Immaculate campsite
Toilet facilities and all communal areas were spotless all weekend
Great size flat pitches and a small park on site
Outside gates there is a beefeater pub and restaurant ver popular
This has a large beer garden with park
There are walks along river in both directions but we didn’t find the walks very picturesque
There is a large asda and retail park nearby
I can’t fault the site in any way but wasn’t keen on the immediate surroundings

The site is easy to find. It is next to the Tees Barrage, which is well signposted when travelling on the A19 and A66.
Once you have chosen your pitch, return to the reception where you are given a fob for the barrier to the campsite and keys to the toilet.
The toilets and washbasins are open but showers are not until 17th May at the earliest. There are 5 wristbands in a bucket of Milton outside of the toilets. You take out a wristband on entry and hang it on one of the hooks outside. On coming out of the toilet you deposit the wristband in the bucket. If there are no wristbands in the bucket you will have to wait until one becomes available.
There are hand sanitizers outside of the toilets and next to the water points.
All pitches are hard standing and are of a good size. There are also a number of full service pitches.
On exiting the site there are a number of easily accessible walks along the river. It’s not far to the North Yorkshire Moors and there are seaside attractions close by.
Although this site is not far from where I live I would use it again.

This is a lovely site, well maintained with good sized pitches. The facilities were all open, with some restrictions in place for Covid.
The staff we dealt with were lovely, and very helpful.
The site is dog friendly, and we didn't get into trouble when our wee houdini broke out twice.
There are lots of areas close by to walk the dogs or cycle.
The only negative we have to say is that the gravel pitches are really hard packed and we bent 3 heavy duty pegs trying to secure our awning, but it won't stop us from visiting again.

Very typical CC site, well kept, good sized pitches and good faculty block. Wardens helpful and friendly.
The Beefeater restaurant is literally next door as is the White Water rafting centre. ASDA a 5 - 10 minute walk behind the site along the footpath at the side of the nature reserve.
Although a fair way out from town there was a lot of noise late on at night from cars doing handbrake turns and screeching brakes etc.
Some fabulous walks along the Tees and around the water sports area.

Excellent site, pitches well spaced but you really have to be a member of the camping n motorhome club or it can be a bit expensive.
A good walk to Stockton town centre, via the tees barrage but a lovely walk, the other way there is about a ten minute walk to Asda super market.
And also a little retail park.
On the other side of the bridge is another larger retail park, bit of a walk to get to but fine once you do, .
Site wardens and staff are very friendly and kind, telling you what you have to do under the circumstances,
But
The only gripe I have is
The toilet facilities are a bit to be taken in
3 hooks on each toilet/shower door ok you say BUT if you want to go to the toilet only and you have 3 people in having showers well I rest my case,
Think it should be
3 keys for the shower
2 keys underneath for toilet
Your not going to pass anyone if your only going to the toilet.
But
Will I come back a BIG YES I love this place
I know times are difficult.

We used the site as a base for going to an event in Stockton.
Nice site, well maintained and well located for shops, pubs etc.
It’s on the Tees Barrage so also a good base for rafting or canoeing on the Tees.

The site is very well maintained, lovely wide pitches and shower block is excellent.
We arrived about 5. 30 on a friday, travelling with friends, and where greeted with a list of rules, don't keep pitches, don't drive fast, dogs on leaders etc. The staff seemed hassled and snappy.
The site is lovely but I feel they prefer members. Although dogs are welcome, they actually have a poem beside the plant pots telling you nicely not to let your dog wee beside the plants.
There is a "games room" on site however this was full of adults 15 plus every night drinking, making it not likely to be used by any visiting families with children. It's an ideal site for its location. Plenty of shops and pubs in the area, very quiet too.

This site is immaculate. The managers are all very friendly and helpful.
It is a great base to explore area. Saltburn, Guisborough, Yarm and Northallerton were all great trips out.
Stockton itself is surprisingly an interesting town on a great riverside location.
Would recommend without hesitation to all

To Find Site:- Continue on A19 until junction with A66 and join this road heading west. At next junction leave A66 and follow signs to Tees Barrage. At roundabout take second exit and cross Tees Barrage. Continue and take first right signed for Premier Inn and campsite is a little further on left.
White Water Park is situated on the outskirts of Stockton on Tess next to the Tees Barrage International White Water Centre. The location is quite quiet being some distance from any major roads.
The site is open all year and non-members are accepted. In total there are 97 pitches all on hardstanding. 21 of these pitches are serviced with fresh and waste water points. The serviced pitches seem quite generous in size and have privacy hedges. Electric points are convenient to all pitches and are rated at 16 amps using CEE 17 blue connectors.
There is one large central facility block with toilets and showers of a high quality. Included in the block is a covered washing-up room, a laundry room and games room. In front of the block is an excellent motorhome water/waste point with a drive over open grid water dump.
Service points are dotted around the site. Children are well catered for with a games room and a nice play area. Apparently there have been a few cases of unsecured bicycles being stolen from the site. There is a bank of bike lockers where bikes can be secured.
There is site wide WiFi which whilst not fast seemed to work reasonably well. Likewise the 4G signal was fine. Reception sells a few essentials including milk and gas. Newspapers can also be ordered. This site also has a storage compound.
This site is ideal for exploring this part of the North East. It is also a handy site for those that don’t want to take their own transport off site as there is a lot to do in the immediate area of the site.
Tees Barrage International White Water Centre is virtually opposite the site entrance and the actual Tees Barrage just the other side of the course. There are quite a few off road cycling opportunities from the site including to Stockton on Tees and Middlesbrough.
There is a printed guide in the information room on getting to the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough. For shopping the nearest supermarket to the site is ASDA which is less than half a mile away.
Buses to Stockton or Middlesbrough are on the main road just across the ASDA car park. There are more buses from the other side of the Tees Barrage but this is a slightly longer walk. For eating out there is a Beefeater Restaurant next to the Premier Inn Hotel just across from the site entrance.
