Beautiful location and surrounding area, plenty of room, very easy going,
Toilets were really clean and regularly replenished,
Bacon and sausage sandwiches available on sat and Sun morning,
Nearby pub deliver food,
Overall one of the best we have stayed at, lovely vibe.

This is a real hidden gem! If you don’t mind basic facilities (no showers) then there’s really nothing not to like.
Set in a hidden valley by a river that kids can play in, just by Wetton teahomes and with sights like Thor’s cave nearby.
Relaxed and friendly host. Plenty of space. Blissful!

A warm welcome on arrival
3 fields to choose from we chose the furthest and parked by the stream. It’s a great campsite with toilets and water to fill up.
BBQs and small camp fires are allowed
Views and walks are amazing we will be returning soon
Thank you

Fantastic site, friendly owner and in a beautiful spot! The views are fantastic and only a short walk to Thor’s cave!
We will definitely be back.
Only one downside would be the one shared toilet for the camp, but that isn’t a biggie.

It’s utterly beautiful. When we arrived we couldn’t believe our luck! The family who run the site are so friendly and lovely with big welcoming smiles. We pitched away from the stream at the top of the site and are so pleased we did.
The views were 360 incredible. The stream was perfect for an afternoon of splashing about, dam building and fun. The Wetton tea rooms do delicious bacon butties and Felix the cat was generous letting the kids stroke him.
Thor’s cave was breath taking. Only half an hour walk away, my 5 year old managed it.
Only thing was no showers and one toilet for ladies and one for men but the site are clear about this when booking. Not a big deal. We loved it and hope to return soon.

We had a fantastic time. We set up camp right next to a stream, which my 7 year old thought was wonderful for paddling in. Lovely tea room right next door.
Thor’s cave about a 15 minute walk down the road. Couldn’t of been a more perfect location.
Toilets were very well kept and clean. Great campsite.

Lovely location, tucked away in the Manifold Valley, beside Wetton Mill but the site is private and not too close to the Mill. A nice basic site, no WiFi, phone signal or electric hook up so ideal for a complete break away. A 10pm quiet curfew which works well.
Basic toilets and washing facilities but cleaned very regularly and Covid cautious. Lovely hosts. Lovely views and lots of walks to enjoy including Thors cave. Very good value.
The pubs in the local villages were doing takeaway meals as well, not sure if this was just due to Covid or is a regular occurance.
Be aware that to get into the Valley the roads are very narrow and can be busy with walkers / cyclists on a sunny day, so may take some time to get down to the site.
Would definitely visit again.

Peaceful, natural site, close to Wetton Mill Tearooms. Large Basic Field with clean toilets, water and washing up area on site.
Plenty of lovely walks and cycle tracks nearby. Easy 30 walk to Thors Cave, steep and stony but worth the effort.
Well located for drive to Dovedale and Ilam.
