We had a group trip here with 7 other families in early September. You could not ask for a more perfect site.
Really helpful owners, beautiful views, river for the kids to splash in and on the manifold trail.
Basic, clean toilet block. Great price.
We have a small caravan but I was advised not to bring that due to the road in and small bridge.
Good advice! But for tents and camper and, perfect!

Great campsite right next to the river. 2 large fields on the site, the first was a little more lively then the other but the second was really lovely, quite and remote almost.
We came from Sheffield just for the night to walk up to thors cave. From the campsite you're there within 30 minutes with stunning views of the valley.
If you're hungry as well there's also a little safe with cakes and drinks on site as well. As a treat we decided to get 3 ice creams and 3 of the homemade cakes which late at night in the tent goes down a treat.
10/10 would go again.

A beautiful location, lovely atmosphere, fabulous walks and a tea room next to the campsite.
We loved it.
The children played in the river and we were able to relax.
We will be back soon.

This place is a hidden gem,
Fantastic location,
So much space to choose your own pitch,
Log fires, stream, hills, tranquil,
No showers but for a few days adult wipes will do.
Will definitely be going back.

Lovely peaceful site at the bottom of a valley.
Lots of space and friendly owner.
Toilets and washing up facilities only very good price and nice to only pay per person as a solo traveler 👍

A lovely cut grass field, edged by the river with views of the surrounding hills.
The toilet block was clean and simple and water and washing up sink was great.
We were visited by the ducks, enjoyed the swallow's swooping over the grass and the kids loved playing in and next to the river.
Perfect place to base for walks nearby, thors cave and Ecton etc.
We loved it. Thanks.

Loved the freedom to pitch where we liked, minimal noise and amazing location.
Kids enjoyed the rope swings.
Local cafe serves bacon and sausage cobs but only at wknds.
Stream is great for kids paddling.
Enjoyed walk to Thors Cave too.

Great site, no times to come or go, just turn up and pick a place to camp. Dogs allowed, and don't have to be on leads all the time, which is nice if your dog is well behaved.
Lovely shallow river for the kids to play in with rope swings around.
Toilets and water available, always cleaned regularly.
No rules really, just know camping etiquette, quiet from 10pm to 8. 30am which most people respected.
Walks all around and a lovely little tea shop round the corner.
Will definitely be back.

What an amazing setting - right down in the Manifold valley, we had a much needed night away relaxing down by the stream with our camping fire pit.
Despite there being a fair few other campers with tents and vans, we felt like we had our own space in nature.
The owners communicated well and we were made to feel very welcome.
Absolute bargain too at only £7/person/night.
We’ll definitely be back

Breath taking views with serene peace (no phone signal).
Nobody seemed to enforce the 10pm noise curfew, however, our children are 10, 7, and 5 and slept soundly.
They played and played and played in the stream and on the rope swings.
We will be booking again. Thank you.
