We have just returned from Yeatheridge farm with our friends after a weeks holiday. First of all I knew it was not by the sea so when we were winding our way through the Devon countryside I was not worried. But after what seemed a lifetime it had me worried but we eventually reached the site the entrance was very nice long concrete drive but I wish they would take the speed bumps out there is no need.
Booking in was nice and quick very helpful staff. Then onto our pitches which I am glad to say looked like the best one on site. Some units on site where at some very strange angles. The field in front of our unit was great for kids to run about and a little sand pit kept them entertained.
The toilets and shower facilities where spot on very modern lots of room in showers and they even had loo's for the little people.
The swimming pool was okay but was informed that a new pool is on the cards very soon.
The horse riding facilities was a godsend never a queue. Always looked after my daughter and our friends kids loved it they even had a horse big enough to carry me and it was great to go trekking.
The fishing on site was great fun. To see so many kids fishing was fantastic and everyone catching carp just wished there would have been a few more different types but still was great. The bottom lake was easily accessible down the lane but I did not venture.
The club house and restaurant was a comfortable and very pleasant to sit in and have either a drink or just a coffee.
The menu was the ace in the pack for me a special board plus a good choice on main menu. Portions were very generous make sureit stays that way
The food quality was excellent. Great chef well done The steaks were the best I have ever tasted and would go back just for that. All the staff were very pleasant and they are a credit to the park well done.
The shop sell all the normal things you need on a site that's in the middle of nowhere but we did not mind that because you are surrounded by such lovely views.
The criticism that I have for the site was put to the owner Geoff and he told me that the new field under development will soon have super pitches for tourer's and the old hard standing pitches will be modernised. It was good to hear that investment was forth coming. My biggest gripe was not pointed at site owners but the owners of seasonal pitch caravans, the state off some of the caravans and awnings attached was terrible and spoilt the views. At present some of the water points could do with modernising they look very tired. Plus another elsan point in deer meadow would be handy.
My Last comment would be more flowers about the gardens and trim back all tree's
Would I go again yes no problem the daughter loved it the wife loved it and I loved the food.
Just remember its not a seaside holiday its a working farm.

We stayed for 5 nights at the site.
The site shop was very well stocked and priced like a supermarket which was good as you have about a 15 mile drive to nearest one.
Staff on the site all are friendly and helpful. The camping is very clean but a little on the small side. The pitches we had been allocated was very sloppy, not the best for tents.
Our pitch overlooked a small green with a park, well not really a park but a playhouse in sand but my toddler loved it.
My children took part in a pony ride, which both really enjoyed.
Location of the site is very much out in the middle of nowhere. You have to drive for awhile down narrow B roads and very long.
We tested out the swimming pools and again we had a great time, one thing that let it down was the near miss myself and my toddler had when we stood up in the toddler pool, our heads missed the steal beam for the slides by inches, if I was standing a couple of inches over my head and my sons would have have hit it hard. Should be some protective cover on.
The site is lovely if you want to kick back and relax with your children but if you plan on heading out to the beach or a day out prepare to drive for over an hour in any direction.
Overall, the site is a very clean, friendly and great place to kick back and relax but the location lets it down for days out.

Nice tidy site with good toilets good pool and great food.
The pool and slide are a great hit with the kids along with the woodland walks around the fishing lakes.
Only 20 miles from home but we will be visiting again in june 2013 for a 5 day weekend.
The pub has a nice menu with plenty of variety and good portion size.
Quite a trek from the nearest town/shops but that is part of the appeal for us

Visited with our children, 6, 6, and 4 years.
Had to book early for the Bank Holiday weekend as they were busy.
We were checked in by the son of the owner who was really friendly and helpful, getting the weekend off on the right foot.
We stayed with 2 other families and they reserved our pitches all together.
The site is laid out in fields, we were in Lower Meadow (I think) which surrounds a small climbing frame and sandpit and large open field area.
The adults could sit in front of the tents (wine in hand) and see the children playing. The kids seem to thrive on the open spaces camping offers.
The pitches were flat and all had electric hook ups (although we hardly use them).
The shower block appeared relatively new and was spotless. It had a family shower cubical with shower, sink and toilet which make our bedtime routine easy.
The pool was cold and the slide only open for short periods but the kids loved it and the slide was well marshalled by the staff.
Good site, well run, we did not leave it all weekend as not much to do locally and any longer than a weekend I think we would have struggled.

Lovely site, it has everything you need, very clean and well run.
If only you could move it nearer to the coast as it is a bit far off the beaten track. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side during our visit and the pitch didn't have very good drainage, we had wet patches everywhere from little muddy puddles forming within the awning. We did ask a couple of times for some sand but obviously owner was very busy and the sand didn't turn up.
Toilets were very modern and clean, one of the best we have visited, despite the weather, although could have done with a couple of buckets and mops just to clean muddy floors after showering. Even had a pet shower which I was most impressed with.
Swimming pool great for kids.
Great food in the bar and restaurant at very competitive prices. Do agree with one reviewer who said that it could do with some evening entertainment.
Overall a great site

WE stayed at yetheridge on the last weekend of July 2011. We live locally( half an hour away) and have friends who live in exeter so this camp site was perfect for meeting up.
We pitched both our tents next to each other, in the bottom field. There was a park for the kids so we could sit and chat and let kids play. Both my daughters went on a pony ride around the site, which really made their weekend.
This had to be booked when we arrived as we were warned they get booked up fast. Very reasonably priced. The swimming pool was brilliant, but the slide is not open all the time. However if it was open all the time we would never have got the kids and the men out.
We were originally recommended this site by lots of friends / neighbours and I have now recommended to many more.
The shower and toilet facilities are very good and always clean. Dish washing facilities always clean. The shop was well stocked and not overpriced which is a bonus as it is half hour drive back to supermarket.
We didn't go anywhere for the three days. It was lovely. Although the site was busy nobody seemed to be going anywhere so not too many cars driving around so it felt safe to let kids walk to shop on there own.
We barbecued whilst we were their with our friends so didn't sample the food although it looked lovely. This really is a great place to just chill out.
The only down side was the woodland walk from the bottom field which we attempted to walk. After asking the kids to watch out for dogs mess more than a few times, and one landing right in it, we abandoned the walk. Such a shame. But this is not the fault of the site owners but that of careless dog owners.
Since we went to yetheridge my three children have constantly been asking when we are going back. We are waiting for our summer and we will definitely return.

