Just spent three nights at Muston Grange with hubby two kids aged 13 and 10 and dog! Had a great sized pitch for our 24ft van and didn't feel close to other units.

Shade of trees was lovely and kept caravan cool. Found site to be lovely and quiet, clean and tidy, wardens were great and although one of the shower blocks was as described by warden "a little dated", were clean and tidy.

Didn't see the weeds or old mouldy caravans described in previous reviews and the playground was a nice area for younger and older kids. The location of the site is great. Lovely walk down the nearby footpath to Filey and helps to save on the petrol and parking.

Do agree that irresponsible dog owners spoil the walk by not picking up after their four legged friends but still nice to be able to access the town, park and beach so easily. Paid a total of £51 for van, awning family and dog for the three nights and will definitely return

We submitted an earlier review about the site and all was going well. However, unfortunately the facilities are not being maintained and the toilet / shower blocks would benefit from a thorough clean. There is a lot of ingrained dirt on the floor and often on the wall area of the shower, which is a shame. The site is in an excellent location and you can walk into FIley which is a massive bonus especially at holiday time. It's just a shame it gets let down by the lack of attention to detail. This has been mentioned on site so hopefully things will improve and the toilet block/showers will start to look clean again.

Lovely drive up to the site and it is a huge site!

I was met by the very friendly owners, £5 refundable deposit for the keys to the toilet and barrier - make sure you take extra money in with you. Also if you have an awning to put up it is an extra £2.50p

They have a little shop inside the reception also which has all your basic needs, coffee, loo roll, cleaners etc.

Nice little walk down a path but beware, there is a lot of doggy doo doo everywhere, cyclists also use the path and some corners are blind so keep an ear out!

The pitches are all hard standing, they are very close together and the pitches are full of weeds. I ended up pulling a few out because they were too long! There was quite a bit of dog faeces around the site. Each pitch has electric hook up and water tap. Poor TV reception.

There were a few broken bricks in places also.

The toilet blocks were large and spacious and there was always plenty free - which I'm not surprised about. Beige tiled walls and floors. But, they were dirty. The showers are push buttons which stayed on for roughly 30 seconds which it is no good when you have a 2 year old your trying to wash! The room got very cold once the showers had stopped running and the floor is very slippy when wet. As my daughter found out! So make sure you have good grippy shoes on! (and don't take them off when showering!)I decided against showering in there the following morning and washed in the campervan instead.

The play area was ok, kept my daughter entertained for an hour had the swings, slide etc.

There was a fish and chip van that turned up on the Saturday night, and it was the best chippy I've had! The fish was huge and plenty of chips!

To be honest, we were a bit disappointed from the word go.

It seems that the site is under new ownership, but I'm not sure of their experience.

On arrival, there had been some disagreement between the staff and a tourer, which they endeavoured to tell me all about!

Anyway, site was poorly maintained unfortunately and I have to agree with the previous writer about the weeds! Most of the pitches are very tight together and actually almost impossible to back even our small 17ft caravan into. In fact one guy run over the tie-ropes of his neighbours awning, (then made a run for it!)

Too many seasonal pitches that are very unkempt with mouldy green caravans and awnings and very overgrown! Most unsightly really!

The wash block was full of cobwebs and if I'm totally honest, in the 6 days we were there, we didn't actually see anyone cleaning them.

There were 5 industrial sized bins for the whole site, we got there on a Friday and they were already overflowing. So, you can imagine how bad things were by the following Wednesday when they still hadn't been emptied! Very smelly to say the least and these were stood against the toilet block.

Sadly, what could be a lovely little site is of a very poor standard and not one we'll be heading back to.

I was greeting with a warm friendly reception from the owners. Was very pleased with the shower blocks, which have 5 showers, for which you buy tokens from reception 3 for £1. One token lasted me more than long enough, I never ran out of water. The block was very clean. There was a plug near the large mirror, so I could use my luxury camping items like straighteners!

It was a very quiet site considering it was bank holiday. The children's play area looked well equipped. It took 14 minutes to walk to the beach down a track. Was very happy with the site have booked again.

I thought I would provide an up to date review. We have taken a seasonal pitch here and just had our second weekend. Apparently the site is under new management and having met the couple can honestly say that they are both very friendly and approachable. The site is very clean and tidy and the toilets are spotless - I know it is early in the season but if this standard is maintained there should be no problem. There is also a small play area for the children which is well equipped. We are happy with the size of our pitch and it is very handy being able to walk with the family and dog into Filey down the footpath close by. All in all a very positive start to our Season!

Visited at Easter. Campsite full approx 250 units. Not much space between vans, no electric/gas appliances allowed in awnings.

Site liable to be waterlogged in heavy rain, grass very long and if cut tramples into van. Electric supply(10A) cannot cope at busy periods so frequent power cuts for hours on end. Wardens nice.

Toilets tolerable.

Site very near to Filey center and beach.

Lots of trees on site so some pitches are in the shade, TV reception poor.

Could be made into a top site.

 Visited at Easter

Site is close to Filey and the beach, easy walking distance.

Site was a little cramped but was Easter so bound to be busy.

We did have the occasional power cut, but just reset the trip switch.

Toilet and showers clean even with all the Easter visitors.

A small children's play area.

The bus runs outside the site entrance and the train calls at Filey so no problems if you don't want to take the motorhome with you.

Would use this site again

We are seasonal campers here and have seen the worst of the weather Britain can throw at us, Wellington boots are essential, but it all adds to the fun

Mandy and Steve are excellent managers and patrol the site on regular intervals. It is very handy for all resorts nearby and within walking distance of Filey Town (10 mins) probably longer on the way home, due to the many pubs, all, mostly dog / children friendly.

The beach is fantastic with a massive area for dogs to burn excess energy. The site is well maintained and and toilet blocks cleaned regularly. Bonus is that you can keep your awning up all season.
Most take aways deliver to the site for a nominal fee. It truly is a friendly site and a swipe card ensures that the safety of all. We just love it.

Busy but quiet site with not much room between pitches. Each pitch has own hookup, water and waste and all hard standing (compact stone)

Note that 230v electrical items are not allowed in awnings due to fire safety. I.E. Heaters, Lighting, TV, Fridge

Toilet block was always kept clean with 40p for showers.

Small shop on site & a kids playground.

Site is within walking distance to Filey and the beach.

Will use site again but mainly because its walking distance to Filey.

Price £16.50 pn plus extra for awnings and dogs.
