First impressions were good of the campsite, we reported into the nice looking reception and the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful so I was optimistic.
We drove to our pitch and it was average. And at £57 for 2 nights, it certainly wasn't particularly scenic or value for money on first glance, some of the site looks a little run down and they are clearly building more hard-standing pitches so there is a few diggers etc scattered round so the view wasn't great too be honest.
The toilet block was quite nice from a ladies point of view and the showers were nice and warm (push button variety sadly), the shower block itself was clean and heated, with lots of vanity basins and showers.
We didn't use the club house as we had our dog with us so couldn't go in, but it looked like what you would expect from this type of park, bit run down, usual cabaret acts, disco for the teenagers etc.
Now onto the 2 nights sleep that we had or didn't have as the case was. The first night was disturbed due to a loose dog running round barking and then being screeched at by it's owner, plus the delightful sound of some teenagers playing music and shouting till the early hours. So we put it down to a one off until the next night where once again I was kept awake till 3am with the same teenagers but on the second night they decided to add driving round in loud cars to the list of their 'fun' activities ! I spoke to a few families the next day that had also had their nights interrupted, a shame really that these types of groups are allowed to behave like this as I'm sure it may put a few people off returning.
Too sum up :
Good Points - Nice area as a base for travelling and sightseeing as the beach is gorgeous even in bad weather, showers nice and lovely receptionist.
Bad Points - Overpriced, rowdy, run down and lots of dog fouling despite signs everywhere
No that sad to say we won't be returning !

We had a season pitch and we loved every minute of it the grandkids loved it as they could go swimming and also spend time at the beach. The pitch was right next to the park so we could sit in the van and watch the kids play they also met many friends here. There were great walks as we had a dog and he loved us taking him for walks along the beach we have sold the caravan now and brought a campervan so we will definitely return for weekends.

We've just returned from this fantastic site and would happily return.
Showers and facilities are very clean, free and hot. A good standard of cleanliness all round. Staff are first class and the area is exactly what you would want as your base.
Outdoor pool crystal clear & clean and warm, good walks down the beach & up to the iron age hill fort, views are great.
Did not use the club house so can not comment, but never a problem with any noise.
Would recommend this site to anyone.
The site seemed very secure with cctv and electronic security barrier.
Overall a very nice site and good value for money, we will be visiting again.

It's all been said really, great location, level, clean, well looked after, staff are friendly and helpful. The site staff seem to patrol round the site all night in a van so the place feels safe and doesn't seem to suffer problems from kids causing trouble. There are actually two large toilet blocks, one is out of sight of the main camping area so is always deserted. Worth knowing during the busy times but to be honest the main block was ok when we stayed and the site was sixty per cent full. To save the trek into Caernarfon for shopping there is a Co Op supermarket about four miles away in Penygroes, you are only on the main A499 briefly so traffic jams aren't a problem on this route. Something which amazes me is the beach, if you turn left along the beach and walk past the hill fort there is another bay. This stretches for at least another mile and a half and when we were there it was deserted.
To conclude we have used this site twice this year and will definitely be going again.

We arrived at Dinlle to be greeted by a very helpful and courteous receptionist. I thought that the site would have been very full as the Welsh Urdd Eisteddfod was on, just up the road, however, there were pitches available.
The site is well maintained throughout, with a small heated swimming pool, which acts as a sun trap due to its enclosure. There is one toilet/shower block which was kept clean, (despite the best efforts of some children, whose parents were obviously too busy to care what they were up to). The block coped admirably with usage and the showers were hot, although did lack somewhere to put your shampoo etc.
The clubhouse is very clean and the drinks were fairly competitive, however, despite a lovely conservatory, it did not offer any cooked meals. Some entertainment is offered in high season.
The site is approximately 800 yards from the beach and does therefore become quite windy sometimes, however, this is a bonus as it keeps the cloud and rain away from the site and over the Snowdon range. The nearest supermarket is in Caernarfon approximately 6 miles away.
All in all a pleasant stay which I would recommend.

An excellent site.
I was brought up camping, my wife wasn't. We chose this site to give her her first camping experience. We took with us our two boys (5 and 1).
We were very lucky with the weather. The forecast was awful but even though it was ridiculously cold, it stayed dry.
The site is big and was very well kept. The toilet blocks / showers / family change rooms / washing up areas were all very clean.
The few children's play areas near our pitch were quiet and neat but not designed for our kids age, no swings etc. They are ideal for 7+ years, they have monkey bars, balancing beams, wobbly ladders and more. There are also areas set aside for ball games.
Although we didn't use it, I had a walk through the bar area. It was big and clean and welcoming.
The outdoor pool was great, we spent one afternoon in it. It is heated and very warm, the way the area is set up makes it a bit of a sun trap and its well protected from the wind.
I am biased, but this area of North Wales should be on everyone's must visit list. As I stood at the door to our tent I could see the sea, 200 yards away, the Lynn Peninsula to the left and Snowdonia behind us. In the the right weather you get a full view of the summit of Snowndon.
This is a very good site. Other reviewers have mentioned drainage. The owners have obviously spent a lot of time and money on it and it appears to have worked but we(and others around us)struggled to find level ground without a gravelled area to pitch on.
The walk to Dinas Dinlle summit (15mins) is a must and, with the age of our kids, I can recommend spending three hours on the stony beach throwing pebbles in to the sea.
Would recommend the area and site.

