This is a very nicely set out site within a very short walking distance of South Shore and all that Blackpool has to offer. The pitches are concrete hardstanding with nice grass areas, and it looks attractive.
It also has a club house attached which you are able to use. This had very reasonably priced drinks, bingo and other things on. It is circa £25/28 per night as I write, and if you are using location location location as your bench mark then this will not disappoint.
On to the negatives: The shower blocks. They were warm, but this is the only good thing I can find to say. They are as has been said in other reviews very dated, but also they looked dirty, and uncared for, paint peeling, rusty appliances, and there was a general air of neglect. They are the worst I have come across in my travels and I couldn't bring myself to use them. This might not be a problem to you if you are happy to use your own facilities of course.
The road noise is very noticeable; this is not a problem that can be solved by the site, and you have to accept this if you get a site so well placed, but if your intention was to sit out and relax you might find it annoying - we got used to it.
The one problem for us with this site is that they have a locked barrier, which means unless you are in a car you are unable to leave without finding somebody to come and let you out. As we had a long onward journey this was a problem because in the morning we when we wanted to leave early we couldn't. Our enquiry the night before as to what time we could expect somebody to be there to let us out was met with very vague comments of who might be in or have a key and at what time they might get in. We were offered to park in the outer car park overnight as a solution - but having paid for £28 for the night we did not want to park in a general car park with no hook up or anything else.
We were able to leave at 0830, so for some this might not have been a problem although I did hear I was not the first to have found it so. We did understand the reasoning behind having the barrier but it is the first place we have been where you were physically locked in. I am not sure what arrangements are in place if there was a problem requiring the emergency services in the night, but cannot say that there are none.
My impression was that this was a site used by many regulars who didn't live far away and maybe therefore were not in a hurry to get away on their journey. Would I use the site again? probably yes.

I have used this site regular over a number of years great pitches at £28. 00 night is not cheap the toilets and showers are not what you would expect very poor, this site run by social committee who don't seem to want to upgrade.
Even though they say that you can use the social club as you get a membership card for the length of stay beware some times you have to pay to get in to the club sometimes £4. 00 a person even been there when it was £8. 00 to get in beware.

Spent 4 days here, expensive site £25 in the week but £28 at weekends, easy access to the front and pubs etc (about 20 minutes walk) toilets are shocking for the price you pay and need modernising, dirty smelly and very small, if you want wifi its an extra £2 per night, tv reception for digital is poor, and very very noisy due to the road and railway, unfortunately due to the position of there site the owners realise they can charge what they want, disappointing !

A great camp-site in the centre of Blackpool within walking distance of promenade and attractions. Site is absolutely spotless and the warden was very helpful, bar in social club and its open every night for dancing etc. I tried the Wi-Fi and I was pleasantly surprised, was as good as any I have got, about 3mb. Toilet/shower block would want to be modernised and I think one key per pitch for toilets is not enough. Will be back.

Cracking, well run little site looked after by a very friendly & helpful chap. Great location, about a 10 minute walk to Pleasure Beach and South Shore, Tower about 30 minutes walk. Not much for kids but with everything so close don't think that would be an issue. Bus stops into Blackpool & Lytham St. Annes within a 5 minute walk from site and regular service throughout day. Toilets are small & basic but very functional & spotlessly clean as was rest of site and even though site was reasonably busy didn't have to queue any time during our 3 night stay. Large concrete(not gravel) pitches surrounded by well manicured grass so easy enough to peg down awnings etc if required. Social club on site which we didn't get round to using but looks quite good with different entertainment on various nights. Must be quite near a hospital as you could hear sirens from ambulances quite regular but to be honest you got used to it and certainly wouldn't put me off again. Glad we stayed here and look forward to returning in the future.

Fantastic site just had a 2 day stay quite a narrow entrance to site. Site is kept immaculate warden is really polite and helpful pointing out parks and alternative swimming venue club on site very reasonable has washing and drying facilities and pot wash and chemical waste point think we have found a gem site already booked 2 more visits this season. This site is a 5 min walk from the fun fair and south pier there is a supermarket 5 mins walk away local shops 3 mins walk away chemist etc. The warden is on site all day grounds are maintained to a very high standard bins emptied regularly

A grand site, so welcoming and the staff so helpful. We had a great time both on and off site during our visit. The club attached to the site provided entertainment with a twist, ballroom dancing and country & western nights to name only two. The fact that the site is less than ten minutes walk away from the Pleasure Beach and indoor Aqua park is an added bonus, not forgetting the tram and bus services into town being so handy. Thank you all so much. We hope to return some day soon.

Great little site for close access to blackpool pleasure beach.
Good points - level hard standing pitches, good spacing between pitches,
Very friendly chap in charge, nice clean site.
Bad points- access to site can be very difficult if neighbors do not park on kerbs, no privacy wash cubicles, in fact if you are washing ect; someone would have to squeeze by to use urinals, and waste chemical disposal is not sloped enough for waste to clear itself meaning I had to wash away some one else s toilet waste (they should be ashamed)
Overall experience- we did not use the club but looking in it seemed fine, this is a good site for short stops if the caravan club site is closed or you are happy to use your own facilities

Great little site and social club. However the toilet block could do with upgrading. Some of the camper vans and caravans on site were newish and well looked after. As usual a group of irresponsible parents allowed their children rampage through the site, but worse of all allowed them the kick footballs all over the site which at times bounced off other peoples caravans some of them being damaged. No use approaching the parents.
I feel it would enhance the enjoyment of caravanners using the site if signs were put up stating no ball games. This would have to be enforced. I heard people complaining along the same lines some even leaving early.
