Great wee site on arrival, little gem in Blackpool, all hardstanding pitches and well kept surroundings, although at £23 for a night I thought was excessive. Attendant we met was welcoming although he made no attempt to tell us where everything was so we had to wonder about and find toilets, water, chemical disposal and laundry ourselves
Narrow access road and site is at bottom, no problems getting down though, residents appear to park slightly on kerb on both sides and mirrors were all folded in.
Location is great, 10min walk to Pleasure Beach and Promenade.
Never used social club but it did appear to be a busy wee place.
Not so better points,
Wifi available but you need to pay for it
Toilet blocks and showers are in need of upgrading, mould and damp visible, taps and shower heads need descaling etc
Toilet block and showers very cramped
Laundry room was big room with only sink, washing machine and a dryer in it, (could surely be better utilised)
Chemical disposal was right round back of building and had no lid on it so area there was stinking (basically an open sewer)
I think a new small toilet block with keypad entry in the centre of the site with all amenities (toilets, showers and chemical disposal)would be a great addition to this site and the owners would see the benefit as much as the users.
On arrival you get one key for toilets and a fob for barrier entry to site, 2 toilet keys would be better.
No play area for kids to keep themselves amused, they just seem to wonder about the site, little swing and chute would be ideal addition and there is space for it.

Stayed here for two nights during our half term so that we could visit the Pleasure Beach and the Illuminations. Location was excellent for getting to both and to the other main attractions. Small site but well kept. Pitches are all hard standing and open plan so no dividers between them. All had electric hook up easily accessible. Toilet block isn't very big but we were only there two nights. Would have been a bit of a nuisance if we'd been there longer as only one key given to access both male and female sections so had to go together and with kids you can always predict that one of them will want to go if the other is in with the key! Block itself is quite old but facilities were clean. Separate outside area to clean chemical toilet. One price for the pitch £23 a night, which I didn't think was bad considering the location. We went to the Brewers Fayre pub for dinner next door which is connected to the Premier Inn. Access road to the site is quite narrow - a residential street but luckily the residents obviously don't want their wing mirrors all clipped as they parked partially on the pavements! The one drawback for us was that it backs onto a main road and so there is a lot of road noise. However it is really the only campsite within a walk of all the attractions. No camping allowed just caravans and motorhomes. Site was full when we were staying.

This was our first visit to Hampton Road but it definitely will not be the last. The location of the site is excellent, just a few minutes from the Promenade and Pleasure Beach. The pitches are well laid out with space for an awning alongside the concrete hard standing and the site is kept very tidy. The shower block was on the small side but there was always hot water available and they were always clean despite the site being full.
There is a cafe just a short walk away, we didn't use it but it always appeared busy which is usually a good sign. The main road runs behind the site and although there was some noise, it wasn't excessive.
We called into the Social Club and found the prices quite reasonable and the staff very helpful. We had our Grand-Daughter with us so we didn't say long. Their was a £2 charge on the door as there was a live band which again we thought was reasonable, there was no charge for children.

Very nice park clean facilities and the people was helpful. The grass was well maintained with clear signage great as near to the south shore {near the pleasure beach not the clubs but taxi is very cheap to them }. It is also situated near an aldi and over the bridge a lovely little cafe for nice full English, a shop for bread milk etc, turn down at the cafe and there's a garage for fixing and misshaps you may have had and if you turn right and walk down you will come to a lot of shops you may have never been in especially for vintage collectors a toy shop and second hand shops too the collectors shop is cheap compared to some. We went in the club which is part of the campsite and on the first night Tuesday was greeted with a lovely lively helpful genuine polite man and if you wanted to know anything he would exceed your expectations. On the other nights they were polite but not like him the bar staff/team weren't very chatty but never rude just got on with there job. There was jive on and then line dancing Wednesday and our last night. If you know how to ballroom and have a partner for it you will like it. If you like jive dancing and want to learn to line dance its ideal. The club played golden oldies music and was not really busy. So for a drink great or even a bite to eat as they did food the chips were exceptionally good, the drinks were cheap. If you wanted a lively bar this is not for you, children were welcome but not catered for.

Just got back from a brilliant 2 night camp at this site
And it is a real find in the perfect location to enjoy Blackpool.
This site was only a 10 minute walk away from the seafront
And Pleasure Beach. A clean, lovely laid out site with
Hard pitches with grass to the side for awnings. The toilet
Block had excellent hot showers and was spotless. The owners were very welcoming and being the local social club too, there was a happy buzz about the place. They have live music and cabaret there some weekends and drinks are very reasonably priced. We felt safe and secure in a prime position to visit all of Blackpool's attractions. The pitch price was very reasonable too. We are really pleased to have found such a great place, so handy for a weekend in Blackpool with the kids. They had a laundry room too for those stopping longer and this again was clean and well maintained. The owners even let us park the next day in their car park so we could venture onto the seafront for a final farewell. We will definitely be visiting this site again. Note that this site is only for Caravans and Motorhomes - so glad we have a campervan!. A play area for small children may be a nice addition, although to be honest our children had enough to do in Blackpool itself! and those on the site were happy to play on their scooters.
Thank you for a welcoming place to stay :)!

Fantastic site.
This site is excellent if you enjoy a good night out. It has an excellent club on site with fantastic artists. Friday nights are rocn 'n' roll, Sundays are country & western where the regulars dress up in costumes and shoot their guns.
The site is the nearest to the pleasure beach and just a short walk to the promenade.
We are regular visitors to this site and we really enjoy our visits.
Toilet blocks are a little small but always clean, grass is always well trimmed and the all weather hard standings are perfect and level.
If there were any drawbacks, I would say that it is very difficult to get booked up on bank holiday, through the kids school holidays and when the illuminations are on and it is a touch expensive.

Only good thing I could say about this site is that it's close to Blackpool front. The main problem was our caravan was less than 6 metres from a very busy main road, the traffic is very loud and constant and we hardly had any sleep for 3 nights. To enter the site you need to drive down a residential street which is very tight. Dog dirt on the grass. Some 'creature' came into the awning through the night and ate the dogs food.

We booked to stay at Hampton Road Caravan Park for two nights in October. The site was easy to find and an excellent base for walking into Blackpool, only ten minutes! The site is very basic, the toilet block is dated and small and the surrounding area is not attractive.
The site has a club house but we didn't visit so can't comment, but we could not sleep for the noise level, people shouting that went on into the early hours thus we left the following morning only staying one night. At £26 per night we thought was expensive compared with many other beautiful sites with more facilities.

Location is key here 10 mins from south pier and pleasure beach it really is top notch!
The site itself is small and well set out and brilliantly run. It has a social club on site and again this is superb with a lot of friendly folk inside. Love this site and defo will return!

It was really easy to find this site via the directions on the webite.
On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the Manager/Site warden and given a choice of pitches.
The site looks well maintained and the grass was cut twice in the week we stayed.
Site is accessed through a fob operated security gate.
Digital tv reception was good.
The showers are a wee bit small and due to some previous selfish users were in a bit of a mess.
As many reviewers have mentioned the location is ideal for access to the south shore and Pleasure Beach - about a 10 minute walk.
The pitches are of a reasonable size.
After one night of torrential rain the site was a bit flooded but soon drained the following morning.
Would definitely use this site again if heading for Blackpool.
