I had read the reviews on this site previous to my visit, , and the one that stood out more than any is the pitch sizes being too small. I think the owner is trying to get as much from the site as possible. We were pitched on no 92 just at the rear of the reception and there was one behind us that we could not see how anybody could get a car and caravan on to it whilst we were there (pitched).
Other than that the reception was good and friendly, toilets and showers were spotless, didn't use the showers as we only stayed one day. We walked into town and its about 30 mins to get into the main part of the town were all the life is a (a chip shop and a couple of pubs) it was a bit dead to be honest, and that's why we went home early. It was our first visit to filey, and we didn't like it, dogs not allowed on main beach, but there was hardly anybody else on it either, the dog beach was very busy, full of people enjoying the bit of sunshine and dogs running around enjoying it. Deffo not going again, like whitby better.

We stayed here for two nights so we could spend some time with friends who were staying in Filey. The site is in a good location for Filey which is just a five minute drive away. It is good value for money and the play area kept my 2 and 4 year old entertained for a good hour or two while my husband pitched up! The owners were really friendly and helpful. Our motor movers failed so the guy pulled us in with his tractor. We paid £ 5 to extend our stay on the Sunday until 6pm. The site was adequate for our needs but I wouldn't return due to the pitches being very tight and crammed together. The toilets and showers were ok but could do with more frequent cleaning. We didn't enjoy the fish and chips from the on-site van - frozen crinkly chips and poor quality fish.

Our 2nd visit to Muston Grange Caravan Park and we were greeted by Claire who remembered us from our previous visit which immediately made us feel at home. She is friendly and helpful and puts herself out in every way possible. She gave us the opportunity to choose one of the available pitches but advised us which she considered to be the most suitable for our needs. All the pitches have their own hook up and water supply and we were close to all the amenities.
The showers and toilets were excellent which had recently been refurbished. Tokens for the showers were 3 for £1 and needed only one token for a shower with plenty of hot water and ample time.
A lovely quiet site with well kept grass areas and spacious pitches. It is situated within walking distance from Filey (15-20mins. ) and a short walk to the main road to catch a bus to Bridlington or Scarborough.
I would definitely recommend this site and can't wait till our next visit.
The owners are doing a great job!

We have now had three visits to this site and on each occasion have found the managers to be polite, warm and friendly. The site itself has hard standings complete with a water and electric hook up for each pitch. The toilet/shower blocks and laundry are all kept clean, the waste points for toilet and waste water are easy to use.
There is a track to the side of the camp with a 10 to 15 minute walk to the beach. I shall continue using this site and would recommend it to anyone.

This site seems to have quite a lot of seasonal pitches. Would recommend if you book this site that you ask not to be placed on a small pitch as these are very small indeed.
If you have an awning you end up parking your car on the strip of grass and you end up so close that it is almost impossible to open your car door without hitting the next caravan. It is extremely hard to manoeuvre your caravan into place as the road between the caravans was very narrow, we were lucky that two other caravan owners helped us. It also explains the notice on reception asking you not to use any domestic appliances in the awning would be extremely worried if there was a fire.
Tokens for the showers are available from a machine at reception 40p each or 3 for £1, one token lasts about 8 mins. Not sure if it was because we were there over the bank holiday but the toilets/showers were not very clean and the rubbish bins were overflowing.
To finish on a positive note the area is lovely with a short walk to a park which has crazy golf, trampoline and other things to amuse children and a further walk from the park is a lovely beach and promenade with a paddling pool.
Visited Filey and Scarborough during our stay lovely seaside towns. We will definitely visit this area again but won't be staying on this site.

This is our first season at muston Grange, although up to now the weather has been awful.
The welcome has been warm and friendly. Claire and Jim are always around and any query is dealt with.
There are good showers and toilet blocks, and the showers are tokens available from the shop or a machine if the shop is closed. The blocks are well cared for and the water is warm.
There is a chip van on site Monday Wednesday and friday. The shop sells basics.
It is about 10 - 15 fifteen minutes walk to the beach or a little park.
There is a very good bus service at the end of the lane to Filey shops and cafes.
There is a small market on Friday morning.

