Just got back from a 4 night stay 2 adults and a dog. In one word fantastic. The site is clean and tidy the staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Plenty for children to do a large play area with climbing frames and a miniature railway. Pub on site with a indoor area where you can sit with your dog (you don't find that often)there is an indoor swimming pool (we didn't use this.
The toilet block is clean and the showers were hot. Even though the site was busy I never had to wait for a shower. The washing up area was also clean and plenty of hot water was available.
It was a short walk into Hunmanby you can drive into Filey or Scarborough. We will definitely go back again.

Absolute perfection and great value for money, if I must say so my self,
The site itself is lovely, well maintained,
Had a relaxing one night stay,
The showers and toilets are really well looked after,
The customer service was fantastic and the site owner is lovely,
We will be definitely coming here again, I just wish we could have stayed longer

Hi we came across this site on the internet, looking to be near filey and Scarborough,
The campsite was a nice size it was busy,
Showers and toilets always clean, which you had a key for.
We went in the pub at night with plenty entertainment,
We were two adults staying in a tent. The washing up area was good, clean site all around.
Went down in the village pub that was nice.
A snack bar would be nice for a tea, chips, pizza(general snacks)the shop shuts at five.
Enjoyed our stay and will return.

Spacious Electric Tent Pitch, Train Rides round park (though cost a £1 each), Not too far from local supermarket and beach. Dogs permitted.
Toilet Block Dated (toilet seats were cracked and not at all clean. Only cleaned once daily. Showers were. Hot but not at all powerful enough.
Washing up Facilities were two sinks with hot water and again not very well maintained. Laundrette is two washing machines (£2 per load) and one tumble dryer (£1 for 8 mins). Open 8:30 -5pm.
The toilet blocks were situated in the heart of static caravans. No where near the tents or tourers. The bar is small and dated. The disco is basic considering the size of the area there are limited tables. The pool is small and kids complained it was cold and didn't stay in it very long. The shop isnt really a shop more a few shelves with some toys and hardly any food. Luckily there is a co-op in the village.
Agree with other comments there were a lot of entertaining words coming from some families within the park area for kids and many of the kids thought this acceptable to talk to other children entering the play areas.
Dog walking area (next to tents and tourers) meant the dog had to stay on the lead and not be let off for a run.

Great location but not really for camping and probs wouldn’t go back. Its mainly static caravan site with a couple of areas for tourers and tents with electric hook up.
The tents that don’t require electric are in a separate field. It’s quite a walk to the toilet block, which you have to leave a £2 deposit at reception to get a key for.
There were only 2 sinks on the wash up and the water supply was at the other side of the site. The campers get a raw deal.
Distance to toilet/wash up/water, made it hard with 2 toddlers. The club was okay reminded me of something that would be on Peter Kay’s phoenix nights.
The club was several weird like living rooms joined together and then with the disco room feeling a little church like with its wooden tables. The dj was friendly and played songs on request and was also the site maintenance and train driver. He did brag they paid him well.
The site is well maintained and very pretty. The on-site shop is a joke. Absolutely terrible. The only milk they stocked was long life uht milk which is unsuitable for under 2s so had to buy ready-made formula at another shop for my baby girl. Service from the staff was a bit crap to be honest. Going into reception to give key back one woman was cradling a baby and the other woman was cradling a dog. Very weird.
As a camper we felt the site didn’t cater for us. The cut through from the camping to the toilets we had to go through a narrow gap between overflowing industrial bins. Not nice with a 2 year old that needed the loo. Hate to think what it’d have been like with wasps around.
We went on the train ride, nice it was but at £1 per person for 5 mins wouldn’t be something we kept repeating. Some of the other people on site were 'entertaining'. Am afraid chavvy parents playing on children’s playground and even throwing bark! And then one woman shouting 'door!' at the top of her voice when I was in the toilet block, I opened the door and she just barged past. I guessed she'd forgotten her key.
The site only accepts cash payments for camping. Not a problem if you have the cash on you but its worth being aware of as almost everywhere accepts card payments.
In all, great location for filey / brid / Scarborough. Beautifully maintained site but camping facilities and basics in shop let it down and am afraid other people that this site seems to attract and at £22 a night for basic camping we thought it was too expensive for what we got.

