Had a 2 night break here, because its only an hour or so from home and we wanted to test the new tow car.
Lovely, clean site with clean toilets & shower blocks. Well placed water taps & disposal points. You wouldn't think you were so close to the town!
Pub was lovely on a hot day, and plenty of shops nearby to keep older children entertained. Not much on site for children though.
Overall, well recommended!

Our first visit to this site. We were in a tent and were with parents who were in a caravan.
We were positioned right next to each other in the area when you first come in to the site which was a nice area.
The site was well kept, barrier for entry and well located for a 24hr asda, pub and nice walks to the rapids etc. The A19 didn't bother me at all.
On the night there were rabbits around which my daughter really enjoyed watching.
The showers were nice and clean and the pot washing area was under cover which was useful. We got the key for the family bathroom which was great with two small children.
The only downside is we did find the gentleman warden a little short at one point. Once we'd set up we were cooking a BBQ and he came over to check and moan at us as the smoke was going across the entrance. We couldn't really help this due to where we were positioned on the first plot. We offered to move it but his attitude was a little off putting.
Also, on the evening he asked a group of campers to leave as they had built a self made fire under a gazebo (which was fair enough I suppose).
I would consider returning to the site but it's not great when you feel 'told off' or watched at every move.

Stayed just one night last bank holiday - we wanted more but the site was full
As usual the standard of the site was excellent but what I didn't expect was the peace and quite! the site is between the A66 an A19 and I expected a lot of road noise but there was hardly any.
Lovely walks along the river - very close to stockton centre and portrack retail area with go outdoors new shop and a large asda.
Also walking distance from teeside park with shopping, restaurants and cinema.
I work in the area quite a bit but would like to explore its attractions a bit more so we will definitely return

Having just stayed on this site second weekend running would love to recommend to others. Excellent caravan club site toilets immaculate showers that knock you off your feet with hot water and clean. Right on the door step is the tees barrage, a lovely dog walk round portrack wetlands, and the talpore pub. Not far from teeside retail park (walking distance) this site has it all and we recommend highly.

What a cracking site, sat here now after a few nights so far and am thrilled with the site. Only picked up our van in sept (first one) so have not seen a great range of parks yet (this is our 5th) but as its only 30 mins from home gave it a try, loads of space between pitches and as we could not get a hard standing on grass which has been okay after the recent snow / hail / rain.
The toilets/shower block are great with the hottest and most powerful showers on earth spotlessly clean and tidy, small games room with pool table arcade machine.
Rabbits running free and some great views across towards the hills.
Pub next door is good (would prefer some real ale though) food not bad at all, around 3 mins drive away is retail park.Cinema bowling with restaurants to choose from.
The only downside that I can find (sorry she) can find is the dishwashing facilities are outside although undercover and could do with a general rubbish bin there for the dirty bag/cloth - Minor I know.
Will absolutely return and its a great little spot.

I had my doubts about this site on the drive to it, very busy and industrial area but once on site you would never know, you could be out in the county apart from some slight road noise. The area around about has had a lot of work and money spent to improve it and the white water canoeing course is great. The tees barrage is also a very interesting piece of engineering. Lots of shops and things to do,Hartlepool historic quay was a great day out and well worth a visit. The toilets on site was kept nice and clean and what great power showers they nearly blow your eyebrows off. The only bad point was the gravel in the play park not a good idea, gravel fights was a favourite game for the kids and I felt sorry for the caravans next to the park as they must have been getting a serving of gravel rash on there paint work. The wardens where very friendly and helpful and asked the kids in the park to stop throwing gravel a number of times but kids will be kids.

This is an update to previous report. We have visited White Water again and although the site is still fantastic (even when full there were no queues and space for all) you can no longer have two cars on pitch. This is not the site's decision but Caravan Club new policy (and is a real pain!)

We only live literally ten minutes away from this site but wanted to stay somewhere close as we had the day before picked up our new van. I was unable to complete the booking via the caravan club website and it instructed me to ring the site direct. I did and it was just after 7pm on the thursday evening. When I said I wanted a pitch for the following day, the man I spoke to rather abruptly told me the office had closed at 6pm and why didn't I book via the caravan club site. I explained the site had directed me to ring which I don't think he believed, he said he wasn't prepared to check there and then and I need to ring back at 9am the next day. Not a great start!
I rang the next morning and spoke to a very helpful lady who I have to say was great, we booked the pitch and arranged to arrive at 4pm ish.
When we were shown our pitch we couldn't get electric, we assumed it was a problem with the new van but as far as we could see everything was ok so we went to the office. The same warden on the phone said he was having his tea and we would have to wait - fair enough but we couldn't understand the attitude?? he was very put out and came to have a look - turns out it was the site and the box had tripped and had to be re-set.
The site itself is lovely and living so close it was nice to experience that area around the tees barrage that we pass everyday but never actually see. The site was spotless, great location with the Talpore pub next door and Teesside Retail Park a 15minute walk. The rabbits on the site seemed very tame and it nice seeing them all running around!
Again facilities were very good. My partner went off site on Friday to meet up with a relative and got dropped off at about 9.45pm at the site - her relative pulled up to let her out and the same warden shot out of the office building and said your not planning on parking there are you - my partner said she was getting dropped off - he didn't say a word but watched while my partner said her goodbye's and waited until the relative had left!
This is a lovely site but the attitude of that particular person really put me off - we stay often at other Caravan Club sites in the North Yorkshire area and are made to feel a lot more comfortable and welcome than at this site.
Anyone not from the area I would definitley say to stay there as its a great way to see what my lovely area has to offer but we will be giving it a miss.

What a Lovely Site. Well looked after. Pleasant Staff. Toilet / shower block to die for. Power showers wow! Plenty of space between pitches. Dogs welcome on leads good dog walk just outside campsite Plenty to do and see in the area. You feel as if you are in the countryside miles from anywhere, but so close to everything. Will be back very shortly.

This was our first experience of caravanning having bought a brand new caravan.
When we arrived we were greeted by very helpful staff who were going out of their way to assist us.
We wanted to join the caravan club but it was very busy and we were keen to get started. They happily agreed to let us complete the forms when we had time and explained the use of the electric hook up and gave us a number of leaflets to assist us. They also said if we had any problems we could come back and ask for help.
We pitched our caravan near the childrens play area and instantly found a really relaxing atmosphere and other caravanners ready to assist and offer words of wisdom.
Our son played on the play area which was a number of different activities, slide etc but did have a stone gravel floor which is unappropriate if a child was to fall. This was a focal point for children of all ages and very safe and enclosed.
The toilet facilities were very clean and extensive and included a disabled and baby changing area.
The water and waste facilities are dotted around the site and easy to use etc.
The little shop was handy and a super market was within 5 minutes walk.
Lots of rabbits roaming about which were entertaining.
The barrage which is adjacent was lovely and very exciting for our son and ourselves with the opportunity to go canoeing or rafting. Book in advance though.
Whilst we only live about 20 miles away it felt like we could have been anywhere in Britian.
A great weekend and we will definitely be back soon.
