Overall a great campsite. Shower cubicles were large which meant no getting clothes wet though they did get a bit cool at busy times. Pitches are large with plenty of room. Swimming pool though small was great and the kids loved the train. The shop stocked the essentials and the people were friendly.
The only very small niggle was the number of kids riding on the road with their bikes, I've never seen so many.

We recently stayed on this site. It was our first camping exp with 2 young children. The pitch was big enough as we were with another couple so the tents were pitched together. If we had been on our own we would have struggled with the pitch size. The kids loved the outdoor area to play on. We didn't make use of the swimming pool.
The facilities for washing up were good and kept clean by the other campers.
The toilet block we used was ok but the showers were looking a little grubby but that is down to the other campers as much as the owners.
The only negative comments I have is the amount of dogs. This could get quite noisy when we were trying to put the kids to bed. Also not all the owners were picking up the mess! Next time I will look out for a site which doesn't allow dogs as my son is not a fan especially with the size of some of them.
If you want a lie in on a morning I suggest you bring some ear plugs as with the lake you get the geese and they arrive around 4am - together with the sheep which surround the site it makes for quite a noisy wake up call. The kids loved the animals during the day though so you cant have it both ways.
All in all though it was a fab 1st time experience for us.

To be honest I was slightly disappointed at this site. It’s rated 5 Stars in the one of our Caravan Site Book but more like a 3 Star Site.
Good Points
A very nicely maintained site.
Owners and reception are very welcoming
Lovely play area for kids with a ride on train which costs a £1 ride
Unstocked fishing lake £5 for a full days fishing but don’t expect monster fish
Negative Points
Slightly cramped pitched areas
Toilet block bit far away from tourers and tents
Toilet block not the best but clean and showers not the best push button operated
There seem to be two sets of rules one for tourers and campers and other for seasonals, ie. dogs suppose to be kept on leads at all times, kids playing ball games between caravans which has no ball game signs up every where
Only one Elsan Disposal located at the back of the toilet block
In our opinion poorly lit at night and lacked some sort of night time security.
Club house doesn’t provide bar foods so you will have to go off site to eat.

We have only stayed in the top area close to reception. Can get quite cramped and the toilets and showers are very dated and not the cleanest. My hubby tells me the gents are poor and the loo sits over an open drain, which would explain the strong smell.
If you are in a tourer and don't intend to use the loos/showers then it offers a good base for the price. Nice kids play area and picnic area with small train set up, which small kids love.
We have stayed a few times now and one weekend saw the tent site full and therefore quite noisy.

This is my first review, so please bare with me! we have just come back from a one night stay at orchard farm and it was most enjoyable and cheap! £17.50 for a family of 5! Having recently purchased a large family tent and needed to have a practice run on how to put it up ect we chose orchard farm for its family friendly facilities
We were given a choice of pitches with EHU and our tent & guy ropes almost filled the 7.5m x 7.5m pitch, meaning if the site was full we'd have to leave the car at the overflow car park. Luckily it was quiet but we have been assured that we can prebook a larger pitch for tent & car in future.
The site was clean and well kept, the toilet and shower block also clean inside and out,(£2 returnable deposit for key) and there were ample facilities for dish washing(free) and laundry. The kids found the adventure style playground cool, and my little ones loved the mini steam train, for £1 a go! The club on site was friendly and relaxing if a little old fashioned, but that just added to its charm.
All in all a fantastic intro into camping life and we'll be going back for sure in summer!

We visited the site at August bank holiday and stayed for 6 days.
The staff were really helpful, as I left it too late for booking and they couldn't accommodate the Saturday, but we were told we could get there Sunday, which I was a little put out by as we intended to stay the week, but hey it was my fault for not booking earlier!
We arrived about 3pm and were directed to the top field, there were no tents next to us and a small one over the way. It was next to the dog walking area which was separated by a grassy embankment, so no fouls smells etc! Quite a breezy spot and it took us over an hour to pitch because of the wind.
We travelled with our 2 and 4 year old, so the first night we stayed in the tent, I have to admit you could hear the club but it didn't affect your sleep and people were respectful at the end of their night out.
We had cracking weather for the time were able to visit Scarborough and Filey (this is a stunning seaside town) There was plenty to do, and we more than ate a few times at the Railway pub where its a carvery for £3.95, and is delicious!
The site itself seemed to have a good reputation and had many 'regulars' who were well looked after. The shower and toilet block were really clean, and they had piped radio in there so you could listen to the news and weather forecast while washing etc, plus it made the facilities pleasant. Because we stayed in the top field, it was a bit of a walk considering the reception tents had a toilet a few steps away, but I can understand as the tents were the cheaper pitches, and also if you owned a static caravan you wouldn't want the walk to the clubhouse, which I must add must've been 4 mins away from where we were (so not far), it was just difficult getting a 4 year old to the loo in the middle of the night! All in all we had a fab time, the kids loved the train and the owners are very involved in the up keep of the site so we will be returning next year.

