2nd time iv been. £13 per night inc ehu and showers. Toilets very clean. Lovely female warden. If you have tv then beware the trees as you won't get reception. Ask if good reception pitches are available. Only a few min walk into town but whilst in the site you wouldn't think you are so close. Recommend the TOPKAPI takeaway on newcastle st ( turn right out of the site then immediate left ) just 200yrds from the site. Beware 90degree turn in as you cross the bridge. No kids play area ( that iv seen )local tesco asda sainsburies etc. Cricket club next to the site which welcomes site visitors. Great site for the money and thoroughly recommend.

Nice little site. A bit tight getting our RV in and out but a little care and some supportive eyes helped.
The warden we dealt with was incredibly friendly and helpful and for this reason alone we would go back.
The site itself is of a reasonable standard with more than adequate facilities. Shower cost an extra £1 but you got a long time.
We were only here for a couple of nights and went into Worksop on the Saturday. Sadly a few too many empty shops but not horrendous; we went to the park in the centre of town and this was very nice.
Went for a bike ride Sunday along the canal and around a fishing lake and it was very pleasant.

Pretty decent site. Could be a little tricky to access with a caravan as there is a tricky side street and turn to negotiate. Should be ok with care though. Warden was friendly and helpful. Site was quite a pleasant surprise being so close to a town centre. But it was surrounded by trees and the only thing I could here was the sound of birds (and a pigeon).
Facilities are fairly basic but perfectly functional. Site was clean, tidy and well maintained.
We used this site to cycle to Clumber park which is about 3-4 miles away. There are some quite roads and tracks around the park so well worth a trip of you enjoy cycling or walking. Would happily recommend if you fancy it as a stop off or a base from which to explore the near by forests, peaks or shopping centres.

Our third visit an ideal spot for us so close to town and buses to Doncaster shopping centre, Chesterfield and Retford. On arrival we had to wait for someone to let us in all though we had given a time of arrival luckily one of the other visitor opened the barrier for us. The toilet was still very clean but a bit chilly and the flowers didn't appear til we were ready to leave. The weather was very wet but did not cause too many problems with our pitch some were wet but soon drained. There is no laundry and only one wash up sink and no shop but so close to town that this was not a problem. We will be back because of where it is situated but will make it in warmer weather.

Commercial site just on the edge of town, but very quiet. Just a few minutes walk from the site to lots of shops / cafes / bars. Close to the Chesterfield canal for a walk. Go to the nearby library and get a street map and local guide leaflets.
Site is hard standings all over, level, sheltered, not too overcrowded. Good toilet/shower block, usual water and waste facilities, excellent resident wardens.
I paid £18pn for two with EHU (10 amp), awning, parking inclusive. Visitors have to pay, which isn't unusual. Downside is that showers cost £1, which many feel should be included for £18. It's still cheaper than most CC sites. Also the sharp bend over a bridge at the exit is tricky for larger units.
We'd certainly go again, even though it's close to home.

Booked the site as it is only half an hour away. Read the reviews and hoped for the best - we were not disappointed.
A small site in the middle of a town does not sound as though it would be relaxing and quiet but it was. If you like shopping there is plenty to choose from - some really good shops and a little market.
Really clean and well kept, people were all friendly and helpful.
There were fresh flowers in the shower/toilets so it was not a one off.
The only thing that caught us out with being new at this was the fact that we had no 'hard' ground pegs for the awning, luckily the people we were with had and didn't need them. Note to self - buy some before the next outing.
Will definitely visit it again. Had a great weekend.

We selected this site as a venue for a family get-together on the basis of previous positive reviews. Looking at it on Google, we all wondered whether we'd done the right thing as it seems to be crammed into the town centre of Worksop. We need not have worried at all; it's a little gem.
The welcome we received was very warm and accommodating. Indeed, throughout our stay, the warden could not have been more helpful.
Despite being a mix of tents and caravans, we were given adjacent pitches. These were on a well-kept flat grassed area (no problem getting pegs in - the ground was stone-free) and were very generous in size. All had electric hook ups.
The site is very well looked after, including the toilet blocks, and has plenty of taps and waste bins.
A short walk past the adjacent cricket ground brings you into the centre of Worksop with a good range of shops. There are several cafes and take-aways within three minutes' walk and lots of pubs serving food within 10 minutes' walk. Despite the proximity of the town, you are not aware of it on site apart from a little road noise.
As with other reviewers, I was a little disppointed to have to pay £1 for the showers as the site fees are not in the 'budget' range.
Be aware that the site isn't ideal for those with active children as ball games and cycling are not permitted and there is no play area.
I would happily return to this site.

We have just returned from our first outing with this van, we chose this site because it is only 40 miles from home and we have friends in the area.
I have to say what a an absolutely fantastic site we chose. It is very surprising and feels very rural, but in reality, the town centre is only a few hundred yards away!
The entrance to the site is quite tricky, well it was the exit I found harder, don't know why, turn left at the carpark, over the little bridge, sharp left down the side of the cricket pitch and follow the road around the Social club and into the Riverside Caravan Park. The cricket club welcomes the site users and is very nice.
The toilets and showers are spotless, the showers do cast a £1 but I didn't feel I was being robbed when I used them!
The whole site is extremely tidy and welcoming, there was some dogs but all were on leads and were cleaned up after, ours included. There are rabbits running around the site as well as moorhens popping up from the river besides the park.
The pitches are huge and there are both grass and hard standing/gravel.
I must point out the need for long electric cables as the hook up points are widely spaced between the pitches.
The cost for 2 adults, 2 dogs, is £18 this included the awning and electric hook up, what a bargain.
Worksop itself also surprised us, a lovely market and lots of very reasonably priced eateries and pubs. £1. 10 a pint for John Smiths ! Breakfasts available for the crazy amount of £3. 00 !
Will we be using this site again ? Too right we will, a gem of tranquillity amongst the hustle and bustle of a market town.
If I was allowed to give more than 10/10 we would !

Well what a surprise! When driving up to the site you go through a side road in the town and think your going wrong, turn through a car park over a bridge pass a cricket pitch and hay presto! a haven!
A spotless site! Grass immaculate! Toilets clean and fresh flowers. A bit chilly but it was frosty in the morning. Had to pay for showers which always bugs me, not the cheapest site so feel they should be included.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Excellent Indian restaurant in walking distance, as are lots of pubs and shops, really no need to drive
Would def return if needed to stay in area again. Saw dogs but all on leads and no poo spotted!

A real secret hideaway. Really helpful staff and well laid out site right near the town. They were nearly full and we had trouble finding an empty pitch with electric but soon realised that there were 4 sockets on one post between 4 pitches so problem soon solved. Map did not make these very clear as ours was behind another motorhome. The noisiest dawn chorus I've ever heard. We only stayed one night as visiting family locally but would return again. Don't see reason for charging £1 for shower when you've already paid for pitch, have found other sites include shower in cost. Fresh flowers in block are a lovely touch but I'd prefer the shower cost to be included.