We have been camping on the North East coast annually for the last 6 years staying at numerous different camp sites. We can safely say that we will not be visiting any other sites as this is the best we have stayed at. We were originally booked on for 5 nights but decided to stay 2 extra because we liked it that much even though the weather was very hit and miss. On arrival we were met at reception with a smiley welcome and we have to say that all the staff and owners were very helpful and friendly. Facilities: considering how wet it was the toilets and showers were kept very clean even late at night. The pot washing area is undercover and very adequate. If you have children, this site is a must as there is plenty to do including a very safe big play area, a mini railway which circles the site hourly (weather permitting) and plenty of well maintained open space for ball games etc. The club is small and very family orientated with good reasonably priced beer and entertainment for all ages including bingo, quiz night, children entertainers, disco and a small arcade with the usual machines. The pool came in very handy on a rainy day and is clean and well maintained £2 per person.
Location of the site is perfect for exploring Bridlington, Whitby, Filey and Scarborough. The small village of Hunmanby is a 5/10 min walk and has a couple of nice pubs, co-op, and a cracking little chippy. This is a great family orientated site and will be returning next year.

We've just got back from Bank Holiday weekend at Orchard Farm. My partner and I and our two kids aged four and six. Orchard Farm is a great site for families
A friendly welcome at reception, shown a map to our site and paid £2 deposit for the shower and toilet block key. We managed to get a hardstanding pitch although the site has a mixture of grass and hardstanding. Pitches are reasonably level just requiring back to front levelling.
Shower blocks were clean and warm water aplenty. A very minor gripe that there is no heating in the block, so I wouldn't fancy a shower in colder weather!
As I say, great site for families. Fab adventure playground, a swimming pool (which we didn't use), amusements, a minature railway (£1 a ride per person) and the club house which had great evening entertainment.
The DJ is amazing with kids and a credit to the site, a really lovely chap who didn't mind being annoyed by our four year old! A range of evening activities for young and old including Bingo, karaoke and a disco.
A great base for exploring the East coast. We do hope to return!

Well what a little gem!
After being a little disappointed with a different campsite, my partner, my dog and I decided to head towards Filey and came across Orchard Farm in Hummanby. It was the weekend before the jubilee and was very quiet, we were able to pitch anywhere as long as we let reception know.
As it was £15 per night you'd expect it to be nice. And it was lovely, well worth the money! You were given a key to the shower and toilet facilities which were cleaned daily at midday (always spotless!) There was an on site shop that sold the essentials, small bar and swimming pool.
We were only 3 miles from Filey and 10 miles from Bridlington and Scarborough which we visited during our 3 day break. The visitors who had caravans there throughout the season were very friendly and gave us some good advice too.
We will definitely be staying at Orchard Farm again, maybe in a caravan as they have some for hire. I would definitely recommend this site for first time campers or families as it has everything you need. Can't wait to camp again! :)

It was our first time to this site, 3 tents with 6 adults and 8 children.
The pitch sizes were spacious, we were at the end of the site and only our 3 tents pitched there.
The site itself is lovely with a lovely play area and we went to the club twice, the children enjoyed the disco and the fun and games they played.
The only downside to this site was trying to get hot water, the showers were freezing and with it been April and cold outside it took a lot of courage to get under the water.
We also had ehu and found it wasn't very powerful as the fan heater hardly blew and took ages to boil a kettle, others we spoke to in both tents and tourers also seemed to have a problem with electric too.
It was a shame really as the water and electric situation would probably stop us visiting this site again which is a shame really as it is a lovely site.

