I have just got back from 3 nights at this site. Facilities were great and although there was a hairdryer people were always using it and no plugs for me to use my own. There are plenty of toilets and showers, the family room is great, especially as I have a 22 month old. Very firendly welcome and the map given was a great help. There is plenty of space on each pitch. Whilst I agree with the other reviews with regards to the narrow roads, we were told that if using sat nav ignore turning right just after McDonalds and Tesco and carry on until you see a signpost for the site (this did cut out most of the back roads) and to be fair you are in the countryside so no its not just off a motorway! I loved the fact that there was staff driving around during the day to check everything was ok, its just a shame they were not doing this at 12. 30am when the 3 families opposite were still up. Having said that this was the only night out of 3 that we had cause to grumble a little bit. Last bnut not least the fish and chip shop down the road. We ordered 1 sausage, 3 chips and a curry sauce it took 25 minutes and that was when the shop was not busy. Be prepared to wait! All in all a lovely site which I would return to.

Just returned from 12 night stay.
We arrived early on Sunday for our pitch having been given the OK by the staff so arrived before the rush, a blessing with two young children (4) and (6) plus a teenager.
The approach to the site did not appear as bad as stated on previous reviews.
We drove through the little centre of the village that appeared run down and in need of attention. Lots of derelict land on approach to site. We were directed to our pitch by very professional friendly member of staff and given a map.
I followed the one way system diligently and was surprised when confronted by white van contravening one way system (the norm for the site traffic).
Arrived at our pitch not the large size I was expecting. Pitched the caravan as far over and as far back as possible to leave room for awning and car. The hard standing was deteriorating and as a result we had to use several different types of peg, due to the high winds across the site had to re-peg on several occasions during the evening. When set up caravan, awning and car filled the allocated supper pitch making it cramped. We had to park car across front of van so spoiling the breath taking views we had of the Snowdonia range. The banking that had been put in place to provide some protection from the winds but looked more like landfill covered with long grasses and numerous nettles as we found to the detriment of our youngest, a pity as the grass around the pitches was well maintained. On the info pack/map it stated no playing on banking. Children were using them as a play area running over them and kicking balls over them to each other, hitting our van and awning more than once. Disappointing considering the more than ample clean well appointed play areas and football field provided.
Having set up visited the toilet block not the best first impression didn’t appear to have been cleaned all week end. My wife and eldest daughter confirmed the same state with the ladies facilities. The site did appear to be quiet but a lot of pitches vacant. The pool was warm, clean and quiet. This was soon to change the site filled up rapidly towards the end of our first week. This compounded problems with the toilets children were using them to clean cycles, so were soon wet and muddy. The cleaning staff appeared to be overwhelmed by the task but made valiant attempts to clean the mess. The pool soon became overwhelmed with unsupervised older children, inflatables and footballs all of which were prohibited soon became the norm and caused problems to other pool users especially those with young children. The noise levels at night also increased with loud music from car stereos and the like booming out from tents. There seemed to be no staff around to supervise the site. I expected a lot more for the price and have had better for less money. Dogs were allowed on site but had to be on leads at all times. This like other regulations was not enforced dogs were roaming around and defecating on the grassed areas and not being picked up by the owners this had the inevitable outcome of someone stepping in it, one dog witnessed urinating on a connected aqua roll this was the final straw.
Very disappointed resulting in use leaving early.

Just returned from here this afternoon. Looking forward to my own bed, as you do!
This was a really good campsite, albeit our first proper camping holiday. My wife found a cracker!
The pool was warm enough to keep the kids entertained but personally I felt it could have been warmer. There are two wooden playgrounds that kept them happy too. Showers were warm and clean and the laundry was an added bonus. The staff are friendly enough and the grounds keepers are unseen heroes. The site is very well maintained.
The bar and games rooms were excellent with entertainment of some kind every other day and wifi hotspots.
The pitches are more than big enough, even for our 6mx4m monster of a tent. The ground is well drained to the extreme that at times you could be sat lopsided or roll off the matress into the drainage channel. Easily resolved problems that no doubt differ from pitch to pitch. The banking offers good shelter from the wind and privacy and all camping pitches seemed to be within 60-90 secs from the toilets.
Dinas Dinlle itself is nothing. Two chippys, the obligatory tacky gift shop and a burger bar. The pebble beach is really long and clean with amazing views of the welsh mountains. The hill was a good walk up and then down to the end of the beach.
Suppllies are limited on site and in the shops so a 6/7 mile drive into Caernarfon every other day was needed.
The site provides an excellent base to discover more of Wales. We ventured into Caernarfon and over to Anglessey in less than 45 mins.
The only down side to this site was on the booking form we were asked not to turn up until 2pm and to leave by 11am. The rule was ignored by reception as we were packing up. At 10am the next set of campers were sat watching us pack up waiting for the pitch. A little embarrassing for both parties.
We would definitely go back tomorrow and will be recommending this site to friends.

Everything about this site was great, stayed on super pitch which was massive, reception was helpful on arrival, pool crystal clear & clean, good walks down the beach & up to the iron age hill fort, views are great. Showers were very good and hot, grass was recently cut so the whole area was tidy. Fish & chip shop on the beach corner was nice as long as you ordered fish & chips & nothing else, wife had a house special chicken tika & chips & it was dreadful.
Like all other reviews the access road is a problem, single track 50% of the way on a 2 mile stretch, going there no issues, going home an absolute nightmare, stop/start in & out of bushes trying to get passed, with a queue of 10 cars infront & behind you, I had big problems trying to get out. This was a realy good site & I would go back tomorrow if they spent some money on cut ins on the road every hundred yards all the way to the main road to eliminate risk of damage to peoples caravans.

