We arrived late in the evening (about 6.30) after the shop had closed, checked into reception and was met by a friendly response - realised that we had no milk or more importantly wine to see us through to the next day and the shop was opened so that we could get whatever we needed! The Pitch was good. Showers and loos immaculate - they must've been cleaned every hour by the way they looked. It seemed as though every time we used them that they had only just been cleaned - really impressed. Indoor pool (3 pools, paddling, playing and swimming) Along with a slide and with a splash pool at the end - was a little cold (but it was early may!) Had Takeaway on the first night - and was amazed by the reasonable prices. The shop was reasonably priced too! and considering the nearest shop was about 12 miles away, we managed to buy sausages, eggs, bacon, mushrooms(with a bottle of oil) for breakfast (for 2 adults and 2 children), for about £5. Yeatheridge is set on a working farm with several marked out woodland walks around. It has a really nice feel and is well looked after without feeling like too commercial a campsite. There are little play areas in each camping area so you can let the kids go off and play and still have them in sight. Would highly recommend and will be returning soon!

We were so impressed with site that we booked to go again while we were still there. The couple that own it are very friendly and can't do enough for you. They have added a new shower block which as a small toilet and sink for children and also a lower shower, there is a family bathroom and disabled bathroom. The prices for food and drink in the bar were very good. There are two lovely swimming pools and a water slide all free of charge. There are pony rides for beginners and the more experienced. The site shop is well stocked and prices reasonable but there is a Morrisons about 10 miles away in Tiveton. All pitches are numbered and spacious and are fairly level, they have a massive field and play area for the kids and a sandpit. The site was full when we were there as it was Witsun but it didn't feel crowded at all.

We stayed at yeatheridge during August / September and had a fantastic time. The owners are great and will help in any way that they can. The swimming pools were great the kids loved it, they also enjoyed the pony rides even though they had never been on horses before.
The fishing lakes are really good as well I went twice and caught plenty of carp. The resaurant is very good as are the bar meals, we found them very good value for money. The toilet blocks and showers are cleaned three times a day and are always clean and tidy. The woodland walks are really nice.
All in all we had a fantastic time we had planned to go off site every other day but found that we did not need to as the site shop is very well stocked. It is about 40 minutes to the nearest town which is Tiverton but we did not mind that.

August 2005 Just got back from here and agree with previous reviewers... large pitches, clean adjustable showers, very well stocked shop with local meat etc, nice bar-we had a lovely meal(huge portions!). The site is well kept and the owners are very friendly. The kids loved the horse-riding and playground / sand pits. The site was miles from anywhere down little lanes but this just meant every trip was a scenic route! However - this was the noisiest site we have ever stayed on... we love sitting out in the evening and having a laugh and our kids aren't exactly church mice either! but we always abide by the '11o'clock rule' as stated in the brochure, but we were sadly in the minority as the noise at night was incredible...the site could do with a warden to enforce the parks rules after 11..having said this we really enjoyed this site and will definatley visit again albeit out of peak season.

August 2005 This site is lovely, the hosts and other staff are friendly, helpful and appoachable and the amenities are kept up to a very high standard. The pitches have plenty of space between them although the ones we were on were slightly sloped On site the pub is huge and provides loads of space for both adults and children to spread out, even on rainy days when half the site is there. It offers decent meals (although a couple more veggie options wouldn't go a miss)(Ha!) and a good pint.
The pools are clean and well maintained although could do with been a little bit bigger. The shop is well stocked, reasonable and sells fresh pastries and cakes as well as local eggs and their own meat from the farm, but not very good at freezing ice blocks, and are keen for you to borrow their not very frozen ice blocks instead of freezing yours.
The top fishing lake is over stocked deliberately so everyone enjoys catching lots of fish. There is beautiful views surrounding the whole place. There is stacks for the children to do including the adventure playground, horse riding for a small price, a games room in the pub, free swimming and fishing and arces of grass to run around on, surrounded by woods and fields which are miles away from the main roads and safe.
This is probably one of the best sites I have been on, the only downside is that it is miles away from anything, 12 miles from the nearest small town. Still worth a visit. (Tiverton)