We arrived at Muston Grange without booking, as we'd hoped to get into our preferred site at Filey Brigg. They were full and we held out little hope of finding anywhere to stay. Fortunately for us, Muston Grange had a spare pitch and I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities which included not only ehu but a standpipe and grey waste disposal.
We received a very warm welcome despite not having booked, very good customer service indeed.
Although the showers require tokens (3 for £1 at time of writing) the cost of the pitch was extremely good value for money making the overall cost cheaper than our original option.
The shower and toilet blocks were spotless and the water in the shower lovely and warm. Plenty of loos, basins and showers.
It was a bit of a hike into Filey centre but it was a pleasant enough walk and a taxi was only £3 into town (which we used when it was raining).
Overall a great value for money site, excellent pitch and shower facilities, will definitely visit again.

Just got back after a week at Muston grange. Found site to be clean most of the time. Elsen disposal point was full to almost overflowing, Think this might be down to heavy rainfall. Would benefit with some sort of roof / cover. Disabled toilet was not cleaned all week and waste water at unit blocked with gravel. Also found pitch too small and very close to other caravans, causing difficulty in manoeuvring and parking car, due to this reason I can see why the site owner would be very worried about electrical items being used in awnings (fire hazard. ) Site was in a very good location. And apart from above comments. The Chippy was great and we had a nice time.

Firstly this site does accept tents. For tent prices look at the caravan prices and I think you knock off £2. There are no electric pitches for tents though on the field. We booked this site as we used to have a static caravan on the Lowfield farm site for 25+ years (which you can see from MG) so we knew where we were.
The one way system to the field can be challenging if its your first visit as you tend to miss the turning whilst trying to look at the map on the roads which had many twists and turns plus trying to mind the odd caravanner walking in the middle of the roads. The field is very big, and also contains a children's play park however the problem is most people let their dogs loose there and fail to pick up what ensues.
The toilet block next to the tent field is outdated and smelt damp at times. When we complained about the state of the gents cubicles we were told to use the 'Red' block. However I was told the owner was planning to refurb this over the closed winter period. It is much needed.
There is a small laundrette type thing (for a charge) with a clothes dryer and sinks to wash up in (as basic as you can get). The toilets doors are locked and require a key which you can get for £5 refundable deposit. There are only 2 sinks, one of which did not have hot water. There could be a queue for these especially after meal times.
You can pitch your tent anywhere on this field and also park your car next to it.
It is a short walk into Filey itself and quite pleasant. However it does lack a pub in close proximity and the nearest proper shop is around half a mile to a mile away.
Entry and exit is by a keycard which you get at reception and also have to pay a deposit for I think. The site is mainly for tourers and a very large majority stay on site all season. At the time we went there were only 2 other tents, joined the next day by 2 more. Even though everyone was spaced out, the arriving ones chose to squeeze next to us for some unknown reason.
For the price we paid and the facilities we got we would not return here. If the site added EHU points, the prices were more reasonable and the toilet facilities were improved then we would consider returning.

On arrival all seemed ok, looked lovely reception staff were Friendly, we were given a pitch number and directions.
It was a corner pitch, our jockey wheel would have been inches away from the narrow roadside, we didn't have enough room to even pitch our porch awning and goodness knows where we were supposed to park our car, as there was no room between pitches.
My husband walked back to reception and explained, they didn't argue, they told him of two or three pitches that were available and asked him to let them know which one we picked.
We turned into where a couple of the pitches were, only to find we were unable to manoeuvre our caravan onto the pitch because of the close proximity of all the caravans ( we have caravanned for over 30 years and my husband works at a caravan storage facility where he tows/ parks caravans on a daily basis )
However a man on a lawnmower was very pleasant, he returned with a small tractor and towed our caravan into position.
After we got sorted, we became very concerned about the safety aspect of how close we were to other caravans, if there was ever a fire it would spread quickly as there was no space between each pitch.
Then we realised that there were two pitches next to ours that were vacant, but knew they were booked from the following day, we couldn't work out how we would be able to get our outfit out when these pitches were filled, it would be a tight fit getting the car out on it's own !
Most of the caravans there are seasonal pitches.
The walk into Filey wasn't a easy one for anyone with disabilities or with a pushchair, it was a narrow uneven dirt track, people with motor bikes drove down it, it took us 25 minutes to reach the cliffs of Filey, which had a nice play park for children, then another 5 to 10 minutes to reach the town, but I would imagine in wet weather the track would be difficult.
