We have just came back from our family holiday with our two children. The clubhouse has been refurbished which looks lovely however it is a lot smaller and cannot accommodate the amount of people on the Bure & Yare sites.
Our caravan was pitched on Bure and since our visit last year the toilets are still not any cleaner and there is still no shower curtains in the showers so your clothes still get wet. The park was untidy and need to be modernised in places. Upon speaking to some people who own their own static caravans.
Park Resorts who own the site are apparently making the Bure touring park into static caravans only. Therefore you will have no other choice but to stay on Yare park. The weather was wet but it was a Bank Holiday weekend ! The children were kept amused by the indoor swimming pool.

We visited this site in the kids holidays on the Yare part, took ages getting there about 5 hrs, even though the sat nav said 3hrs not a chance and watch out of the roundabouts in great yarmouth they haven't a clue how to use them. The site it's self is miles away not in walking distance. Our pitch was an electric one which was pretty standard except for the massive tents and large caravan's round you which took too much room and then left out tent with none. The bar area wasn't bad, however the main room was ok if you like it mega loud and kids running round out of control! The toilet blocks were a fair walk from our tent which wasn't too good, however don't use the showers in the small block as the main block showers are miles better. Also a point to cover is the life guards on the pool don't keep an eye on the kids, make sure you do. Tried the fish shop on site wasn't bad but could be better. If your looking for a pub outside the site, just turn left and follow the road to the end and there is a pub there not sure what it's like as never went in. All in all the site was fine and the kids really enjoy themselves, and it's worth the money you pay. I've stayed at better but then again i've stayed at a lot worse, give it a go!

Having visited this site three times this year. You have a choice of either Bure or Yare villages where you can pitch your tent or caravan.
On all occasions we stayed on Bure which has the indoor swimming pool and a small club and shop which is the quieter village.
We found the toilets and showers to be ok however my only complaint is that when you have a shower your clothes get wet as there is no shower curtain.
However on the other side of the road is Yare village it has the outdoor pool with a small amusement arcade, large club where they provide all the children's entertainment.
The site was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Stayed on the Yare site for three nights plenty of room but became a little more crowded as the weekend progressed. Very helpful staff in reception and on park. Some great walks around the Castle ruins and broad much enjoyed by the dog. £25 per night plus £3 for dog.Indoor Swimming pool in adjacent camp good, little cold in outside pool. Toilets were excellent as were showers although as with others water little too hot There is a small shop (post office) just outside site which had useful camping spares. Nice fish & Chip Shop on site chap prices (cheaper than one outside anyway!). Adults avoided the entertainment but teenagers adored it. Bar fairly pricey ! Breakfasts available only £1.99. Crazy Golf £1 Campers were friendly would go again mostly because kids were happy. Bure site much quieter. Good Wetherspoons pub in Yarmouth. Kids did Pleasurewood Hills adventure park. Lots to do in area including crabbing in the Broad.

We have just returned from a week at this site in a touring caravan. The facilities were pretty much as described on their website if a little smaller than they were portrayed. The majority of the site is touring caravans and tents but there are only 2 toilet/shower blocks. The water in the showers was always warm (sometimes too hot!) but the toilets themselves were filthy. One morning we did see somebody in there cleaning, however she was wearing high heels and had a handbag slung over her shoulder so you can imagine that she wasn't doing a very good job of it. Overall I would say it is a good family site if you have your own facilities for washing but certainly wouldn't recommend it for campers.

RECEPTION: Friendly but not too quick on booking in campers ( solo ). I needed I.D not sure what for though. FIELD: The field was quite spacious and each tent had a generous plot ( non-hook up ). The field was clean and tidy. TOILETS (MALE ): Toilets were well maintained and kept clean, the thing that let them down was there was no hot running water for the sinks and there was a noticable gap between the sinks and surfaces. This block could do with a little work. WASH AREA: The wash area for pots and pans had plenty of hot running water. ENTERTAINMENT: The entertainment could do with a resident D.J as I feel that the girls that were doing the D.J-ing didnt know what to do. Kids entertainment was ok. I personally thought it would be better and there is a possibility I will go back to the site for a short break as 4 nights was just ample. Prices were the thing that suprised me the most as they were reasonable which made all the difference. Overall I would give this site a 5/10

Me and my partner have just came back from the site we spent last weekend at Breydon Water in our tent. I wouldn't rate this site at all, being regular camping folk we have visted alot of camp sites mainly around North Yorkshire nearer to home. After a 5 hour drive we arrived the non - electric camping area is not very nice looking and very small. The toilet and shower block were appalling the worst I've ever been to in fact. Considering this is the first time I've been to one run by a company I was very disappointed. I think i'll just stick to family farm run camp sites from now on. We walked into the entertainment and walked straight back out again. Even though we never eat in the restaurant the menu seemed good value for money, and there was alot of choice. We visted the site to see Great Yarmouth. Having last been as a kid it hadn't changed, it was fantastic just as I can remember. We went to the model village absolutely fantastic! but the highlight of our weekend, and a definite must if you visit Great Yarmouth is Yarmouth stadium stock car racing, it was the best 3 hours of entertainment we have ever had and its on every Sunday night. If we had more time I would have loved to visit the Norfolk broads. I would give this site a awful 3/10 but the surrounding area 9/10 there's alot to do!

Ive been here 3 times now and every time has been good nice people and friendly campers ( left water hose on the floor and someone ran after us with it ) Great location and more to do there than on most sites and baby loved it to. We had 3 ducks befriend us half way through and came back everyday to see our kiddy I would recommend this site as the staff are all friendly including reception staff they even remembered us this time. Great walks good pubs near by and if you like long walks you can get to Yarmouth along Breydon Water - this took us 1 and a half hours and you can get a bus back

We have just come back from spending 6 nights at this great site. The cost of this was only £41 for our van & awning, this included £1 per night for the dog. The toilets were very clean and hot water in the showers was always available. The site is set in a beautiful location with the Fishermans pub only a short 10 minute walk away along the side of the broad. We found the site through ukcampsite and we were thrilled with our choice. This was the first outing in our new (to us) van and we are now looking for a site in the Llanberis area of Wales for our next outing in June.

Just had a week long break just to get away from it all. We used the site mainly as a base to explore from. We stayed on YARE village which is the livelier site of the two (OUTDOOR pool). BURE village is it's sister site (where the INDOOR pool is). The site is basic in it's offerings BUT, has enough to keep the majority entertained throughout. We used the indoor pool each day (ADULTS ONLY from 09:00 to 10:00). After that, it's open to everybody to use from both sites.
There are some nice walks to be taken from the site along the river front and to a pub (about 10 minutes walk from the site taking in the ruins of Burgh Castle along the way). If you like CAR BOOT SALES there is a regular one every SUNDAY 2 miles away (JULIE'S) which starts at 06:00. As commented on in earlier threads, the showers are OK but on this stay, the water was TOO hot. I coped but I would be concerned for children.
We didn't use the club but we did have a look inside and it has been totally refurbished since our last visit (when England beat Germany 5-1) There is a childrens play park (for the toddlers) and a caged in area for the "teens" so they can entertain themselves still within "eyesight" of the majority of the tourers.
I'd guess it would seem pretty hemmed in at peak season and the site organisation left a little to be desired on our stay but I'm guessing they'll improve their act before things get really hectic. We don't usually stay on "family" sites any more as we have spoiled ourselves using "Adult only" sites for the last 18 months but this would fit the bill for any family holiday.
There are plenty of things to go and see and plenty of places to visit. Not one we will visit again for the reasons of "Adult only" experiences but one we would recommend for families or those looking for a site with clubs and swimming pools.
