Just returned from our second visit to Orchard Farm (our first visit was approx 2-3 years ago!). Must say I was a bit disappointed. The caravans and tents seemed to be squished in to get as many pitches in as possible.
The toilet block looked very dated and never really looked all that clean. The shower was poor, but that may just have been me picking the rubbish one!
Shop was well stocked but I found the open times a bit restricted - Didn't open til 10am on Sunday.
We went to the pub/club but found it too hot and had to sit outside. It was even worse in the children's room.
Lovely fishing pond except young children running round it and throwing things in to it.
The park is lovely and the train ride is nice.
Overall, an 'okay' site but we will not be in a hurry to return.

Arrived Sunday 28th August for a five night stay, the site is situated close to Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington.
The site itself we found expensive at £26 a night with hook upfor two of us and then a further £2 for an awning, we put up a porch awning and still had to pay the £2 per night, yet if we had nothing up, we still had the same size pitch, there is a bar which is small but suitable and also a very small swimming pool, unfortunately another cost, £2 per person, if you want to use it.
The shower block is adequate and fairly clean, but could do with updating.
I personally wouldn't recommend it but as campsites go it has what is needed just expensive for what it is!

We had a two night break recently at this site, and were very impressed by it. Our two year old daughter loved the train and wildlife, the site is well kept.
The toilet and shower block are clean and tidy. Its only a five minute walk into the village, and about a five minute drive to the beautiful quiet beach at Hunmanby Gap.
We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxed stay. We will definitely return to this site.

Had a 2 night weekend break here and have to say that I was left disappointed.
We were in the pitches closest to reception and found that they were very noisy from the busy road, train track and music from the bar. This made for a difficult night with a 3 and 1 year old.
Size of pitches seem generally small and tents were on top of each other.
On the plus side the park is ok although no swings.
Shower block and toilets are clean and shop has the essentials, we forgot our mallet and could purchase one as the ground seemed a little hard.
In summary nice looking site but very noisy.

Just come back after spending five nights stay at orchard farm great place to be. We had a large pitch and had plenty off room. Main shower block was a bit off a walk very clean and plenty off hot water.
The bar is very nice and good prices.Didn't use the swimming pool a bit small but was always busy. The mini railway was a hit with kids and the play park was good to.
We will be going back to this site soon. And the staff are so friendly. The train link that runs through hunmanby is close to the camp site trains don't run at night witch was good but the first one start around seven no need for the alarm clock.
Good thing all the take aways in filey deliver to this site.Great site to be at as you are central to bridlington filey and scarborough

We stayed here for 1 night the weekend after the school holidays so it was pretty quiet. We didn't book or anything and just turned up about 1pm. Reception/check in was nice and easy, £15 for hardstanding, EHU, 2 adults & 1 child for our motorhome. We were able to pick a pitch of our liking.
There was water and waste nearby and a selection of bins are dotted around so you are never too far away.
The electric points were well located as well and functional. There was good hot water in the pot washing area and this was clean. I used the toilet block and this again was clean and everything worked. You need a key for the block which is £2 returnable deposit.
We went to the pool, £1 each and we had the place to ourselves. The environment was nice and warm in there and the pool heated. It was very chlorinated though which made our noses stream and did get a little uncomfortable after 1 hour.
There are amusements, pub etc all in this area and a covered seating area. In the evening there was going to Kareoke on in the bar, we didn't bother going up though as have a small child.
We had a good play on the playpark which was good quality, the train was running on Saturday but not when we were about on Sunday. The rules for the site said 11am leaving so the train might not have started by the time we left (10:20 ish). 11am does seem very early, not bad in a MH but we would have struggled if still in a tent.
The site was easy to find so no problems there, we had a day in Filey on Sunday which is about 10 mins drive tops.
I'm not a big fan of more seasonal sites like this though. They have a different feel compared to 'proper' touring sites, this was summed up by seasonal sited touring caravan nearby coming back, parking their car on the pitch next to us, so across from them and starting to vacuum it out. It's not what you want when starting your BBQ and wouldn't be tolerated on a C&CC site.
We said we would go back to the site again, we liked the pool and would like to have a little ride on the train.

Overall loved this place, tucked away in Hunmanby.
The kids loved the club, mini railway and pool, great park and ride £3.50 all day, as parking in Scarborough is a major pain in the bum cost us about £6/7 for a bout 5 hrs.
I felt the pitches were a bit tight but it was August, don't come here if you want to sit out side your tent/van and get bladdered till 2.30 am, you will get kicked off. As our neighbours did after about 5 people complained. After the first night.
Toilets were fine, situated in the middle of statics, which don't need a toilet block! so you have to walk around a pain if forget your key!
But the kids loved it, and were disappointed to leave to venture down south

Just returned from this site spending a week camping. I was very pleased with this site it is very well kept, brilliant park and the train is fantastic my children really enjoyed it.
The showers were good &clean the only mess was left from other inconsiderate campers. The bar and disco was great a we loved the fact our dog could come into the games area with us.This place has a great feel to it very friendly staff.
The location to filey, scarborugh and bridlington was good. Washing machine £2 a wash and could fit 2 large loads of washing. Pot washing area good.
The only thing that was not great was the pitch sizes were small and could be a little cramped with cars parked next to tent. I would definitely return to this site it has loads for children to do and is really pleasant to look at.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at this site.
The site is well maintained and is kept clean and tidy with rubbish bins being emptied on a regular basis.
We were in a tent pitched on the area in front of the reception and entertainment area. The pitch sizes were small we could only just get our Outwell Nevada M and porch onto the pitch (6m x 3.6m), the neighbouring tents/cars were very close as well.
Noise was an issue these pitches as the road is directly behind pitches 1- 5 and the club bar is open till 11pm so there were people coming back and forth all night. There is also a railway line alongside the road but at least the trains do not run through the night.
All the grass pitches in the area we were in had very little grass and were quite muddy when it rained, tents/vans were obviously being put in the same position all the time(would have helped if pitches were a bit bigger and had a bit more flexibility in siting tents.
We didn't use the main shower block as this was some distance from where we were, we used the facilities next to reception which could be cleaner.
There is no barrier at the entrance so anyone can come & go which can be a bit of a worry if children are being left to play unsupervised.
On a more positive note the site is well located for the village and has a well stocked shop, the children's pay area is large and the site train was fun for the younger kids. The fishing lake was a big hit for our son. The bar has something going on every evening, with a range of entertainment. Staff were always friendly.
We got the feeling that the site was geared to the static caravan users.

We initially went for a one night stay, but stayed an extra night as really enjoyed it. The site is well maintained and a lot of open space around the lake area.
The facilities on the site are good. We had a quick look in the club and is small but looks nice. The children's playground is lovely and the kids absolutely loved it. We went on the miniature railway and again kids all enjoyed it (£2 per person).
We tried the swimming pool (£1 per person), although not very warm kids still enjoyed. We were pitched in 'the Meadow' (basic tent pitch) and although I thought some tents were a little close together, everyone was friendly and most partook in a game of rounders !
Kids mixed well with other kids doing what they should do camping - playing outdoors rounders, frisbie etc and not sat inside watching tv! ! This particular field is pretty close to teh railway line, but they don't run late at night and they start around 7am.
The toilet block could be nearer, but is clean and the washing up area was again clean and tidy. We did have a drive to the electric pitch area when leaving and it did look very crowded.
All in all we loved our stay and will definitely be visiting again. The village of Humanby is a lovely village too with a few nice shops some lovely pubs, especially the RailWay Tavern which does gorgeous well portioned meals!
Its also just a short drive to Filey, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay Flamborough etc. Very well located.