Having booked a holiday since May with this site, I was really looking forward to our break. The site is easy enough to get to until the last 5 miles or so. The roads are so narrow with just enough space for 2 cars to pass in places. It seems to be STOP-START. Plenty of tractors about. Once we got there we called into Reception and got sorted.
We were given a map of our pitch, which was very clear and concise. Even the owner backed our Tourer into position for us. I thought that was a very nice touch. We were positioned and set up with awning etc within 3 ours, it would have been quicker, but it was raining. The site is in very good condition, fantastic showers, toilet blocks etc, plenty of water taps. Excellent.
They have a decent shop which has the basics etc. Milk, papers etc. The eggs are fantastic. Free range. The bar and restaurant are good also, all home made and very very good. Starting at £7. 95 per head up to £13 for fillet steak etc. We never had a bad meal. Highly recommend. Lager about £3 per pint.
The Swimming pools are not bad, could do with a bit of an upgrade though. Warm enough for the kids. As for the fishing !Top pool full of Carp, mainly tiddlers though up to about 3lb. As soon as you dipped your hook you caught, we couldn't count to 20 seconds. We even caught without any bait ! The bigger pool is different. This is 1/4 mile walk down a path, which is not suitable for cars. Only 4 x 4. The pool itself is very quiet and hard to catch anything, you could only catch if you pole fished, all carp again, but bigger fish, up to 12 lbs or so. Lots of flies though, which really irritate. The forest walks were very very steep and I though a waste of time, even the dog struggled.
I was a little disappointed with the dog run, it was very narrow and not very long either.
You are smack in the middle of Devon here. Nearest supermarket, Tesco/Morrisons about 15 miles away in Tiverton - a nice little town. We went to Clovelly for the day, its 44 miles away but it took 1. 5 hrs to get there, because of the country roads. Well worth a visit.
What I didn't like is at 10. 30ish there seemed no life about, everyone must have gone to bed, kids at 6am running around screaming was a bit of a nightmare also. We actually got told off by one of the owners son for being noisy in our awning, this was about 11 pm at night, I was very annoyed as we were not noisy, only talking and playing cards.
It has a field full of tourers, in storage. These are pulled out by tractor on instruction. On the day of leaving you have a deadline of 10am, and at 10 am the owner came around to see if we had packed up.
We were running late as I had done my back in. This annoyed me a little and I'm sure he must have picked up on this. He was waiting for our pitch so he could pull one out of storage etc. Overall a great holiday, weather wasn't brilliant, a good clean site, with a lot of potential, just a little bit out in the sticks, but we knew this when we booked. Instead of 2 weeks, I would go for 7 days next time. Would recommend it.

Stayed two nights here with the Devon DA meet.
Nice family friendly site with plenty to keep the children entertained. Play areas in each field plus ball games field. Very good value pony rides.
Swimming pool is dated but well maintained with good changing rooms. Kids loved the flume.
Lovely circular walks through countryside and farm land. Site also has two fishing lakes.
Showers, toilets and dishwashing modern and very clean.
Club/Bar serves reasonably priced food and drinks, take away also available. Games room with table football, pool and table tennis. Balls for hire from the bar or buy them from the shop.
Well stocked shop, again reasonably priced.
Would recommend for a weekend stay or base for exploring the area.

A lovely location plenty to do on site clean and tidy, friendly staff toilet blocks immaculate plenty of showers including family showers :)
Nature walks behind site.
Swimming pool clean if a little old but an added bonus.
Did not try club house but looked clean and food did look appealing
Ok a little off beaten track but do not let this put you off as well run site and only an hour away from from all the hustle and bustle
Will definitely return next year with the intention of keeping it there for a few years

We booked this site two weeks before in order to secure a place at the Bank Holiday weekend. We booked for three nights but only stayed for two, no fault of the campsite we just decided that we would get home for the BH.
Very friendly site but it struck me that a lot of the visitors there were probably regulars, all turning up at the weekends to use their tourer vans. There were a few tents but not very many.
We had a non electric pitch as requested: large and well positioned. Owner drove us to our pitch which I thought was a nice gesture.
Excellent shop, well priced and well stocked. Club house which really isnt our sort of thing, but we did play a game of pool and a few games of table tennis.
Reception very well organised and pleasant. Loo blocks felt new and were well fitted out, I did make one complaint though as on the Saturday afternoon the ladies loo block was really quite unpleasant. To be fair however they did instantly clean it and it was spotless when I went back later in the day.
There is a swimming pool with a really good taboggan. The pool is small but seemed clean. The taboggan/slide is open twice a day, for half an hour in the morning and again in the afternoon and is very well supervised.
Overall a very pleasant site but as previous reviews have said it is a long way from any towns so it appeared that most people staying there just didn't leave.
Nice for a couple of nights but not somewhere I would go regularly.