Fantastic location. Not more than 5 minute walk to the pebble beach. Its a dead end road so you won't get much passing traffic and as such it doesn't get too busy. Walkers can enjoy a nice walk along a concrete path at the top of the beach one way or take a grass footpath the other way.
The view from our tent each day was over Snowdonia! Its a way out of Canaerfon and the nearby shops are not either open for long periods during the day nor stock a great deal so you do tend to need to head out and thus a fair drive.
Its a well placed site for lots of wonderful things to do in North Wales.
The site itself is very flat. Pitches are a little on the stony side but this I think is for drainage which does seem good. We had typical August weather, ie heavy rain at times.
The pitches are pretty generous although due to a misunderstanding with a families that obviously knew each other pitching closely to each other when we got there, we pitched too far over which meant when they went, we were too close to our new neighbours. However we apologised and ended up getting on well with them anyway!
Toilet and showers were OK. Pretty clean. Wash up area OK, but cramped, and peak times the water was only luke warm. Only a minor issue.
Due to its location, the site can get very windy, but it was OK while we were there and the grass banks seem to help.
We never used the clubhouse. The swimming pool was lovely. Great for an adult swim session in the morning where the pool was quiet with lots of room for a proper swim. Good for the kids later as well.
Barrier control to the site meant that security seemed really good. There was a good feel at the site, with everyone friendly. The site was free from litter.
The central refuse area was brilliant. A huge skip and with facilities for recycling. Very clean and nice not to have to squeeze sacks into an overflowing wheelie bin.
We loved it. I want to tackle Snowdon again and possibly some other mountains so we have already decided we're coming back.
A gem of a site.

We have just got back after a three night stay. Prob the best site we have stayed on. Clean, tidy, great location.
The road to the site is fine take no notice of the other reviews its a typical country lane and there is a alternative route if you require.
We went mon to thurs and the weather was good. We had a bit of rain and a bit of wind and the site was well protected.
The outdoor pool was always busy even on the days which was'nt that warm so the water must be well heated.
If we had to make a complaint it would be the family wash room, as we have a 15 month old baby we wanted to bath him, and other sites we have stayed at have had family bathrooms with baths this doesn't it has a shower hard to wash a little monster in a shower
He site wasn't noisy of an evening and everyone was really friendly, cant wait to go back

Just got back from five days at Dinlle - what a cracking little site. Really good mix of tourers, statics, trailer tents and tents. Good sized pitch, helpful staff, nice pool and FREE shower blocks (always hot and very clean).
Decent-sized, spotless, clubhouse which had occasional entertainment, had a family bar/ games room, had a kids only games room, but also had an Adults only bar too!
Lovely long pebble/sandy beach area about 150 yards from the site, a couple of shops, chippy and cafe within easy walking distance adjacent to the beach. 2 adults and 5 teenagers cost £155 for 5 days without EHU (which I thought wasn't too bad at all)
All in all we had a lovely time and would recommend Dinlle to anyone!

We've just returned from this fantastic site and would happily return.
This is a site where the wind gets strong and before you even consider going make sure you trust your kit, and your nerve.
First thing to say is ignore your Sat Nav! The access to this site is really easy, just read the instructions on your booking form and use the A499, Pwllheli road. Obviously some tourers do not want to go anywhere without the use of their gadgets and suffer as a result. The site should put these instructions in bold letters at the top of the form! (they are stuck in small print on the bottom).
Checking in is quick and easy. The plots are spacious and there is a good mix of tourers, statics and tents creating an overall happy atmosphere, rather than a 'us and them' feeling. Note that for the tents you have to pitch over drainage channels, as other reviews have stated, but this doesn't
Cause any issues.
The pool is heated which the kids love. The bar is typical for these kind of sites but has an adults only section where you can chill while the kids play in the games room next door.
Showers and facilities are clean, free and hot. A good standard of cleanliness all round. Staff are first class and the area is exactly what you would want as your base.
Dinlle is small but lovely, and the restaurant at the bottom of the road to the beach ( on the right) is very good.
All the major attractions for the area are within easy reach and there are lots of them!
The only issue is the wind! This is the Welsh coast, and it is windy! We endured a 36 hour battering and I am pleased to say our Vango stood up to it. Some didn't and there was a lot of emergency repair work going on! Some folk gave in and
Went home early!
This is a real shame because this is a wonderful site and we would not hesitate to recommend it!
