We just got back from 2 nights here. There were 6 adults and 3 children (2 x 8 year olds and 19 month old). We had a great time! Chilled and sunny. The facilities are fine. You pay for what you get basically. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and there is a security guard that walks around a few times a day.
There is a toilet/shower area which is liveable. If your an extremely hygienic person just take wipes for the toilet and flip flops for the shower - they are not the best but we could still wash! Also a washing up room but take your own bowl and fairy liquid! :) The out door pool was fine! Warm and the kids loved it. You cannot take photographs however! The restaurant was not to be desired! Very small portions and not exactly hot! My advice to anyone going to a place like this is take a bbq (£10 from tesco) and do your own meals!
I felt safe around the camp site which is good. The kids were able to play and there is a park. We unfortunately did not get the chance to go to the entertainment but the bar looked good.
Again. You pay for what you get! I'm definitely going again, but as this was my first time I would definitely take more things for cooking etc.
Its about a 10 minute drive from Great Yarmouth! Not walkable.
Enjoy!

Stayed on the site during an extremely hot week in June. Found the site itself quite clean, but the shower and toilet blocks were unclean most of the stay. The evening entertainment was excellent if you were 2 years old, anything above you would find it boring and embarrassing. The site was really quite all week, Friday then came about and it was packed with teenagers and loud banging music. The swimming pool was small for a large site whilst the other sister site's pool wasn't deep for a proper swim. This site would be adequate for a really young family but for adults in the summer you might find it's a bit too child based.

Stayed at the Bure site but you do have access to all the facilities on the Yare site too.
The camp is mostly static caravans with a small space for tents and caravans. They quote 6m x 6m on the website but our 6.5m x 3m Kyham fit easily with space for windbreak too. Facilities ok - washing up, waste water disposal, laundry, toilets, showers. I didn't like the fact that the ladies toilets were at the back of the block and in the dark whereas the gents wss at the front and well lit. Showers not great but they do the job even if you do have to press the button for water every 5seconds.
Lovely indoor pool that was never too busy, the pool bar didn't ever seem to open though.
Nice pub half a mile away that is easy to walk to and welcoming to children with large beer garden and decent priced food.
Very good value for money as we used Tesco club card vouchers to pay so a free holiday really :)

Hmmmmmmm where do I start?? Firstly I stayed in a tent in the Bure park (the quieter of the two sites) and I'm glad I did as the Yare touring pitches looked a bit of a free for all, and not as planned??
We had an electric pitch, and the pitches were great sizes, and near two blocks of toilets, not the cleanest I've stayed in, but I think that's mainly due to the other campers not the cleaners - why can't people flush chains?
Plenty of hot water in the wash up areas, and we tended to use the shower in the indoor pools rather than the shower blocks, so can't comment on those.
The first night we had some noisy neighbours (till about 3am)and several people complained the next day - but they were warned not to do it again, and they didn't!
The outdoor pool on the Yare site was nicely heated, and the pool staff were very friendly and helpful - would recommend the hamster ball - only £3 for 6 mins!
The site is about 10 mins drive from Great Yarmouth, so I think you'd definitely need a car. Wasn't too keen on Great Yarmouth itself, but would visit again only for the site!
Wouldn't really advise the crazy golf, £5 deposit for the putters and balls, then £1 per person playing and the course was rough as you like to put it politely LOL
We had great weather for the week we stayed, and the only negative thing about our stay was inconsiderate neighbours (which was not in control of the site so can't really knock it!), so would reccommend it to others! We paid for ours with Tesco clubcard vouchers, so found it really good value.

Stayed at Breydon Water (Bure site) for two nights over bank holiday weekend.
I have to say was actually very surprised as went with not huge expectations and in fact was very impressed. Small and friendly site, mostly statics but about 40 large touring pitches right in the centre. Pitches are open but this made it easy to chat with the neighbours (who were lovely which added to the positive experience)
Our daughter (9) and friend (11) loved the indoor pool which was clean and very warm. Nice that you could sit poolside to watch too. Visited the Yare site during the day on Sunday and again found it to be well kept, inviting, good facilities etc. Did not use bar/restaurant but couple next to us did and said they enjoyed the entertainment. Will def re-visit another time, was good value for money at only £50 for two nights over a bank holiday. Also Park Resorts offer a loyalty scheme where if you stay 6 nights you get two free so may check out a few more of their locations too.

