Toilets and shower block basic but functional, you need to take plenty of 20 pence pieces for washing up and showering.

Large open spaces for children to play, great relaxed atmosphere for a chilled out and stress free camping trip with great shops, pubs and restaurants near by and most importantly amazing beaches.

We love the area and go back every year, counting the weeks until are next trip.

'Remember strong tents only it gets windy'

You are allowed to pitch anywhere and have fires' off the ground' great location, child friendly but average facilities.

Just stayed one night at Bodfan Farm.

Was greeted by Alwyn the owner who introduced him self by name and was very friendly.

We camped away down in a little hollow near some stored caravans so were a bit sheltered from the wind, but bear in mind the campsite is at the top of a hill.

For £15 a night the campsite was quite basic.

20p for a shower a bit hit and miss, it took me 3 goes(60p) to get my shower going.

The toilet block is separate and a bit of a pain as it is on the opposite side of the field to the showers.

Water for washing up is also 20p but you have to wait 10 mins for it to heat up, Tip use the left hand heater as it is on a per unit meter rather than a timer and 20p will heat it up several times. Alternatively there is free hot water in the basins in the shower block.

There is a spin drier for clothes (free) and a tumble drier(£1).

The beach at Rosneigr is lovely with some water sports and the village has several shops, pubs and cafes/restaurants

Rhosneigr is a great place for water sports and plane spotting. First time we have stayed at Bodfan and to be honest the £14 per night was overpriced.

The facilities just didn't justify the cost. Toilets and showers are basic, it's like stepping back to the Eighties. They are just block sheds with whitewashed walls, clean but so basic.

The fields are quite uneven, it was difficult to find a even pitch. Rhosneigr is a pretty windy place, so choose the pitch carefully. Also, the site is on the flight path for the RAF base. So when the jets are flying it can get very noisy, not good if you have little ones needing an afternoon nap.

We won't be staying at Bodfan again, the facilities need bringing up to date.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend be warned the site can get very windy but that's Anglesey and the grounds quite hard so don't forget your mallet. For four people it was £28 per night although the warden did give us a little discount I still feel this was quite expensive for what you get.

The toilet block is in what looks like an old cow shed with a tin roof, the shower block was clean but still for the price ive been to better.

The site is very large and slopey but you can find level ground and if its windy the best place to pitch a tent is around the edge of the field on the right hand side as it gives you the best shelter. It was quite busy when we went with large groups and it had a good atmosphere. The warden came round every morning and was friendly and helpful.

Its a great base for water sports the beach is just a short walk (Which is just beautiful) and so are shops, cafes and restaurants. We went to mojo's for a cuppa and it was lovely and the Y Morfa restaurant was excellent (don't be put off by the pub, the restaurants up stairs and a lot quieter, you may need to book).

The only other down fall to this site is there didn't seem to be any recycling bins.

My family have been visiting this site for over 30 years and one of the main reasons for this is it has not changed very much in that time. The Pritchard Family have run this site and has been passed for father to son. It has the basic facilities needed Ie showers and toilets, washing and drying facilities and the hook ups are of very good delivering 8 amps. There is also a well fenced off dog exercising area. This site is one of the jewels of Anglesey. Its always very clean the owners Alwyn and Rhianne will help at any time, you are a five minute walk from the town and one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the Island which also boasts Boat launching facilities and a very high quality surfing and wind surfing school. The sites location is central to many attractions the Island has to offer. Nightlife is taken care of in the local bars and restaurants.

All in all a brilliant place for a family holiday

Have just visited over a very blustery weekend and found the site to be extremely windy, even when the town and beach were much less so. Previous reviewers fail to mention that the site is extremely sloping and most flat pitches are at the tops of hills where the wind is at its worst.

The showers cost 20p and were unpredictable - one shower lasted 7 minutes, the next only 3, leaving me covered in soap, and on another occasion the machine swallowed 40p and failed to work at all.

Washing up is fraught - the boiler takes another 20p, but you then have to wait 10 minutes for it to heat the water.

On the positive side, the grass was short and the site quite well maintained; facilities in town very handy and the beach lovely.

This was our first camping trip to Anglesey and Bodfan farm did not disappoint.

Alwyn was always busy, but made time for a chat and was very laid back. The site was in an ideal location-5 minute walk to the beautiful 'surfy' feel village of Rhosneigr which has the basic amenities - we highly recommend the chip shop and it even has a high street store in the shape of 'fat-face'!

The beach is dog friendly and has an area with rock pools which the kids loved and also a lot of shore, a bay and dunes. We visited near by Newborough which was a great day out.

The campsite itself has basic but good facilities- as previous reviewers have mentioned. My children loved feeding the horses, making new friends and playing outdoors so didn't miss a park or games/tv room in any way, shape or form.

This site is great value for money as children were only £1 and dogs go free. Plus no extra charge for kitchen/utility tents or cars, and as a family with 5 children and a dog this site was ideal!

My only niggle was myself and majority of dog owners adhered to the signs and rule of keeping our furry friends on a lead, but a few did not.

This is the second time that we have been to this park and will definitely not be our last, we will be back next August again. We had an elec hook up right opposite the toilets. Our name was on the hook up so was easy to find. Showers are a bargain at 20p which gives a good hot shower. Toilets were always clean. The owners are fantastic and very laid back. Our neighbours were great, and hopefully will see them again next year. We had our GSD dog with us and this park is an excellent dog friendly camp, they even provide a place to take your dog to the toilet! It's a short walk to the beach which is also dog friendly and very clean. For those not wanting to eat out, there is a large supermarket in Holy Head

Just got back from two good weeks staying at this place. Facilities are pretty basic but always clean and well kept. We were in the top field with the hookups, which was well sheltered from the wind but the bottom field was a more attractive affair.

Our stay was troubled by a really anti-social group of campers who thought we'd enjoy their guitar playing and (bad)rendition of 'American Pie' and they might have been right if they hadn't started singing from 11:45pm onwards. One night of that sort of thing I can put down to high spirits but two nights in succession shows a complete lack of respect for other campers and a mental age of about 12 (sorry to all you good 12 year olds out there).

The next morning, I went to see Alwin, the farmer, and he was brilliant. He welcomed the complaint - thanked me for it, in fact - and said he would deal with it that morning.

We didn't hear a peep out of the other group after that as Alwin later explained that they were given their one and only warning. He checked in regularly with me after that to make sure they were compliant.

But don't let one selfish group put you off. This is a cracking little site that is light on rules but well managed and very good value for money.

And Alwin - well, he's just a complete star.

This is an excellent site just a few minutes' walk from Rhosneigr beach and village. Arrival is very relaxed - just turn up and pitch! The owner, Alwyn, comes round each morning to collect payments so you can stay as long as you like.

Shower and toilet facilities are basic but spotlessly maintained. There is a small utility room where you can freeze ice packs, use a tumble dryer and do your washing up. There is no shop or playground but both are available in the village.

There is plenty of space on the main field, but the electric hook-ups are closer together. On the plus side, the hook-up pitches are much closer to the toilets and showers.

The owners are charming, accessible and couldn't have been more helpful. In the village there are a couple of convenience stores (open until 9.30 pm), pubs, cafes, a fish & chip shop and a pizzeria which sometimes does takeaways - a bit on the pricey side but very good.

This is a gem of a site - we'll be back!
