August 2004 Just got back from superb hols! Good site, friendly & clean good facilities. All pitches seemed well spaced, around the edges of various paddocks and meadows, leaving the middle areas for play and breathing space - a refreshing change from the stack 'em & pack 'em attitude of many park owners. Kids loved the pool, and very reasonably priced pony rides. A good mellow site, but a bit remote from attractions.

August 2004 Unfortunately our holiday here was cut short due to very bad rain storms and our tent becoming flooded! But the campsite is lovely, the family that run the campsite are always very friendly.
Currently undergoing some renovation work but this did not affect the holiday at all. Will be brilliant when all the work is finished, will make a big difference to the site.
Swimming pools are great and the kids loved the waterslide. Cider is nice in the club and very good prices!!
This campsite is in the middle of the countryside and does become a bit tedious driving to and from Tiverton which is the nearest place for a cashpoint machine.

May 2004 Just spent 6 nights on this family friendly site. We had a nice big, but quite stony, slight sloping pitch, 35`x 35`. Plenty to keep the kids (7 & 4) happy (play park, sand pits, swimming pools, water flume, course fishing, pony rides (£2 for a 15 minute ride round the park, £7.50 for an hour ride through the woods and meadows on the farm), squirrel chasing in the woods, paddling and fishing with their nets in the river Datch. Clean toilets and showers. Well-stocked reasonably priced shop, you must try the locally produced burgers (Marchweeke Farm) and the local farmhouse scrumpy £4.90 for a flagon. Lovely dog walks through the oakwoods and wildflower meadows. Has a bar and restaurant which serves cooked breakfast £4.00 and Sunday roast £5.99 as well as usual menu. Only minus points got to be off by 10am sharp (owner does his rounds at 10am) and after paying £84 for 6 nights camping we still had to pay 10p for a basin of hot water sometimes dangerously hot other times luke warm, although showers were free. Would recommend as a relaxing break for families.

August 2003 Good site - 2nd visit. Lovely walks around the farm - kids enjoyed damning the stream. Fish and chips twice a week - the best in Devon! Even at the height of the season, it doesn't feel too busy. Loos could be improved through.

August 2003 Agree with the previous review. Excellent site, we loved the way vehicles and tents were around the edge of the fields with the play area in the middle. Great swimming pool with good opening times and no extra charge. Nice little shop, with all the basics.
Pony rides, either a short one around the park (£2)or longer one (under an hour £7) Free fishing round a couple of small lakes. We had to vacate our pitch by 10am, but were told we could park van by the house and use the facilities, so the girls had another swim!
Hope to be back again, complete with fishing rods before it closes for the winter

May 2003 The site is excellent and clean with very helpful staff.
The site is on a slight hill but this was not a major problem, maybe different if it rained.
The childrens play area is within site of the tents allowing the children to play.
The site is in the middle of nowhere which is excellent for peace and quiet the only noise to wake you are the owls.
A small clubhouse and shop. Nearest town is a good 20 mins drive away.
One of the best sites I have visted and I will be going again this year.
