A Great weekend spent with my son camping at the Manifold Valley Campsite.

Would highly recommend for couples and families alike.

Location is great.

The campsite is in a lovely setting right by a shallow river, national trust cafe and has clean toilets. Cold water only, which was fine with us. But the noise from other camper’s ruined it for us, I have a 5 and 3 year old.

We were kept up both nights by other people playing music and shouting till gone 1am.

There were notices on facilities that there was a 10pm loud noise curfew but this was ignored and no one came to tell them to quieten down.

I wouldn’t camp here again only because of other campers and lack of rules that ruined our stay.

Owners are lovely. So friendly.

Great for a weekend camping trip but due to no washing facilities it’s not suitable for longer than a weekend.

Great location with no signal (which is good at times).

Lovely site with lots of lovely walks, would definitely stay again,

Only downside was amount of campers letting their dogs off lead around the site, a problem for us as our dog is not friendly so obvs on lead at all times

Fantastic location, friendly farmer wife, very good value, possibly too cheap!

Excellent produce from the farm shop. Highly recommended

Lovely large camping field beside the river, with minimum organisation, and very reasonably priced.

The area was very rural and with no phone signal we felt very much away from it all. We enjoyed walking or simply soaking up our surroundings. There were some cheeky hens who kept us entertained, very bold, one even helped herself to our dinner cooking on the stove!

Toilets were clean and well stocked all the time and there was a washing up sink and drinking water tap. Some of the family groups seemed to think loud music was needed to enjoy the surroundings but they were not too near and did abide by the 10pm curfew.

For a short break with lovely walks on the doorstep I would definitely camp again. Could stay longer if there was a shower block but then the price would need to increase.

Great campsite with great facilities and very friendly owners.

Everything you need on site.

Lots of local walks and a pub within walking distance.

Would definitely go again.

Excellent experience again. No phone signal which is great if you want to properly get away. Plenty of walking nearby suitable for all capabilities.

Dog friendly but please be aware that there are chickens and some ducks wandering around. No showers but for a short break this isn't a problem.

Excellent value at £6 per person and no extra for the dogs.

Fantastic site, 3 fields, basic toilets but very clean. Washing up sink, drinking water tap.

The lady who you go to pay at the farmhouse is really pleasant and helpful.

The atmosphere at the site is great, plenty of families there and we found all campers are quiet by 10pm as said.

For children, the site is brilliant with so much space for them to play and run around. Wetton mill cafe and tea room right on the doorstep as well as thors cave. The kids can feed the ducks or have a paddle.

Overall, for £6. 00 pppn with a tent, great value for money.

We will be back! Thank you.

Lovely campsite right next to the Manifold River.

There's two fields to camp in, the large field which is pure grass and has more than enough space to stretch out and for kids to play and there's a small field which is less busy but has the toilet block, wash sink and drinking water tap on it.

The toilets are very clean and looks to be cleaned regularly.

There's a small rope swing over the river which was fun for the kids (river is only a few inches deep at that part).

Site is a mile or so from Thor's cave which is a great tourist spot but is quite a trek up many stone steps.

A little tip for the site is to take flip flops or waterproof shoes as the grass can get a bit dewy in the morning and late evening which can soak your trainers when walking about.

Also, there is NO mobile signal at all within 4 or 5 miles of the site in most directions so bare this in mind if you like to update your social media whilst there.

To be honest, I loved not having any signal so I could put the phone away for a couple of days and enjoy the outdoors.

The scenery is one of the best features though, waking up to scenic views is really great.

Overall a very good experience and we expect to return again.
