This as our first on a Caravan Club Site (used CL and CS sites before) and we'd visited this site last year as a rekkie whilst staying on a very poor CL site in the area in late autumn 2 years ago. Anyway on arrival reception was unmanned and I had to call out for someone to serve me as it where. That aside, we found our pitch (offered a choice) which was a fully serviced hard-standing pitch which was wide enough for caravan, awning and car.
We stayed for 3 nights and found all the toilet facilities and water disposal facilities excellent. Given where the site was placed, we found the site amazingly quiet and very close to some lovely walks and facilities.
We will certainly use the site again when in the area.

Our third visit. Love it, it has all you can want clean warm facilities good showers privacy cubicles laundry and wash up area oh, and a games room. Reception had odds and ends you may need and you could order papers. A short walk to a pub that served good food and had a children's play area which over looked the White Water Rafting which was fun to watch, you could walk on the river bank into Stockton which is under going a refurb and should be good when finished. The opposite way from the site was a shopping area Asda B&M and Range etc. The staff were very helpful, pleasant and fun. We will be back again

People were very friendly and all I spoke to had been many times. It's well laid out with everything needed. Toilets, showers very good. The site staff very helpful. Lots of thing to do and see at the Tees barrage. Lots of good shops nearby. Lots of interesting places nearby for coast or county.

We stayed here for a week and were very impressed with the site and surroundings. Clean ablutions with lots of hot water, very easy walking to the local Beefeater and Asda - though it was a long circuitous drive to get to Asda for any heavy shopping. Morrisons half mile away with a huge shopping and leisure complex surrounding it. Chip van called Friday evenings. Easy stroll to the canoe course and cafe with river walks each way. We had days out at Durham, Redcar and beaches, and a day exploring the coast going North. One tip, if you want wifi and do not want to pay Caravan Club prices, currently £40 for 100 hrs, then park close to the hotel who charge £10 for a weeks use of their site and it is free in the restaurant. We will definitely be using the site again.

We chose this site as it was conveniently located for an event we were attending in the area and found it to be a little gem.
The site was full but did not feel crowded and we were able to choose from the available pitches so we found a nice spot close to the facilities.
The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and the water piping hot. This was also the case with the pot washing area and in fact throughout the site.
Teeside Park is within walking distance and houses an array of shops, eating places, a cinema, bowling, casino, Morrisons supermarket and petrol station. If you turn left as you come off the site there is a five minute walk to Asda on Portrack Lane for all your essentials.
Portrack Lane also offers larger shops such as Range, B and M, Go Outdoors and a number of furniture and DIY stores. Stockton itself has a large market on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well as a bustling shopping centre and a number of pubs and eating places.
Splash swimming pool is definitely worth a visit if you have little ones as, although not huge, does provide inflatables and a wave machine.
Further afield finds beaches at Hartlepool, Redcar, Whitby, Saltburn and loads of nearby tourist attractions ( The Historic Quay at Hartlepool for example). Definitely worth a visit!

Have visited this site twice now is close to local amenities such as teeside park and portrack lane. Asda is within walking distance. We did dine in the pub just outside the site but found it to be quite expensive.
There is a fish and chip van on a friday night which parks at the entrance to the park which is very nice. Toilets and shower facilities are very clean.
There is a small playpark which the children enjoyed playing on and also a games room for the older children. Site staff friendly and helpful.
We would return to this site if we were wanting to travel local for the weekend. We would also recommend this site to others

Our third visit to White Water we love it here walks for me and a pub out side the door for OH
The site is well laid out and children's play area in one corner so you could have a pitch in a child free area, toilet block fully up to CC quality.
Staff very helpful and the reception had a variety of produce and papers could be ordered. The thing that makes this site for us is the rafting centre at the gates it has been newly built and is wonderful to sit and watch the kayaks and rafts.
There is a walk a long the river passed the barrage into town last time we walked was missing a few benches and litter bins but did not walk it this time so they could now be there, we came back by bus the stop is next to barrage about 10 minutes walk.
The pub at the gates does food and has a child play area and wide screen TVs and good beer gardens should the sun shine( it did for a while for us). Would recommend. We will be back again.

Very very expensive. I only wanted 1 night to make sure my van was ok before I use it for a week down south. The pitch I was on was very boggy and they charge me £29. 90 for 1 night. I could have been to loads of different sites and they said that's cheap
Only good thing is the road out We had people who moaned at us for having children and a small clean dog.
The river is a nice walk if you get past the needles

We stayed on this lovely site for two days on the 24/08/2011-26/08/2011, with our touring caravan.
On arrival the people were so friendly and helpful, the site itself was very clean, there is a superb walk down by the river, and many shops and restaurants in short walking distances. Teeside park was great for the kids with the cinema and bowling just on our doorstep. The shower block was cleaned to a high standard, and plenty of showers to use as well. There was a pub just outside the gates that served quality meals and prices werent to bad either. There was a small play park on the site that the kids like too. I will certainly be booking back up again its a nice relaxing site for the family.

Have been to this site several times. Seems to be a popular trend to arrive on Thursday, pitch and then leave, returning on Friday presumably after work. This doesn't cause a problem but its the first site we have seen this at.
Toilets and showers brilliant - very clean and lots of hot water.
Children on site play ball games all along the road near the play area so if you pitch there be prepared to put up with the ball bouncing off your car and van. Wardens do not stop this although they did stop them throwing the gravel from the play area at cars.
Play area is nice - slide and climbing frame - but gravel floored which is not the safest.
Police helicopter is often up and you can hear noise from the pub sometimes and the local youths in the carpark racing round on Fridays. Some road noise - mainly sirens - as close to main road.
Nice Asda - easy walking. Nice Morrisons and the whole of the Retail park. This is walkable but is a busy road.
Chip van excellent and Wardens always helpful and friendly
Nice walks up and down the river.