I have just returned from a week at this campsite with my wife and 2 kids. The site was nice enough but pitches were very small, struggled to get cars parked and felt on top of everybody else.
Electric hook up was miles from the pitch we had, and although we managed some other campers struggled with short cables.
The park was excellent for the kids and there was even a miniature train. The indoor pool was not the biggest and no lockers or proper changing facilities and once you braved the sub zero water temperature it was ok. What can you expect for £1.
The toilets weren't great. Too small for the size of the site and the showers were freezing cold! A lick of paint wouldn't go amiss neither.
The shop did not stock bread but the local village was only a few minutes walk away and was lovely.
Overall a nice enough place but pitches and toilets let it down dramatically.

I managed to get a EHU pitch virtually at the last minute so was really pleased. Turned up on Wednesday in pouring rain and was told I was pitched right near the reception. It was a good sized pitch (my tent's 7.5m by 4.75m) though there was a slope at the back. The nearest toilets with a shower were actually in the reception block so really close. The main toilet block, with washing up facilities and laundry facilities, was a very short walk away with a £2 deposit for the key. The site also had a miniature railway (£1pp), a children's playground, a heated swimming pool (£1pp)and a clubhouse/ bar with arcade games (2p a go I think). We used the pool once and it was a little cold and deep for my 3 year old but myself and my 14 year old loved it. Although pitched right by the reception/clubhouse etc we didn't really have much problem with the noise, though we could hear it, and it was over by 12. The staff were really friendly as were other campers & caravanners on site. We had a wander around the site and liked the look of the rest of the areas, though the main camping area might have been a bit small for my tent (their website does say pitches are 7.5m square but I prebooked and made sure of a suitable pitch). They also have a field without hookup that's for tents to come and pitch on a first come first served basis - and that did not appear overcrowded even when 'full'. The site has lots of statics and what maybe seasonal pitches but everyone really seemed to get on well. I can't comment on the toilet/shower facilities in the main block as I never used them but the laundry facilities where fine - though the dryer could have worked more efficiently. This was a great site situated in an ideal location for exploring that part of the coast and I will return again - though hopefully I will get to put up and take down the tent in the dry!

Visited this site the first week of the school holidays. Very nice site in walking distance of Hunmanby. Hunmanby lovely little village with good selection of shops and pubs. Site very nicely looked after with plenty of grassy areas for children to play. Pitch was quite large did not feel at all crammed in. Playarea very good my 7 year old was in it all of the time. Shower block good, not quite up to caravan club standards but kept clean. Shower cubicles quite large but no shower curtain between shower area and changing area, and the showers do tend to go everywhere, so hard to keep clothes dry, also one of the push button showers which you had to keep pressing all the time. Good dishwashing area and laundry facilities. Swimming pool good but could imagine gets very busy in school holiday times, £1 each to use which I thought wasn't bad. Didn't use the bar area so cant comment on the entertainment but not really our scene. Miniature railway very nice and was running most days we were there. Also nice fishing lake and plenty of ducks around. My son loved it here, I usually use caravan club sites but we were very impressed with this site and would go again one of the nicest in the area. Was getting very busy when we left at the weekend. The owners are extremely helpful and nice, we had a bit of a nightmare while we were there, my husband tripped and broke his ankle on the day we were leaving. The owners helped me take the awning down and also towed the caravan of the pitch, would definitely return.

We visited this site for 2 nights in early July with our 2 year old and 14 week old. This was our first camping trip and we chose Orchard Farm because it seemed to have good facilities. We weren't disappointed.
We arrived on a Sunday and were directed to the top field with a map to select our pitch, the site was quiet and we had a good selection and managed to pitch without anybody else close by for the 2 nights. Plenty of EHU points around and within good reach of most pitches.
Toilets/shower blocks were clean, with plenty of loo roll and hot water (however due to lack of temperature control the shower was a bit too hot for our 2 year old!), showers nice and powerful, never had to queue (4 showers each for gents and ladies) in fact barely bumped into anyone in there at all and there were a dozen or so caravans and 6 tents pitched.
Dish wash facilities also plentiful with ample hot water.
Plenty of refuse/recycling points, and water not too far away (we could've pitched closer if we wanted to). Traffic moved around the site nice and slowly.
Didn't use bar or pool facilities so can't comment.
Our toddler loved the playground and since site was quiet she had plenty of space to run around.
We drove through Hunmanby, there's a co-op store, looked a fair size, and at least 3 pubs that we counted but didn't sample.
We spent most of our time in Filey which was around a 15min drive away.
Overall pleased with the site, pitch was flat was bit windy around the top field, no natural shelters. Mixed feelings about the staff, most were very pleasant, 1 lady just came across as really bored.
Would visit the site again, but since its all we've sampled we've got nothing to compare to.
