After a last minute decision this was the only site with a pool & club house with space for our 25' caravan.
Having read the other reviews we were expecting a small pitch - however it was far smaller than we thought it would be, I am not sure if itcomplies to the regulations.
There was no room for our car to go next to the caravan we had to put it in front of the van, as a benefit though if you had forgotten the tv you could always watch and listen to the people's next door!
The club house was good and we enjoyed the entertainment ideally situated for the area, if you don't want to have any site days and will be out sightseeing most day's its not a bad site, but I don't think we will be back

Got back from Orchard Farm on Monday. The site is clean and tidy but pitches are small and ehu point are in the middle of pitches. 6 ehu points on one post which meant you had to trail you hook up behind two other tents and along the grass to your tent. Some campers had to hire an extension lead from the reception for £20.
Driveway to tent area was full of potholes and puddles long walk to toilet area. Only 4 showers in male and female shower block but always clean and never full. Never had to wait to use them. Small play area but not enough for kids to do. Swimming pool, small only 2 cubicles to change in the changing room also doubled as a toilet for the arcade and club.
The good points, happy go lucky site. The not so good points, toilets to far away from pitches. Club small but friendly staff, the little old lady in the kids apple juice bar was lovely. Pitches small had to do a three point turn to get my car out every morning. Recommend one man tent, Reliant Robin with roof rack, only kidding. Not that bad but you will struggle with a big tent and big car. All in all we would go back now we know what to expect .

Have just come back from this site and we found it ideally situated, being about 9 mile to Bridlington one way and the same the other way for Scarborough. The local shops about ten minute walk, the Beach at Filey was about 10 minutes by car.
The facilities on site were good with a big field to play ball games or fly kites and a good play area. It was a fair size site but only one shower and toilet block with four showers although we never had to queue for a shower. The club was quite small but the entertainment was excellent, the older kids were well entertained with a mini arcade and fruit juice bar contained within the club so you could keep an eye on them.
The only small problem we found was there was not enough space to be able to reverse your caravan onto your pitch and we had to uncouple it to push it back by hand. Everybody else that came after us had to do the same even the more experienced caravanners we spoke to had the same problem.

Visited this site for a week over the spring bank holiday. Ideal location for visiting Whitby (40mins), Scarborough (15mins), Filey (5mins) and Bridlington (20mins). Site facilities are of a good standard plenty of space for the kids to play, narrow gauge railway, fishing pond. The main toilet block was kept reasonable considering how many people they pack onto the site but could do with a little updating/maintenance.(Dodgy lighting, missing tiles off the tops of shower cubicle walls) Pitch space whether it be hard standing or grass with electric hook up leaves a lot to be desired. Other reviews mention being packed in like sardines. You are, if you were the lucky ones the rest of the pitches are even tighter. If your unit consists of Caravan, Awning and car you will have difficulty parking your car during the peak season. This is the biggest let down on site. A case of keeping the nightly price cheaper and stacking them high rather than charge a little more and pitch fewer units. The staff on site were pleasant the amusement arcade was aimed at the 14 years and below age group (which was good for us). The bar and entertainment was reasonably priced and DJ Rio was good with the kids. Takeaways in Hunmanby consist of Fish and Chips, Chinese or PIzza and offered good quality food for takeaway. Would we visit again: Only if the pitch sizes changed

Just had to write and let people know my veiws of this site. First, it's a laid back friendly site with quite a lot to offer and as always, has down sides too. Ideal for families plenty of entertainment with disco's, amusments and play area. For adults a nice friendly lounge area. Plenty of eating places near by serving good food and being close to Filey, Scarbourgh, Whitby and Bridlington it's an ideal location. But you can expect to be packed tight together during peak periods with little parking space if any (as in my case) make sure you have extention leads if you want electric as you may have some distance to your supply, (you can hire these at the reception £20) Little things like 20p to wash up is a bit petty and should included in the fees, toilets need a more regular cleaning, better lighting needed most of all, showers for the disabled with better access, overall a good site.

Our first time away camping and we had a wonderful time - the electric pitches were all booked up so found ourselves ( 2 adults and 2 children) on the meadow. Only 4 other tents so loads of space for the boys to play football and frisbee. Really peaceful and sheltered by trees and still had access to all amenities - in fact close to loos and wash up area. The electric areas were packed in like sardines and really noisy. Have to say the shower blocks could do with cleaning twice daily but we decided to just get on and the boys stayed in same clothes for the weekend ! The village shops are a good 10 minutes away but have everything you need . Got a great surprise when running the water for washing up - the radio came on ! What a super time we had for our first camping trip and the staff were very welcoming. Would definitely go back to the meadow - without electrics as it was so peaceful and close to everything.

Having spent the Easter weekend on the campsite with my wife and three children I would like make a few comments good and bad. The bad points were the cramped pitches and close proximity to your neighbours giving you little privacy and rather noisy at night although in fairness it was quiet after midnight. The site is very dark the lighting around the foot paths was either not working or not on which was not ideal for my young children to venture to the toilet block in the dark. I think the site would benifit from a few hedges and shrubs to break the pitches up and improved lighting. The toilet block was only cleaned once a day which was not good enough and the facilities are in need of updating. Having to scratch about looking for 20p coins to wash the dishes is a pain and the cost would be better incorporated in the site fees. The access to coastal walks are not as described and to far to walk with small children but are only a short drive away.
The good points are the play area and train for the children and a very good bar area for the grown ups although nothing for the older children except for the disco. The site is well situated for the surrounding attractions and coastline and has easy access from the main routes.

Just spent the weekend on this site. I phoned on the Friday morning and was told - yes, just turn up we have loads of space, find a pitch you like and come to the pub to pay when you're set up. Well being a yorkshire lad I didnt need a second invitation to go to the pub ! We were on hardstanding which was lucky as there was torrential rain overnight, but it drained well and never flooded the pitch. The kids play area is one of the best I've seen at any site. The mini train was running and we also went fishing in the lake. There was entertainment on in the club on both Friday and Saturday which was surprising as its low season. The kids went swimming as well which was only £1 each. I really like this site. The only 2 downsides are : 1. Its very dark on a night and could definitely do with some more lighting. 2. The shop is tiny.

I am of the same opinion as Elainevs we were relatively disappointed with the cleanliness of the toilets and showers plus a very muddy pitch, Also another gripe it was 20p every time you washed your pots and doing this maybe 3 times a day adds up over a week would maybe better to add to tariff instead. The site and the setting I must say is lovely shame about the toilets. The reception staff although very polite and friendly when toilet issue was mentioned literally informed me you cant please everyone. Shame really when site itself is very well kept.

Well I feel a little bad after reading some of the more recent reports but here goes. We were right at the end of the touring site, a moody part with nothing but wet soggy grass and mud. The toilets were a good 5 min walk and were wen we were there in a unclean state. I didnt feel comfortable taking my 4 kids in there really. Dont expect miricles but especially if its raining etc they should clean them more than once per day which is what they do, the toilets are shut for an hour each day for cleaning. There are some good points. Location is ok, (def not a 5 min walk to supermarket etc.at least 20! Dont attempt to walk to the beach which they suggest. Its miles down single track roads and then over a main road.) the train running around the pond is a nice touch, the club etc is ok but rather small Anyway mixed feelings on the park. May been better in better weather. One good thing is they will give you a double pitch if you have a large tent.