August 2005 Visited summer, school holidays 2005, owners said site was full. It did not feel over crowded at all. The owners were very welcoming and I felt that nothing would be too much trouble for them, (probably the nicest owners I have met & staff).
Weather -overcast / sun / rain (British weather then!)
Great Site - will be going back.
Useful Stuff (or I think so) in no particular order:
Town – miles way (which was a good point for us!).
Fishing: upper lake - so well stocked that that the fish (some big ones - 6 lb) jump on the hook before you even cast out, great intro to fishing to kids, did feel as an adult that it was too easy, however saying that did spend hours saying just one more fish before going back to camp, and even the wife joined in!
Horse Rides - park ride £2 for around 5-10 mins (no experience at all), full park ride you are supposed to have a "little" experience (saw loads of non experienced riders with a walkers taking the rains, my little 6 year old included) £8 for about an hour. Wow what good value for the kids to have the time of their lives and parents to have no kids for an hour!
Pitch Size - very good sized pitches, ours was sheltered from the wind by a large hedge, would have said that tents were out numbered significantly by caravans, but as an ex-tenter (now folding camper) this would have not put me off.
Toilets/Showers – clean & hot, never had to wait, what more can I say?
Payment - site now takes card payment in all areas, including shop, bar etc. (I would guess for pinches, but we paid cash so can not confirm).
Pool - three pools (baby, smaller children, adults, all indoors, not the hottest pools, but then what would you expect (warm enough, our kids had no problems!) water shoots open for one hour am and one hour pm, great fun.
Food - Take away - burger £2 (from local farm, nice meat), chips £1, nuggets etc. - Bar meals, a little bit more, from memory not a huge mark up good food/portions, the also do breakfast- Restaurant - superb, we dined out one night wedding anniversary, huge portions and lovely food, certainly would recommend eating their (but that’s not camping of course).
Think that's it!

July 2005 We went just before the school holidays so the site was very peaceful, except on the weekend when it was full and a bit noisy (wy do some people have to empty their chemical toilets at 05:00?!!) The big plus points were the swimming pool and the way the site is laid out. The pool is free, open at decent hours (closes about 20:30) and warm. Our kids had a swim at least once a day. The site is laid out so the pitches are in a circle around the play areas. This is handy for keeping an eye on your children and encourages them to make friends as well.
The shop is well stocked and not expensive. The bar is new and well appointed. You can get take-away food as well.
Toilets and showers are in good condition (the showers are free and hot).
The only minus point is the distance from the attractions. Theme parks and beaches are all at least 40 minutes drive away down some pretty narrow roads.
Overall a great site and one that I would definitely go back to.

May 2005 If I could run a campsite I'd like to run one like this one and run it like this one is run.
There is a nice mixture of things to do (good pool complex, horseriding, fishing, walking, children's play areas) and ample peace and opportunity to just chill out.
At Yeatheridge you do not feel your children are the only ones playing on an adult orientated site nor do you feel unable to have a barbeque and drinks after 9pm. But there is an air of respect, perhaps brought about by the fact that so many campers are regulars, and you get a really nice balance.
The facilities are lovely and clean, the bar and restaurant are spacious (recently extended) and offer very reasonably priced food to eat in or take away.
If there is a "downside" it is that it is a bit of a drive to the nearest large town, Tiverton.
We love it and can't wait to get back there.

September 2004 This was a very good site, with fishing just a 5/10 minute walk (depending on where you we're pitched and where you we're pitched as the are 2 fishing sites). The pitch sizes we're excellent, we had room for our Hartford XL and our car. This site is quite high up and although surrounded by lots of trees, you do feel the wind when it gets up.
The facilities we're I think some of the best I've ever seen, with 2 toilet/shower blocks, but can imagine get very busy in the height of Summer, the on site shop is very large, with a good selection and more than reasonable opening hours.
An extremely pretty site from an Adult point of view, peaceful (it was September). The best place for larger shopping requirements/town is the quite pretty little town of Tiverton which has a large Tesco's and a few eating places.

July 2004 Wow!!What can I say? A fantastic site, plenty to do, swimming, fishing, horse riding and a nice onsite pub that did lovely meals. All this and still more after 11.15pm ish not a single sound. Heaven to get a good nights sleep on a campsite. Lovely friendly owners. Only downside was they couldnt fit us in to stay another week. Definately going back next year.
