Having read the reviews decided to try this site. Bad move, small pitches no room for car, even those with tents were having trouble parking! and the pitches were too close to each other. The toilets and showers were OK but could be a bit cleaner. 20p to wash up dishes. There is a Club /bar and a swimming pool (closes after 4pm). Kids play area with a small train and a fishing pond. There was also a lot of noise mainly due to inconsiderate campers with TV's on at high levels and late night returning revellers.
However if you like staying on a site close to other campers with a club house and entertainment then this is for you, just was not our scene. Just be aware that this site seems to have poor drainage, and after a night of rain most of the tent pitches were awash for a good 24 hours.

Great site! Great owners, very helpful and friendly. The showers & loos were always clean and well kept, they even had piped Yorkshire radio. The laundry had 2 washing machines and I tumble dryer, but they were great AND at only £2 a wash, the cheapest I've used so far. The dryer was 50p for 4 mins. There was also a freezer standing in the pot wash for everyone to use. The only negative was the 20p a time to wash the dishes. But our 2 children loved boiling the kettle to wash our dishes and made 50p a day from it. If we go again, were going to ask to be further away from the Club House, we were only about 100 yards away, as it got pretty loud and went on well past 11.30 pm most nights. But everyone in there had a great time.

Our favourite site. There is nothing negative to say about it. Toilets were clean. Showers were clean. There was a train running around the small lake on the w/e which my son loved. Will definitely be going back every year.
p.s. hope you don't mind being woken up by quacking ducks in the morning, my son thought it was great. He is 2.

Very nice site with a good pub, entertainment, pool, large playing area for kids and nice clean showers but the men's could be a bit more private. The tent pitches are a little bit on the small side {we could not fit our car on after tent was up}.
We now have a caravan, and will be going back this summer. Probably one of the nicest sites we stayed on last year, highly recommended!

We have been to this site twice in 14 months. We have just returned from the end of season weekend. We have found this site to be very enjoyable it has an site swimming pool which is clean and warm - really had great fun! The on site pub had great end of season entertainment. The comedian was very funny and the free food welcome! The pitches whilst ours was grass, were level and gave each unit alot of space. The shower block was close by and clean & tidy. The cost of the site was resonable and we will be visiting again.

We had a great time the place and the people were lovely. We will definatly go back. This was our first time in a caravan. Only one thing that could have been better, the pub was too smokey for us, it's not nice round children - otherwise fantastic. Toilets were clean. Didn't use showers as we used our own. Shop was good value. Lots for kids to do. Swimming pool was great.

May 2004 What a lovely site, it's quiet and very nice. We were located on the last pitch, so we only had people on 1 side. The toilets / showers were clean and tidy. The swimming pool was great for the kids and so was the play area, we could watch children from tent, so nice and safe. Close enough to the seaside, 10 mins to Filey, with Bridlington and Scarborough a bit further away. Will definitely be returning. Thankyou very much for a delightful week.

July 2005 Just got back from this great little site, had a fantastic week. The site has everything you could need it is clean & well kept. However the main toilet block is in need of a refit & the pitches can be a little on the small side but apart from that I would highly reccomend it & we will definitely be revisiting.

August 2004 We have just returned from a stay at the site and were disappointed given the high star rating. From a fire safety point of view, the pitches are dangerously close together, let alone a degree of privacy. The 'superior' toilet block has to be accessed with a deposit paid key (the alternative 'open access' is one shower and two toilets with poor lighting and ventilation). You have to pay for hot water to wash up - what are you actually paying for on your pitch? - surely this is a basic utility? The laundry facilities were inadequate(only one dryer)and somewhat expensive. Having said that, the site has a good play area and entertainment every night and seems to be very popular.