We arrived at the park on Friday afternoon at about 4pm and were greeted by very friendly and helpful reception staff.
They said that we could choose whichever pitch we wanted so long as we stayed within our allocated pitch. The pitch itself was reasonably flat and roomy. There was more than enough room for the tent and 2 cars and they didn't charge us for the second car either.
The showers were clean and we didn't have to wait. The washing up facilities were equally good.
There were plenty of standpipes for cold water on the touring field.
The Saturday was a lot busier, but not overcrowded.
The swimming pool was fantastic. We went on a very hot weekend and the outdoor pool was lovely and clean. If the weather had been worse, we could have used the indoor pool on the neighbouring Park Resorts camp.
The food was well priced and very good. The children's food was also good as were the refillable drinks.
We didn't get to sample the entertainment as the club was so busy and we arrived late, which is not unusual at holiday camps.
We paid £56 for the pitch which was for 2 nights in the summer holidays and was for 3 adults and 4 children which I think was a bargain.
We loved it so much here that we will be going back as soon as the weather allows!

We arrived at this site and were told we could pick any electric pitch that was empty which was nice as we could roughly choose where abouts we wanted to be. We choose to be in between the 2 toilet blocks.
The toilet blocks are not the nicest and rarely get the toilet roll and soap dispensers filled, which is quite annoying first thing in the morning when taking your children to the toilet.
We stayed on the Yare village side and to be honest wish we stayed on the Bure side as we found it to be very noisy late at night(especially when you have security sorting out problems next to your tent in the middle of the night, which happened twice on our four night stay.)
The clubhouse is very small with limited space and each night we entered could never find a seat or standing room (it was also very hot inside).
The general surroundings of the site are kept very tidy and well maintained, staff are very friendly and I suppose the price is reasonable.

Just returned from last minute booked 4 nights at this site. We were on the quieter Bure village site. On arrival were told that we could go to any of the available pitches with electric this was nice to have the choice. Pitch was good size and we had room for both cars. Site was clean and tidy although my son did get some dog mess on his shoes while out playing. Toilets were not the best and the men's had a problem with overflowing urinal, but we also had a disabled child with us and the facilities for him were super and very clean. Great Yarmouth was not too far away and the gemstone has to be Gorleston Beach superb! Pleasurewood hills only 30 minutes away but not very well signposted on route.
All in all for the price we paid we had a good base for our break, kids loved the indoor pool. I would recommend the Bure village if you like it a bit quieter as the Yare is busier.

We arrived at the Yare Village site on Friday afternoon, very warm welcome from the receptionist, and trying hard to sell us a static unit! We had the choice of pitches, we opted for a spot between the two shower blocks. After setting up the outfit and hooking up the power and connecting the water, I checked out the main shower block, nice and clean, with plenty of hot water and a plastic chair in each shower. The Yare mill entertainment centre was pleasant,Barman Ross and his neck tattoos were very accommodating! Nice pool area, but closes at 17:30! not that we used it.
On two occasions we caught the number 7 bus into Great Yarmouth which takes about 35 mins and costs £3.00 return or £4 for a rover ticket, the buses run every hour, or every 20 mins down to the other end of the village. We took the last bus back from town which is very livley and they only put on a small bus and it gets very crowded with youngsters.
The nearest pub is a pleasant walk down to the Marina, its a long walk and took us about 15 mins, but what a fine pub, right on the quayside, very unspoilt and worth the walk.
The little shop on site is also a post office, but ok for getting in the emergency supplies, as with all site shops, expensive. I would rate this site 8/10.

Arrived on Friday lunchtime in ready for the Bank Holiday. All good, check in went well and very informative. Arrive on site and was helped on to pitch with no problems. We set up camp and settled down. This is a big site. We found the toilet blocks a little under par. One set the water was far too hot and the other set the water was cold. A little dated and not the cleanest we have found but we did use them. The club house we were quiet impressed with. It seems as if it has been revamped recently and you could tell. Smart and clean without that stale smoke smell or sticky carpets. Lots of teenagers around so seems a good place to hang out for the kids. A nice outdoor pool with surrounding area and again a revamped bar area. On site shop very basic but has the essentials. Mainly level pitches and grass well kept. All staff on hand seem happy and friendly enough. I would say a good family site. A little far to Gt Yarmouth though. A good pub just 10 minutes walk down the road.
