Just arrived back from 7 day stay here. On arrival staff friendly and seemed impressive site.
Shown to pitch which are ok size but poor, worse Ive had divets, no grass and a kind of hard dusty ground the type that turns to mud with little rain.
The circular track that circles the camp field is a bumpy dirt track, we had a good weather week would hate to be here in rain. Toilets were dirty all the time even after cleaning still smelt badly of pee (recommend using different mop for dirty toilets as in round rim and then showers ooh), pot washing facilities were poor no plugs taps not working etc and the showers although no wait just about did job luke warm dribble. The indoor pool is actually on the sister site and unless you like hiking should not be advertised as a facility for this site. The outdoor pool is actually ok with a good water temp although no changing room. We did have a drink in clubhouse which was nice but really expensive so never went back. Football court good and children's play area above average with hire out of family fun bikes really good. There was no rowdy behaviour here and was patrolled at night by nice staff talking to them they know there was problem in past and seemed to have addressed it.
Location of site 15/2omin drive to Yarmouth local Tesco Express 5 min down road also out the back of the site is two nice walks with really nice waterside pubs in each direction.
The Yarmouth area is great for attractions wet or dry with Hemsby being my favourite and will swap area for usual Devon/Dorset but not at this site . In summary you can make best and did enjoy my holiday but overpriced at 300 for the week school holidays or not. Food for thought we booked last minute and so did a lot of our neighbours we could not get in anywhere this site always seems to have availability

Had a few days here earlier in the year in our touring caravan and it seemed ok, went back for a very short break and what a disappointment. The tourers and tents were packed in tighter then sardines in a tin. The touring field was covered with litter and although we were promised it would be cleaned up it never was. The toilets and shower blocks were not what you would expect from a site run by a major company ( park resorts). The entertainment was OK but the bar was overpriced. Best thing about this trip was the meal from the on site restaurant ( thai red curry). Wont be visiting this site again.

Booked our holiday here before reading reviews. To be honest, we probably wouldn't have booked if we had. Now we have stayed here I would be returning. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's not the best site I have ever been on, and it does need some more work. But all in all we enjoyed our stay.
Nobody answered the phone for their takeaway service. There is a Chinese takeaway shop just up the road and the portions were huge. They also do the normal chippy food, so something for everyone.
On arrival the warden asked where we wanted to pitch. After reading the reviews I said 'not at the bottom of the hill'. He laughed and asked if we had been before.
A couple of days later he was showing round a new member of staff and pointed out the pitches that flood, so they are definitely aware of the problem. Makes sure you don't get those ones and I think you'll be fine.

Stayed there with My O. H in The Yare village, found the Reception staff friendly and professional.
The one thing I did get frustrated with was ringing up for a Takeaway on site( yes very lazy I know LOL)
I rang three times no reply then left a message including My mobile number. Time was getting on so I walked down there. I stood at the back where the food was served having not been there before for the young lady to ignore. I walked down a spoke to the guys at the bar explaining how rude she was. I also explained about having no call re a Takeaway only to be told politely I might add they wait until they get a message from Security ! LOL.
Next night we had a guy come round from local Chinese which we went ahead with they delivered to Reception. I might add the the Fish n chips would have been cheaper.
All in all I would stay there again.

After staying on this site in june 2009 I swore never to return again it was like holiday from hell. I left a bad review of this site which I'm now contradicting. Due to low cost we decided to give it another try fri 1st to monday 4th and ended up staying an extra night, couldn't believe how different it was. We arrived 9pm at night and was asked if we wanted to pick our own pitch, which we did to my delight, made sure we were near to pool, club and park so could keep an eye on kids.
toilets and showers were cleaned at least twice a day, outdoor pool lovely and clean, kids went in everyday. Staff were really friendly. Other people on site said how it had changed, only gripe I had was the price of drinks in the club rather expensive but you cant have everything I suppose, all in all we cant wait to go back there.

Returned from this site yesterday after a interesting experience.
Upon arrival was very impressed by facilities and friendliness of staff.
Is a very open site so very difficult to pitch in winds and gusts!
Toilets on arrival on the Thursday were immaculate however they were not cleaned again during my stay of 4 nights and with use of lots of people that don't agree with flushing! soon became very unpleasant to use.
The play ground on site was fairly good but in need of a little tlc. However the crazy golf was good value for money.
The club house although small was a great layout however everything including the bingo was very expensive.
Has no over night security so is very noisy with lots of anti social behaviour.
On the plus side there is a small shop just off site that had great customer service and some very helpful advice! Great local area though with lots of things to do!

Stayed two nights at this site as a base to visit Pleasurewood Hills theme park. Check in was poor, pitch should have been available at 12:00 midday but receptionist said warden was at lunch and we would have to wait until 1:00pm. Waited until 1:30 and went back to reception to complain he still hadn't arrived. Was told he was on his way and eventually another 15 mins later he did appear and said without apology 'pitch up wherever you want' !. The park was very loud in the evening with shouting still going on at midnight. The clubhouse / bar was a good size and kids liked the entertainment but drinks were overpriced. Pool was in need of some maintenance as lots of cracked tiles and black mould. Toilets & showers were large but badly maintained. No soap in sink soap dispensers for 2 days and standard of cleaning poor. Site is well positioned but let down by lack of maintenance and staff.

