We recently sited our touring caravan here for the season, it is beautiful, we love it.
The site and facilities are spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The site is peaceful and situated in a delightful area, with a little path leading to Filey beach.
There’s Filey golf Club, pitch and put and Foot golf along the path as well as a lovely park and play area. Walk a little further and you reach the heart of Filey.
Scarborough and Bridlington are close by and there’s a handy bus stop just outside the site entrance.
We are so happy that we were able to join the site on a seasonal pitch. Perfect!

Location for Filey is good 20 min to walk to beach.
We where not advised when booking that electric was extra, had to paid £10 for card, which went into electric box and if any credit left on they refund you when you leave. £31 per night plus electric bit much for site that is very dated and run down.
Toilet block very dated and not very clean, sign as you go in says PLEASE ENSURE YOU USE HAND SANITISER, and no sanitiser in slight, no loo roll in 5 toilets and no soap in dispensers at sinks.
Warden took phone call while trying to checkout, and was a friend and carried on with call, while waited to check out.
Over all site over priced, run down and not looked after.

Handy for getting into Filey took us about 15 minutes to walk. Easy enough to find but not with the Satnav it took us to a different site.
Had a nice welcome and our pitch was ok with each having water, EHU and waste water drain. Thought it was quite expensive to start with but then you get a smartcard for your electric which has to be prepaid but you do get the balance back. Also you need shower tokens at 3 for a quid which I didn't realise until I was stood naked pushing the button. The toilet block needs some TLC and most of the toilets wouldn't flush for some reason although there was water in the cistern this caused the toilets not to be as clean as they could have. Plenty of people seemed to be enjoying themselves but I doubt we'll be back.

Have been coming here for many years
Site definitely going downhill
Some toilet cubicles have out of order on them and second block now closed! Wardens ok but not as welcoming as clair and jim.
Good plus is it's location

Easy to find site and easy access. The site put credit on your 'electricity card' rather than charge a set fee, and the meter is on your pitch. This was easy to load but I hadn't realised how quickly the credit would be used up. Luckily even though it was out of hours when the inevitable happened, the office were happy to open up and pop more credit on my card and also gave me a guide to explain the usage. The pitches have their own water and waste which is very useful. I found the bathrooms rather utilitarian, a bit school block(ish), but they were perfectly clean and adequate, just no frills. The site was very water logged - no fault of theirs, it was just an exceptionally wet bank holiday. I found some of the pitches to be a bit 'scrubby' and they were quite close to each other, it looked a bit cramped. It was a 20 minute walk into Filey, but the bus stop is at the end of the lane and you can get a bus to Scarborough or other places from here which we did and was very nice. Also a nice touch, the bus driver saw us walking towards the end of the lane and signalled that he would wait for us, which was very kind as we thought we would be stuck with a bit of a wait until the next one came. It was a convenient site, but I don't think I would revisit - this is just a personal choice.

Just had a long weekend break at Muston. Originally booked 3 nights on line, but decided to have an extra night at short notice so rang the site the day before. We arrived at 7pm which wasn't a problem as a warden lives next to the entrance. A £10 deposit is required for the electric card, barrier card and toilet block key (however we didn't get) and didn't know until one morning I needed to get in!
Site was quiet most pitches seemed to be taken by seasonal bookings. Wifi was good, serviced pitches for water and drainage. As we had a shower in our caravan, couldn't comment on the showers, however these were 50p a time. Electric for the 4 nights we were charged £3. 67. Close to Filey and the main road from Bridlington to Scarborough. We shall revisit this site as couldn't really fault it

On arrival we were given our pitch but found 2 cars parked on our pitch so had to chase about to find the owners to get them moved. The site looks to have lots of tourer vans pitched for the season. Whilst the pitch was level and big enough to site our VW van and awning you do feel quite close to pitches either side of you. The facilities are good and kept clean and the electric is on a smart card system we used £5 over five days which makes you realise how much some sites are making from you when they charge £3 per day! Showers are hot but you do need to purchase tokens 40p per shower.
The site is ideal for walking into Filey
I would use the site again

Have just returned from a wonderful stay at this site. We visited with some other motorhomes and the site tried to keep us all together.
This is one of the oldest sites in England, being first opened in 1934 and there is a plaque in the office commemorating it.
Each pitch had hard standing, it's own water tap, it's own drain point and the hookup was amazing, using a pre-pay card.
I hope that the pre-pay card is adopted by other sites because it is a great idea, we put £10 onto the card, which was then loaded into the hookup. At the end of the week stay we re-inserted the card and transferred the balance which we had not used back onto the card. The office then refunded the balance back to us as cash. We used about £1 / day. Security is excellent with a pass card to raise the barrier.
Filey is just down the lane about 15 minutes away, the golf club is 5 minutes away and the Fairy Garden tea room is about 50 yards away. The bus stops at the entrance to the lane with buses to Bridlington and Scarborough.
The staff are amazing and should be praised for their kindness.

Sardines; squashed into very small pitches, hard standing unkempt, weeds growing & muddy not been raked over or maintained. Roadways very narrow and no offer of support to pitch. We didn't use our awning but we would have been pegging out onto next doors car.
Extra payment for electric, card system, tokens for showers with a push button so not an uninterrupted flow of water.
Shower block superficially clean but round taps were minging as was areas of toilet, not a thorough cleaner. One small bin that was already full at 9 am, not sure if it had been emptied but judging by the number of sardines on site they need a bigger bin.
If the sun comes out we will probably have to put our chairs on the roadway as there isn't anywhere else for them.
This site looks to be full of seasonal pitches that have been here for some years. They maybe don't realise that the standard out there has improved greatly over the years and this one is certainly the bottom of the pile.
Wi fi is charged 12, 48 hour or weekly, unfortunately you can only register 1 appliance for your money but it doesn't tell you that, had I known I would have registered with my phone and not the laptop.
The sad part is that despite the review writers it would appear that no one in management is reading
Them or even bothered as nothing seems to have changed in quite some time.
Should have read reviews before booking and paying for 3 nights, we will not be returning and may even go home early.

It didn't start well, our touring caravan was allocated to pitch we couldn't pitch it on without getting the car stuck in the mud as we don't have a motor mover, the second pitch was no better as the width and angle of the access road made it impossible for vehicle and caravan to actually access. On the third attempt we were given a pitch off the main site road where there were no such problems. It seemed to me that maybe this was being saved for some reason as I couldn't see why we were not given it initially. Things picked after that, the site staff were very friendly and in the end very helpful. The site seemed very packed with what were obviously mainly unoccupied seasonal vans and not all that many tourers. The security was great with an electronic key card to gain entry and exit (deposit required). After initial trepidation the method for using the electric hook up using a pre-paid card was actually quite enlightening. After normally being charged anywhere between £3 and £4 per night for electric on most sites it was pleasing to see we used just under £5 in electricity for a three night stay using all electric heating, hot water, electric wok and steamer along with all the other ancillary power uses. Slightly disappointing that the showers were charged extra so we used the facilities in caravan. Access to Filey was easy along a slightly muddy bridle path, it took all of 15mins. Loved Filey as we were there (accidentally) for the folk music festival, so lots of live acts and fine beer. On balance we would consider using this site again.
