try to get them to leave until 6pm. However this time they were quiet and we got a decent nights sleep and they left the next day.

So after 3 days of them we had a good day and the next night the campsite was much better. Until the next night when we got back to our tent at 11pm and just got into bed when a car arrived in the next pitch and a group then spent 2 hours pitching with car engine and lights on. Rang security to check they knew they were here and they said yes they arrived late. Oh that's fine then, we will all stay up whilst they pitch their tent in the dark.

Result, left next day and will never return. The lack of ability to deal with their campers and ensure everyone has a good holiday ruined it for us.

Very nice park has 2 sites bure and yare village.

The indoor swimming pool very nice size not just for kids to play but adults to continue fitness swims as can do lenghts.

The gym is also included which is a bonus.

The shower and toilet blocks kept very clean and tidy, use of hair dryers free of charge.

Staff including wardens very friendly and helpful.

Large size touring area.

Clubhouse very nice.

However meal sizes in restaurant not very good value for money&bar drinks quite exspensive, preferd to buy from local tesco store about 2-3 miles from

Site. Chinese with english meal opposite including delivery.

And local pub next to site, does meals good price.

Good campsite Location inbetween great yarmouth and lowestoft.

Would definitely recommend and we will be going back.

3 night stay - Touring warden showed us to our pitch, we were able to choose where even though it was busy. We chose 107 which is in a single row so there is no one behind you, the main grass area in the middle I felt was a bit crowded but it was busy.

There are two toilet blocks, to be honest both need updating a bit.

We used the larger one for showers, the water is reasonably hot. I would recommend some flip flops or similar as there is no heating and most people cant be bothered to close the door so it can get chilly. There is only one sink in a cubicle and no where to dry your hair, no sockets or dryers.

The second toilet block is much smaller it only has two showers and has one hair dryer.

The roads around the touring field are not paved so can be bumpy, take a torch if you go up to the arcade or entertainment as its pretty dark on the way back and the ground is uneven. It rained quite heavily but we didn't see any pitches flooded.

The chinese takeaway between the two sites is good, nice food. The shop on Yare is very limited I thought the shop on Bure is better.

Family fun bikes are £7 per half hour to hire.

To sum up I would stay here for a weekend but not for a week. The Wardens are helpful and appreciate a good morning and a smile.

The toilets need upgrading and more of them.

Unfortunately I felt it was let down by some of the people staying there - not flushing toilets, leaving doors open to toilet block, and generally not being considerate of others

We visited breydon water (yare village park resorts) we were there for the weekend from 23rd sept to the 25th and I have got to say what a fabulous little park the sports and play areas were great for my two one age 10 and my youngest is 7 and our friends who invited us along with them for the weekend to try out their new 10 berth tent have children of the same age they had fun on the play area and the sports courts as well. The amusements were ideal for families as they were only small which meant we didn't have to spend a fortune before going into the club house which also we thought was very well dressed and was very clean and tidy which led to a welcome feel about it the staff in general were very friendly and helpful to us. The shower and toilet facilities on the camping and caravan site were exceptionally clean and also had a welcome feel about them however the changing rooms in the bure villiage led a lot to be desired as they were very dirty had broken tiles in the cubicle I used and generally felt unclean and not very nice this is the only complaint I have but will certainly be returning next season as will our friends as we found the yare villiage a very nice place to go for a break 10\10

We had just brought our first caravan and wanted to try it out. We chose breydon water because its not too far away. We arrived early evening and had to check in at the bar. The barman gave us our welcome pack and security told us our pitch number, and gave us rough directions. After driving round the tourers twice we found our pitch. The numbers were painted very small on a small concrete square on the grass. Once we got set up, (thanks very much to the Scottish people in the tent opposite who helped us with our first attempt at putting up our awning!)we decided to have a look around.

The children enjoyed the play area and sport court. During the weekend we went across to the sister park to use the indoor pool. When we got there the pool was shut for nearly 2 hours due to advertised activities. Although it said in the leaflet about these it never gave a time for the pool to shut. Rather than wait we walked back to our site and used the outdoor pool(well the children and husband did, I chose to watch as it looked like rain!). The children enjoyed the slide in the outdoor pool and weren't bothered by the weather. It was a bit of a pain there isnt any changing area near the pool, but the shower block was a short walk away.

We also hired out a family bike on site which was good fun. The food in the pub was ok. On the last night we went over to the clubhouse and caught some of the entertainment. My husband enjoyed the elton john tribute and even the children sang along. Would go again for a short break.

Just back from a 7 day stay here. We arrived and where directed to the warden who was to show us to our pitch. We were with another family and stressed we wished to be sited together which was accommodated. The warden was very friendly and helpful.

The pitch was quite bumpy and devoid of grass in places and the ground was very loose and sandy which made for easy pitching. Not sure I would fancy it in any high winds or really wet weather though! The tracks around the site were mostly dirt and bumpy.

The kids loved the playground and heated outdoor pool and it didn't seem to get to busy. They also enjoyed the rentable bikes etc.

The worst thing about the park where the toilets/showers which were not very clean and the wife was not at all impressed! They seemed rarely cleaned and 2 or 3 times the toilets were blocked. Also towards the end of our stay the bins were literally overflowing with rubbish and people began to pile it next to the bins. It was very busy but this is not acceptable in my mind!

We did book last minute and as already stated in another review they always seem to have availability which is probably not a great sign.

The walk down to the fort is lovely and we visited the pub at the end of the path which also seemed nice. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and enough to keep everyone occupied.

The chinese/chipshop takeaway down the road is very reasonable with large portions(children's portion was 3 battered sausage and large chips and a drink for £3. 50!)

We did visit the club house one evening but it was very busy and there was standing room only drinks were reasonably priced though.