We had a seasonal pitch here and have decided not to return again. The hard standing pitches are used for seasonal and touring caravans and are of a good size. They are set out around the edge of a field with a gravel road running round and a large grassy area in the middle, on first view its fantastic, that's until they put large non electric tents in the middle! I've never been on a site that does this before, and certainly don't want to ever again. The site has a good size pool and is kept clean but doesn't have a life guard or warden. Entry is gained using your gate card which is supposed to stop groups of kids entering without parents, which didn't seem to work. The pool became very boisterous on several occasions and although staff were informed nothing seemed to get done about it, a quick telling off and once their backs were turned they'd start again. The shower blocks became an issue too, either being dirty or no hot water seemed to be the norm. Although this did improve when new staff appeared. There are two play areas that are great and a football area, but the ball games didn't get confined to it. The club was open all the time and the bar staff were great. Entertainment was of a mixed bag to suit all. No curfew was in place for noise and that lead to problems too especially when the field in front of you is packed with large tents. The plus point for this site is your only a stones throw from the beach and to wake up hearing the waves crashing up the beach was fantastic. The shop at the top of the road sold bread milk papers etc and there's also a chippy, cafe and restaurant which was good. I've since heard there's been a new manager appointed so I hope things improve.

Got back from here yesterday. A long weekend away.
The road to the site is narrow and is not well signposted, the only sign is about 4x1 foot sign on a low wall on the right by the cafe.
The site is well set out with plenty of space for each caravan. The staff in the bar are friendly and the whole site is clean.
The beach is not far from the site, and is very long which was really good for the dog.
There are a few cafes and a fish and chip shop, the fish and chip shop is the only facility that we used, whilst good, the 40 minute wait for them with only 1 order in front did push the patience!
There is a warm outdoor pool, small football pitch with small sized goals and a wooden playground, this is ok for a few days to keep the kids occupied but maybe not for more than that.
On the down side (for not the cheapest of sites) the free showers were cold every day for the 4 days we were there.
Good site for a weekend but I wont be rushing back there.

We have just got back from this site,Whilst it is a nice clean and welcoming site.
There is very little to do once there.
Wind banks in place but we still got battered every day and night. As for the chip shop near by its a bit hit and miss as to weather it will be open when you get there, we tried twice at tea-time and was let down on both occasions by the fact that it was closed.
No sign with opening times any where to be seen.
Beach is a pebble stone area but sand can found after the tide has gone out completely.
As to going, I don't think so, we actually came home two days early to get some sleep.
Still at only £10.00 per night cheap yes but we found out the hard way why.
Also please be careful on the lanes getting to the site as they are a bit on the narrow side, just like in cornwall.

Just gotback from this site.
Excellent wind precautions with purpose built hills approx 6 feet high on both sides of the fields and they act very well.
The site is next to an air field for light aircrafts/pleasure flights, however no aircrafts fly between 530pm and 9am so this was not a problem,
The pitch had good drainage and looks like they have added valleys housing water pipes recently and was the only draw back for our 8 man tent, the grass pitch was ample for a tent and are clearly labelled with a flat paving slab with number on it, you park in front of your tent, being made with gravel this created a uncomfortable ditch, however with a good air mattress or self inflater this again was not a problem,
Has very clean toilets/showers and were heated! bar on site and heated outside pool,
Lots of children's play areas and at only £10 per night for two adults and two children under 10 excellent value, the site is down a narrow lane, but has plenty passing points,
5 minutes from the sea and chip shop, handful of shops selling usual holiday items, plenty of walks for all levels of experience. Games rooms, family and adults only bars. Never tried the meals but looked nice.
We were only testing tent for leeks before the season starts, and would gladly go back.

We spent a week here at the Easter break, and had a thoroughly nice time!
The site was well presented, the shower blocks were warm and reasonably clean (over the very busy bank holiday weekend could have been cleaned a little more often, but after the weekenders had gone did seem to be better)
The bar area was very nice with an adjacent games room (darts, pool and games machines) also a little arcade through another door.
The outdoor pool area was very clean and tidy with seats and loungers around the poolside. The pool itself was very warm (didn't take my breath away when I jumped in) the kids had a great time.
There were two play parks and a games field with goal posts which the kids loved and made some great friends.
The site seemed very secure with cctv and electronic security barrier.
Overall a very nice site and good value for money, we will be visiting again!

Great value at £10 a night covering children and electric. Children enjoyed the pool which was clean and warm and freedom to used bikes on the site. Happy children meant a relaxing break for us.
Toilets and showers generally clean and tidy but really need a deep clean to remove build up. The white knobs to the door locks were a smudgy black.
Tricky to pitch tent as drainage channels everywhere filled with chippings. Banks helped with privacy and noise control but were a bit untidy in places. i.e. banks of mud and waste. Parts of the site looked as though they needed finishing off properly. We thought the site was a little noisy at night.
We drove to Abersoch about ½ hr away and spent some time on a lovely beach, far nicer than the one at Dinlle.
It was a little breezy one evening although not forecast. Looking at the surrounding landscape I think you would be very exposed in a tent if the weather turned.
If the forecast was good would go back.
