Riverside Camp Site has to be seen to be believed. You approach the site from a busy road bang in the middle of the town centre. Upon entering the site you would not imagine you were in a town centre at all. Very quiet and well looked after site with lovely flower beds. The grass and pitches are kept immaculate. Even fresh flowers in the shower blocks. We have called there for a few days on returning from Europe for quite a few years now. There are plenty of nice shops in town and a market on Wednesday. Certainly well worth visiting.
Ney. There are plenty of shops in town and a market on Wednesday. Certainly worth a visit.

Campsite is lovely very clean and very very well kept. Cost us £20 for the night which I think is a bit steep we usually pay £12 to £15 and that includes showers. However it's a pound for a shower here and I put my money in and it didn't work so had to pay again to use a different one.
The canal is very open to get to which worried me with the children so I was on edge. The lady owner was very helpful and polite
Worksop town centre is only minutes away.
Would possibly use again in the future

Set in the town centre makes it a bit difficult to access if you have a large unit you have to go through a car park then a sharp turn left then another car park to enter the park.
But once on the park you would never know you are in a town centre it is peaceful and spotless the hard standing pitches have enough room for van. Awning & car.
The showers are spotless and plenty of room to get dry. You may need help when leaving but ask if the gates can be opened we only found out about these when we were all out these lead into the multi storey carpark grounds.
Please don't be put off by this review has this site and its staff are brill if you need to get away without being away from things shop, pubs, etc

Stayed here for two nights at the end of June, (hottest day), price was £18 per night and showers were £1.
Location is spot on as it's just a couple of minutes walk into the town centre. There's plenty of shops to look around but it struck me as to how few food shops or supermarkets there was, so getting something to cook meals is very limited unless you like to shop in a Sainsbury's express!
On the plus side there is a sizzler pub (The Millhouse, cheep beer) at the top of Newcastle avenue just off the roundabout and then further down the road is an English chippy, a Cantonese takeaway and a pizza/ kebab house called the Topkapi of which I can thoroughly recommend the house special (fantastic).
The last time I visited this site it was a frequent stay for fulltimers who went to work at early hours of the morning but now I think the high prices have deterred most, however, £1 for a shower is taking rip off Britain a bit too far.

We spent this weekend at the site to check out a newly purchased Trailer Tent, we chose the site as it is only 20 miles from home - just in case! We have used the site for an over-night visit previously 4 years ago.
The prepared pitches are a good size and offer ample space for a caravan, awning and car parking. The grassed area is level and very well maintained, as is the rest of the site.
The showers and toilets are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness, showers cost £1. 00 to use but for your pound you get ample time to shower a family! There is a reminder on the wall requesting that water is not wasted, perhaps showers prices should be reduced back to 50p and the length of time the showers runs halved?
The town centre is literally a 5-10 mins walk from the site. I indulged in watching the local cricket team play and a few beers on the Saturday afternoon whilst the girls went shopping. Worksop offers everything you would need shops wise. Campsite users are welcome to use the Cricket Club.
All-in-all this site offers everything you would need, you will be mildly surprised when you arrive. If you own a large unit it can be tight to get in but with extreme caution it's not impossible.

Great site, nicely laid out. Lovely warm showers (which have gone up to 50p by the way!) and really helpful wardens. We have stayed here twice now, each time at the back of the site near the canal on the hardstanding - not the most scenic of pitches but quiet - well ok, not bonfire night it wasn't!
This pitch wasn't the best choice for us having 2 dogs as there is fantastic firework display at the Rugby Club, which is the other side of the canal to the site. We stayed on site with our dogs, but our friends went and had a fab time for the minimal entrance fee.
It's a 10 minute walk into Worksop town for shopping and evenings out etc. Access to the canal is just round the corner, which makes a pleasant walk to the pub at the other end which has a lovely garden and serves food.
The only downside for us is the lack of dog walking facilities on site and in the surrounding area - oh yes, and a dog friendly pub within walking distance would be nice. So if anyone knows of one??!

I recently visited this quiet and very pleasant caravan park, the wardens Kathy and Jim are the most helpful and nicest people you could wish to meet, the site is well situated and is perfect for the shops (just around the corner)and convenient for days out like clumber park
The site is kept to a very high standard
The showers and the toilet block are also spotless so didn`t mind paying 20p for a lovely hot shower that lasted ages
Would like to say it is a town center so you would expect a little noise, but after reading reviews I didn`t find it bad at all
I would also like to point out that I have a bailey senator indiana and also tow with a range rover and I had no problem at all getting to the site over the bridge to the cricket club
All in all had a fantastic time and can`t wait to visit the site again,

We have recently returned from an overnight stop on our way to Henley on Thames and stayed at this lovely site which is a little haven in the centre of Worksop. The warden is so pleasant and helpful and made us welcome. The site is quite tranquil even though it was a busy weekend.
The facilities were good, but the only gripe we have is the entrance. It is so tight they can't possibly have not had many issues regarding this. It is the entrance to a Cricket Club and Sports Centre but I can't begin to tell you how bad it was to try to leave the site. It was unbelievably tight. So anyone with quite a good size caravan beware! Otherwise don't hesitate to go.

As previously pointed out don't be put off on entering this site amongst the rows of terraced housing because once there its like a bit of a mini oasis.
Large pitches, next to a cricket club where a warm welcome is extended to campers. Close to town centre with bus depot next door plus take-aways pubs etc. Found a nice, friendly bar on Worksop station platform (Mallards) with good locally sourced real ales and free bar snacks.
Some slight vehicle noise in morning. Paid £16 for two with ehu. Toilets / showers very clean.

This is a really nice little campsite - well laid out and the wardens are really really helpful and friendly. Toilet blocks are clean and tidy - with, as mentioned in other reviews, fresh flowers in the ladies!
The downside is that it is in the middle of the town - handy for the shops, but noisy at night with the sounds of sirens etc.
It's also worth noting that access is a little tight if you have a long unit - we have a 26' caravan and a Range Rover and leaving the site is not for the faint hearted as crossing the bridge over the little river is very tight and took a couple of shunts to manage.
A lot of the vans and campervans on the site appear to be there long term. There is a reasonable amount of noise at 7 in the morning
We enjoyed our long weekend here, and went out to nearby Clumber Park and the Peaks.