We are a family of 3 with a 2 yr old and have just spent 5 days at Orchard farm holiday village in Hunmanby, Filey. This site is a distinctly average site.
There were a few things we liked, the miniature railway was loved by our 2 yr old but only ran on a Saturday and Sunday which made the excuses for why he could go the other days got quite inventive and at £1 per person per ride it quickly added up.
The Adventure playground seemed very good and if you have older children they would love it but it wasn’t really built with toddlers in mind, and the Arcade was fun for a while and as most machines were 2p it didn’t cost too much to keep our son amused long enough for us to have a drink at the end of the day. But it pretty much ends there.
We arrived and no one was in reception. Apparently reception is only open in the mornings. There was a note to find your own pitch and sort out payment in the morning, no map to show you were is the tent section or where electric hook up were so we had to go off and do some investigating first.
All this in itself wasn’t too much of a problem except you need a key for the toilet and shower block! Luckily someone was around mowing the lawns when we arrived at 2 pm on Thursday afternoon but we had 2 other campers while we were there who struggled and we shared our key with one couple on our last night!
The pool is also only open for a few hours at the weekends and the bar was only open on Friday and Saturday night. We didn’t use the pool as we were told by one swimmer that it was very cold and probably unsuitable for our son, so we didn’t risk it.
The bar was nice enough and certainly big enough but totally lacked any atmosphere. Maybe it was because it was 2 weeks out of season or maybe with was the rain dampening everyone’s spirits but it seemed like a morgue (ever with a karaoke night on the Saturday), so we only stayed for 1 drink on both nights.
The site is a large(ish) site with small amenities. The pitches were tiny and had the site been full we would not have had enough room for out tent and car on one pitch, thankfully we were the only tent for a few days so we were able to spread out a bit otherwise I think we wouldn’t have stayed.
There are 4 sinks, 4 showers and 6 toilets (per sex) to service the entire site so no where near enough – again if it had been busy we wouldn’t have been able to get anything, as it was even with a largely empty site my husband had to wait as all 4 showers were in use.
They are dated and although I wouldn’t say they’re dirty they do have a lot of mould spots, cobwebs and dead (and not so dead) insect everywhere although the radio playing in there was a nice touch.
The showers are small, couldn’t wash 2 in there so washing kids would be hard, we tried and failed so gave him a hot flannel wash every morning and night in the tent after that. Also the block is in the middle of the static caravan field which seemed a bit odd to me, surely it would have been better utilised nearer the camping/tourer section?
I only went in the shop once and it didn’t seem particularly well stocked, having said that I didn’t buy anything so no idea if what it does have is good enough or not, it is only open in the morning though as it also doubles up as reception.
There is also a 50p charge for hot water in the pot washing area which I thought was a bit cheeky given were already paying £18 a night out for season and there is free hot water in the toilets? (There is a sign saying not to bring hot water from the toilets to the pot wash) again, we just boiled our own in the tent and washed the pots in there.
The location of this site is brilliant, being just outside Filey and a short drive to Scarborough, the beaches and views in the area are stunning and we spent most of our time there,
There was loads to do in Scarborough for the kids, look out for a Scarborough guide though it has lots of bogof vouchers for the things to do in the area which make some excursions (such as the Sealife centre) a lot cheaper! And do pay Whitby and Robin Hoods bay a visit – utterly stunning places, we loved them and most definitely will be back.
About 2 miles away in Filey there is a restaurant called Filey Tandoori, it is a bring your own bottle place and the food is wonderful, we loved it so much we went twice and celebrated our first wedding anniversary in there. They were brilliant with our son, very patient while he had his first every curry and they even have a kids menu – can highly recommend.
Overall, I’d give it 5/10 but if the site was busier it would be less because of the lack of room and facilities but the bar /pool/ playground/ train/ arcade would keep older children amused for a short while, I thought calling it a holiday village was stretching it!
The location is amazing and can highly recommend but as there are so many sites in the area I will most likely try one of the others next time.