I went on holiday with my fiance and future mother-in-law.
We had requested a caravan with disabled facilities and this was accepted at the booking time.
We were shown where to find our caravan, it was practically brand new with wheelchair access a wide corridor between bedrooms, of which there were two, and wide doors to the bedrooms and shower.
Unfortunately the caravan had not been hooked up to the water, we were given the wrong one.
After moving to the caravan next door, with help from the staff, we started our holiday again.
The facilities included pools, play areas, bar restaurant, arcade, cabaret, and on site shop.
All were well used and popular.
We did not eat on site, but spent most of our holiday in Great Yarmouth.
We went to the Model Village, Sea Center, Cinema, Shopping Arcade, and Beach.
We also travelled and explored the area up and down the coast, but by far Great Yarmouth had most to do at this time of year.

First Impressions of the site were mixed, the children's playground near the entrance looked really good, lots of climbing frames, swings and things for the young ones, but it was surrounded by a high wirebound fence that just looked wrong. The reception looked ok, but there was a lack of information. On other sites I've been to there is a chalk board with the latest weather and what activities are on and where you can book them but not here.
We were directed to our pitch, we had a large tent and the site had kindly reserved us a space. The neighbour had parked their car on the pitch but a polite conversation later and it was moved off.
Electric hook up was convenient.
The ground was very soft and didn't hold the tent pegs well, I think the whole area has sandy soil but no fault of the campsite, it just made pitching the tent a lot more difficult.
Eventually we settled in, had a BBQ and enjoyed our first night. Considering this was the peak of the summer holidays there wasn't that much noise and everyone seemed really friendly.
Exploring the grounds we found that the public areas for children to play in were in good condition. There is a concrete based 5 a-side pitch/ basket ball court surrounded by a high fence to keep the footballs in which was popular with the young teenagers. The childs playground as mentioned above was also good. The main building with the pool, and entertainment complex looked relatively new, however the rest seemed to be in need of modernisation.
When it rained the campsite suffered a lot. It seemingly gets flooded very easily and the soft ground gets even softer. Several pitches were abandoned due to waterlogging while we were there and some people had their tents and awnings blown down. When our tent got partially blown over some kind neighbours had stacked some of our storage boxes on the porch to stop it blowing away and had repegged the main tent.
The roads in the Yare village area are potholed. During the rain they fill up rapidly and in some instances then overflow onto pitches that are just down the slope.
The Shower blocks are fine, no queuing that I found even though the site looked full. As mentioned in other reviews the floor gets very muddy. This can be remedied by improving the site to include gravel paths from the sites roads to the shower blocks. The floor mats at the entrances to the shower blocks are too small and too thin (cheap) to catch the dirt from muddy shoes. There is also no signage to encourage people to mop their shower cublicles after use. Although a mop and bucket is left behind the water was as brown as the mud outside and I doubt it had seen a spot of bleach.
There is signage offering you the chance to buy a static caravan on site, which appears to be the only public information available other than the welcome pack.
The entertainment centre has an arcade, a room with a bar and stage and a room with a bar and eating area.
Outside is a small pool and seating area. This was very busy, lots of children were 'bombing' into the pool. As we were taking our seats with our two year old ready to strip him off to get in the kiddy pool we were drenched when these kids decided they would do angled jumps designed to splash water over us. On the first occasion you can be forgiven for a bit of a laugh, when they all did it again one kid misjudged his jump and nearly ended up headbutting the concrete edge of the pool. We still got soaked and the kid nearly lost his teeth, it was only by luck that he managed to twist in mid flight to avoid the pool side. We looked to the lifeguard to restore a bit of order and keep the kids safe. Lets just say they were not interested, they struck me as too immature to deal with the parents and children who were making other people uncomfortable. Eventually the lifeguard mumbled something and turned his back on us. Next to the pool was a large stereo perched on a plastic seat pumping out dance music at an ear rending volume. We decided it wasn't going to be much fun and went to the other sister site village to swim in their indoor pool. What a complete change, no deafening music and responsible staff who were polite and assertive with people who got carried away. We also noticed that the roads here had been recently resurfaced. While probably quieter than the other site this had a lot more of a quality feel.
The bar is overpriced, a glass of cheap chardonnay, a pint of lager and a j2o cost £9.70. We decided we would eat elsewhere.
The entertainment room was packed and we noticed that the kids entertainment went on quite late for young ones. As there was no chalk board up explaining the activities and entertainment we decided not to hang around to see what was happening as we couldn't get a seat.
I probably wont take my family back to this location. We don't mind a bit of rain, the week we were there however it rained a lot and the site was saturated. We left with 3 days still to go having stayed there for 6 days already.

Stayed at Yare Village on the Breydon Water site and found most staff unfriendly and unwilling. Dirty showers/toilet blocks during relatively dry weather. Our first night we had to pitch our tent with guy ropes overlapping our neighbours and the pitches had little grass on them. Unwholesome language and behaviour from a number of fellow campers and lack of security response to ease our anxieties once faced with situations leaving us to feel vulnerable in our tent in the early hours of the morning ie 2am. Even had to text security due to no response when phoning them. Entertainment is of poor calibre and drinks expensive. Did not try any food here. We noticed an outdoor pool with someones cutlery on the floor of the pool. What was lovely was the fabulous walk along the river near the Roman fort accessed at the rear of the campsite
