This was our first ever CL site and what a lovely place to pick, lovely spaced pitches well mown grass, electric hook up, toilets and showers and plenty of wild life birds especially.
You get the air traffic from nearby Broughton but didn't bother us at all.
Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.

I stayed here while visiting my daughter at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
It's a really lovely, peaceful little site at an equestrian centre.
Facilities simple but everything you need and spotless. Location rural but very handy for Chester.
Thanks to the helpful and welcoming owners

We had a lovely four nights at Thornleigh Park Farm.
Great location, less than 3 miles to Chester, around £7 in a taxi.
Very friendly owner who met us as we arrived and provided us with all the information we needed.
We look forward to visiting again next year 👍

Rang to book. Very friendly and helpful I thought. Told me park and ride was nearby. Or could get Uber into Chester. Sadly no Uber wanted to pick us up and park & ride closed.
Buses 15 minute walk along very dark lane. No lighting. Buses running until late every 20 minutes. (Uber back from Chester in the evening was £20 had we used it. ) Sited ourselves on grass, level pitch.
Didn’t use facilities so can’t comment. Never saw anyone, except other caravanners. Very quiet. Depends what you’re looking for.
Very reasonably priced. £15. 90 with EHU. No charge to stay late next day.

We arrived at Thornleigh Parc farm 1st of October, a very warm welcome awaited us.
Lovely little place we stayed till 2nd Oct, wish it was longer! Facilities lovely and clean.
Well maintained pitch. A lovely quiet site away from the hustle and bustle of life, but yet close enough to all amenities.
I can't wait to go back.

Lovely, peaceful site on a farm with riding stables. Good windbreak of trees, and a level walk either to the River Dee (waterside walk/cycle path to Chester) or to the bus stop at the end of the lane. Bus to Chester every 20 mins or so.
Shower/toilets and info - good recycling system and sells their own beef.
Great site for exploring Chester with its amazing architecture or using the cycle routes to explore the Wirral with Botanic Gardens etc.

Excellent travel directions from campsite owner made finding the site easy. I always solo camp, forever looking for quiet, low key, good basic facility sites and Thornleigh Park farm is one for my list.
Two areas, one for a few tents, the other for caravans-Camper Vans.
The site is in a busy area but still secluded enough to be peaceful. Surrounded by trees, a working farm with friendly owners and within easy reach of shops and other amenities if required.
If you seek on site entertainment or Holiday Camp type surroundings then Thornleigh Park Farm is not for you.
If you are happy with good clean facilities, well tended flat grass, tree sheltered camping areas and interesting local walks and cycle paths then it's a Campsite well worth visiting.
Marks out of 10 from me is 10 and I look forward to my next visit.

Great value for money. Stayed here for 1 night on the way to Wales. Level grass pitch with electric £15. 50.
Charge for showers but acceptable considering the low camping fee. Currently 40p for male shower but we’re told by a lady looking after the site that the showers were changing to tokens at 80p which I think is excessive.
On a working farm. 45 minute walk into Chester beside the river. Shower block was adequate could be improved with a few minimal changes. Would use again.

Pleasant and quiet site. Showers and toilets basic but clean.
Would stop here again. Handy for biking or walking into chester.
Can order meat which has been reared on the farm either to enjoy while you are there or they will freeze pack for you to take away
