The site has basic facilities. We drove on and pitched our tent in a suitable spot. We didn't see anyone official until the following morning.
The facilities are basic but there were plenty of loos and they were kept clean. The showers were ok but there was litle in the way of some where to hang your towel or clothes. I would say they could do with a little updating, however didn't begrudge the 20p in the meter as there was plenty of time for us to shower.
The farmer did come round in the morning, but found it a little off putting that he was driving round in his car.
The site was basically clean and tidy, but if he had walked around the site he may have spotted the couple of bits of broken glass in the field.(these were very small shards that may well have fallen out of someones rubbish bag)
It is also very close to RAF Valley and was quite noisy during a normal day when the planes were landing. However on Friday we were treated to a display by the Red Arrows who were obviously training.
Despite the minor niggles, it was a very good site and at £11 per night was good value for money.

Site is very basic but if you just want to camp it is perfect. Had a great weekend with 4 children and a dog. Friendly and welcoming. Just turn up and find a pitch. Some more level than others. Toilet block, shower block (3 ladies 3 gents) and washing up sinks availble. No shop but spa in village 5 mins walk.

Been coming to this site for quite a few years..and it never fails to be a better holiday than the last!! True, the site facilities are basic (but very, very clean)but in the eyes of our 4 kids..a caravan holiday just isnt the same unless we're going to "Alwyns" aka Bodfan Farm! The days are filled with riding bikes, digging up the sand-dune at one end of the site, building secret dens in the surrounding gorse bushes, running free in the sun (and often the rain!) and strolling down to the little village of Rhosneigr for an ice-cream at the ice-cream parlour. This is THE place to come if you have kids, we've been to "Posh" sites with pools and activites by the sand bucket load, but nothing can compare with the freedom and space and spectaculor views that you will get by spending a holiday at "Alwyn's"!

June 2005 Had fond memories of this site from being a kid. Have just spent a weekend here with my own family. Site is basic. toilets, showers X3 each for men & women, laundry & washing up facilities in shower block. Ice packs refrozen free of charge, place in freezer in laundry room. No shop or club on site but the farmer does sell gas. There are a few EHU's available. Phone if you want EHU.
Just turn up & pitch farmer will call round in the morning to collect payment. Was £11.00 per night for 2 Adults & 2 Kids with our frame tent. Was told it would be £12.00 pn for same during summer hols. Great basic site, short walk to village shops, beach, pub etc. Easy drive to other areas of Anglesey.

April 2004 Have visited this site many times, it is a fantastic place to take children. They have all the basic facilities that you need. No arcades or clubs - fantastic. It is full of wide open spaces for children to play and for them to make dens. The location is excellent everything within easy walking distance.
